MrUgur97 Gods stay away from the REAL ones. They do these tests to see if these rappers will do "hoe shit" if they will participate then get mad n try to back track or call them crazy.
That shit he said about coming from nothing and wanting only the very basics to have a happy life hit me so hard, nearly made me tear up. It's so true. This is the reality my peers from low income places are facing. We never had anything, we lived in an apartment, with a mom who worked two jobs just to keep food on the table... Now I just want a nice home in a nice neighborhood for me and my girl where we can raise a family, man. But other people question you for being unambitious and simple, but they don't understand that to people like us, simple is the most we could've ever hoped for. We never had that shit, we always struggled.
Just keep going for it. You're on the right path. Get your house, build your family, and ignore ANYONE who messes with you for wanting that or gets in your way in the process. Love.
"For black people, the black bussiness is trauma", defenitely one of the realest comments I heard in any interviews like these. This kid has his head on straight in every way.
Prime. So did I. I'm often intrigued by the things he says. I like to go to back to many of his interviews and older freestyles when I'm having a bad day. Funny, talented, and intelligent. Great to see. #blackboyjoy
This kid is smart as hell. I'm an old hip hop head and this cat is a different breed but without distancing himself from his peers. Dude's integrity shines...
Vince and Rosenberg are real life homies. People can hate but as far as mainstream "pop culture" media their show attempts to move and improve the culture forward. Vince reinforces this in the interview. This should be required watching for all fans of the culture.
Nathan Wondessen I think it’s because he’s not being super complicated. It’s just simple. But I think he has a knack for taking complex thoughts and breaking them down.
It's like people be putting low standards for black people on what being smart is , so when a dude is fairly articulate with his thoughts , they act all surprised which is all the more detrimental to black people's self image
Not even just well spoken... I feel bruh vernacular fits him.. But if he was to be taught like proper interview etiquette and combine that with his already persona. He can legit be listened to and you prob would say idc for the music. I fucks with him as a person on a whole nother level.
I think it's a little more than common sense bro, most people don't naturally graft together individual pieces of loosely related information to form a functional model of reality. This man not only identifies shortcomings in the current state of things, but addresses their philosophical underpinnings and knows when to provide plausible solutions and when to acknowledge his own lack of answers. He does all this without trying, I think he does it without even really knowing he's doing it. The young brother is gifted
fr, I don't know if Vince realizes it but he's describing complex anthropological principles like Maslow's ideas of self-actualization, sheerly based off of his own experiences in life and relating them in an easy-to-understand way
Quq Spearman if it it right in our face and people cant see it then he is dropping knowledge. He is speaking the truth and no bs, and that is why it is a good thing.
Vince is honestly one of the smartest people in hip hop today. People like him, Kendrick, Logic, Cole, Joey Bada$$, these are the kind of people we need to teach young fans and new rappers to make real shit and express good ideas and be a good person

Obviously some don't like him but you got to admit some started Hating hating because it became popular
Mr. D exactly my man he has their attention when you're real ppl can't take you ..like pac said " i didn't get a record until i made a record " real shit
Vince Staples was really out here banging, I'm glad he changed you can tell by his demeanor. Look up Larry Hoover, T Rodgers, Monster, and a bunch of old school gang leaders. Vince has the same demeanor at 23, this kid is a legend. Really guys, search those gang leaders up. Vince has that same exact charisma/wisdom
One thing I wanna comment about though is how he was trying to say Rap was more diverse and creative back then. I'm arguing it's even more diverse and creative now. We got Kendrick, over there, J.Cole over there, Chance over there, Joey over there Pusha over there, Travis Scott over there, Freddie Gibbs over there, Schoolboy Q over there, Jay Rock over there, Ab-Soul over there, El-P, Killer Mike, Mick Jenkins, Kemba, J.I.D., King Mez, Towkio, Vince himself ect. ect. Not to mention the ogs he was mentioning still putting out music, Ye, Jay, Lupe, Nas. C'mon bro, Rap is strong as ever artistically, but people wanna be cynical and not give it its proper credit.
