This is the level of Grown Man that the game needs to celebrate. No need to speak on what he has no NEED to speak on. Thoughts and points are clear. Hyper self aware. Lives in his own lane. No gimmicks and games to garner likes or fame. #Respect Push
"Thoughts and points are clear

For some, there is no "forgive & forget". No "squashing beef". Some people are built different. I feel Push 100%.

Holding onto hate is like holding a piece of hot coal with the intent to burn someone else. In the end you’re the one who gets burned. Can’t remember where that’s from but it’s true. Save your energy let that bull go.
Pusha T got probably one of the best run of hip-hop: Lord Willin, Hell Hath No Fury, Fear of God 2, My Name Is My Name, King Push, Daytona and now, It’s Almost Dry. Flawless. Dangerous. Amazing.
Love his personnality. Low key but still accessible.
We Got it for cheap 1, 2, & 3. Classic mixtape series too.
Pusha had two peak runs: Clipse (02 - 09) & his solo career (13 - now).
Fear of God 1 & 2

Push is definitely the most level headed rapper in the game right now, he knows what he's good at and he's not in a competition with anyone. Pure class.
Vince Staples is a level headed humble dude as well

I literally watched this interview w a notebook and paused it to look up everything he was talking about. From the rap beefs to the old manager. I even played the album AGAIN as they went thru the track list to hear the songs w the background info in mind. Pusha is an underrated favorite that a lot of lyricism junkies don’t realize are one of their favorites. He’s been in my top 6 all time. Hands down. Best interview for any true hip hop fan to get into 🔥🔥
Facts 👏 👏 👏 I consider myself very well rounded as it relates to music and my favorite genre of music is east coast rap. Admittedly, I cannot recall what I know about Pusha however, I WILL be binging ALL Pusha T on my 2023 Thanksgiving drive of 7.5-8 hr drive fo sho...while I am a bass head (if my rear view ain't trembling, I at happy) I love lyrics. I love words PERIODT!!!
* I've been doing the same as you during this interview (fact checking)
* thanks for your input 😉
@@laricewilcox5344 listen…GREAT lyricism w a bassy backdrop is the gift that keeps on giving! He definitely has a recurring theme but he’s lyrical nostalgia for the 90s hip hop heads. Idk if i would tell you to do an 8hr binge (due to repetitive content) I’d suggest breaking it up w some classic Hov, Nas or BlackStarr to balance Pusha’s drug talk with a lil consciousnesses. Trust me, it WILL get repetitive esp if you’re a lyrics junkie like me. But again he’s STILL one of my top 5 “adult contemporary hip hop” lyricists
Listening to Pusha T talk about rap was like watching Kobe Bryant talk about basketball.

I agree that Pusha is a bar lord but not all bar masters make good albums. Just take battle rappers for example, they usually don't make good albums. 🤔
Jeezy would still be relevant if he didn’t try to switch it up.. stick to what you know.. Pusha T knows what the ppl want 🙌🏾🔥
He sucks and you know it.
He has no story tho lack of substance is visible when lyrical rappers just talk abt the same shit on diff albums

Open air is THEEE HARDEST song on the album. The homage to the Biggie cadence in the second verse is IMMACULATE. Both Pusha & Pharrell got in they bag on this beat. BANANAS.

This entire interview is why I’ve been a loyal Pusha T fan for 20 years. He’s banned from Canada and he still doesn’t give a fuck!!!! No making up, no industry bullshit … he’s a REAL one 💯
Why’s he banned from Canada? Hardly over Drake is it?
@@barry4649 I’m not sure. It was mentioned in this interview. But if he is, he totally DOES NOT CARE. I love to see his attitude towards it!

Drake is Canadas “coolest” moment in history and they can’t have this guy selling out shows in Canada embarrassing, basically, “Canada” especially when the “goons” tried to attack him and got fucked up and stabbed in their own country.
The perfect example of Nore’s loyalty vs respect question was the situation with Pharrell and Justin Timberlake. While Pharrell may have respected Justin, his loyalty was with the Clipse. Since the Clipse wasn’t being let out of their deal, Pharrell made the decision not to produce any other artists music on Jive. Big difference between respect and loyalty. They’re not the same.
Pusha is really one of the most authentic personalities in hip hop… I’m tryn kick it w bro seem cool ash 😂😂

I completely agree with Push, no need to be fake cool with ppl for the sake of appearances. Kanye and Drake seem to really need that, but when you're not equally yoked with someone, there's no need to force it.
I think the levels you wanna reach have everything to do with your collaborations. Pusha feels it within himself he don’t need those but honestly he played his position but I feel like he played it small. He’s a strong contender in todays hip hop as a lyricist. But I like his lane
@@Thisguyecm I think he looks at himself like a niche artist. Like a small boutique store with specialized items as opposed to a department store with everything for everybody, and that's what he wants. That particular kind of success doesn't require him to collaborate with people he has no chemistry with or fondness for.
One of the best ep so far...NORE need to stay sober more often he was at hes best on this one..Pusha never disappoints..

Hearing Push talk about how important it is to balance the scale of production and rapping is so cool to me. As someone who goes in listening for the sonics first, his albums are always on point. My ears and brain hears beat first, and the fact that he always picks great beats is AMAZING. And I love how his rapping never ever gets drowned out by the production. His cadence is so pure, it’s easier on the ears and it’s easier to pick apart the lyricism. Another masterpiece by Pusha T!

reference a 2012 interview from to Die For in Vancouver in which the chef speaks openly about many things one of which is the death of a fellow Chef that committed suicide because he didn't get his second Michelin star. Also the phrase "It's to die for" is often used when speaking of food on the Michelin star level. Another fun fact is that it's also one of pushers favorite restaurants he in particularly likes the seafood. I just think it's cool that he's a real foodie and throws these things in there.
Just like on Daytona the song infrared he says "we don't do vegetables we welcome the beef and hit you with flat irons"
Peace and big ups to Push. That Grinding video was one of the first if not the first video of Norfolk VA hoods. Legendary!!!
Pusha is the only person I know that I messed with lyrically since I was a kid & now I’m a grown man & he is still doing it, maybe even on a higher level. he only gets better
You ain’t lyin
“Playa looks here I’m great in da kitchen like mournin cookware. Uncle Jemima, with my braids wrapped and 3 minute recipes for cookin flap jacks.” 🔥🔥🔥Puuusshh!
Pusha T is so Norfolk, VA. He is slept on just like the city.
Thanks Push for holding it down.
Pusha T has grown in so many different ways over the years, and all of his interviews just get better and better. I'm a fan of Nore, but I didn't like the fact that the drake situation from 2018 kept getting said too much, even after Pusha T said the first time " I don't care ".
