    Ebro realized at several points of the interview that Vince not like the rest of these new cats out here making music. He knows alot about hiphop and the game and can't be challenged easily on issues because the guy knows what he's talking about. This interview made me like Vince 2x more.

    • @kashstory
      @kashstory 8 лет назад +31

      I think it is part of his sound. You can't really hold an artist to one signature style for long, they evolve. I think his new EP is a sign of him evolving. I see a lot of growth, and it really resonates with me. I feel the artistry behind it. Just might be the best thing he put out imo.

  • @CANDYSOULonline
    @CANDYSOULonline 8 лет назад +50

    i like him. honesty is rare, so he stands out.

  • @sjshoker
    @sjshoker 7 лет назад +31

    I think the most underrated part of the interview was when Vince Staples was labeling eras of rap. I never realized how influential ILoveMakonnen was in bringing the present era of sing-song rap (or Gucci for trap). It's more about songs defining eras than actual people. I especially liked his part when he mentioned how people were doing a style of music before, but they wouldn't get the recognition until someone else blew it up. Ty Dolla $ign was also doing that style before "Tuesday", but he needed that track to be a success before he could truly be one as well.

  • @DavonteGravesLYBB
    @DavonteGravesLYBB 8 лет назад +45

    Kinda wish Rosenberg was there, only because he really knows Vince since like 2011-12. I always get good value from his interview's. Great Personality, humble as ever. Stolen Youth is a classic go buy that EP

    Everyone in the comments saying "it's not an album"
    We get it, you think you're a professional music critic and your favorite channel is theneedledrop

      But it's not a album it's a EP, so "we get it" you obviously don't get it... if people keep saying it's a album,they are two completely things.

      +Eccentric Romè two completely**** different things? No. Two very slightly different things.
      literally the same as saying "they're not shoes they're sneakers"

      Lol @ comparing EPs/Albums to semantics like shoes/sneakers.

      No they ain't, an album has an artistic connotation of being thematic and having an underlying concept, while an EP is just tracks you throw together.

    I'm surprised to see how many people didn't fuck with Prima Donna. I like how he's music-forward and never been one to put hip hop in a box. The beats are progressive and experimental and he still spits HEAT over them. I don't see what's not to like.