kashstory I feel he was right in hi diverity assessment from back in the 80s and 90s/early 00 ....mainly because when you break the music down its much more similarity in the newer rappers today. for instance you got Lil Uzi and Madeintyo making similar style music then a gang of dudes sounding the same in trap music, Yacthy and 50Tyson style rappers.... so what I'm saying is the styles are more densly packed with 30-40 guys doing the same sound. the percentage of rappers thagsound the same is skyrocketing because they just riding the wave and it's causing the rap and hip-hop scene to suffer. mainstream music particularly ....you got to go underground mostly to find diversity. now the poster boy for my thoughts on this is Tory Lanez. dude doesn't even have his own sound but puts out songs that sound like everybody else's stuff....😂😂😂 so now instead of everybody doing what they want to do most rappers fall into big pockets of similarity moreso than diversity. wedo still have standouts like a Vince Staples or Flatbush zombie or J Cole or Kendrick Lamar or ab-soul or cannibal Ox, but for the most part (75% I'd say)are just regurgitation of other people because the artists are afraid to be themselves, worry bout the money, and what's gone pop like XYZ over here did. so they just end up grabbing this guy's lane and putting out content like that instead of what they really want to do. it's partly on the major labels and partly on the artist that they do that but that's what they told they got to do these days to sell a record n make money. major labels won't put out your music if you can't keep a hot song. so the new artists bandwagon rap styles so they keep getting money....when they don't need to really at all
youre right , in the era that he said in the early 80s it DEFINITELY sint more creative but from like late 80 to like 2001 HIP HOP was the most creative. Now we struggle to even call what we are listening to hip hop.

I been waiting on Vince to make his interview run. Shit always legendary
Damn 10min in and I'm enlightened
Vince Staples Is The Most Humble Person
I love how Staples interviews are broader than just his music. Makes the interview that much better.
Boy yeah right 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Vince is such an interesting guy, a real role model
Damn, Vince said so much that should be talked about in this video alone, but the most trendy topic right now is "doitlooklikeImleftoffbadnboujee". Shit just hit me how sad social media is.
Gray 👏🏽 this needs to be top comment
Gray Illuminati
Gray lmao that shit funny af though my nigga cmon
What's one thing that you think should be talked about? On some real talk. I'm all for learning others views and challenging mines and others..
You know people are capable of talking bout more than one topic right?
Vince Staples is a genius. Point, blank, period,
The homie Vince was educated by some real OGs. You can tell.
Vince the type of friend to stick up for you when you're not around #RealAF
I don't even listen to Vince's music and I'm tired as fuck right now, but i just sat through almost 1 hour of this interview and enjoyed it very much.
Its dope when vince speak, he make stubborn people shut up and think
He's on a Tupac type level of conscious wow! And we forget that PAC was only 24 as well. This dude has a great head on his shoulders tho
pac still promoted the stuff he spoke against tho
@@Qistexas yeah pac was dumb as hell in his last year or two
On god, Vince's interviews the best interviews.
Vince dropped a game changer album
tavis not really it was an average album compared to his others
SneakingFox not even his artistically grown just because it's not gangster rap don't mean it's bad
tavis Vince was never a "gangster" rapper
SneakingFox what I meant to say like his old rap like stolen youth etc I just personally think this one of the projects he ever made
I enjoy his dialog more than his music
I was watching this video and then my neighbour came and we watched it together. He said that this video changed his life and touched his heart. I then went and rented a projector in a big field and my entire town watched it and it changed their lives too. We all are so grateful.
Thank You for this video….
Vince Staple is necessary
This is the first Vince interview I've seen in a while and holy shit this guy is even wiser now. I feel like I just had a session is some class. Vince may have the best Hip-Hop album of this year, I can't stop listening to it!
Bro im speechless.. Vince is the realest
It's good for mental health to replay this interview once every year
