I've been looking into van builds for a few years and I gotta say ... this one is perfect for me! I'd much rather have a small van, though I think I'm going with a Promaster ... older one. I'm 5'3" so hopefully I'll fit without the extended roof! I'm saving this one for sure!!!

I see you are still answering comments so hope you will reply: Why do all the van conversions have the user entry on the passenger side? This is one of the best I've seen. Thanks for posting.
In the US the sliding doors are on the passenger side or curb side which is the safest way for passengers to exit the vehicle

That's a sweet ride and the build was so well explained. Love and admire the details and the effort that went into Avocado! I'm definitely using some ideas like the push drawers, I once assembled and customized/hacked a push Ikea cabinet, but forgot you can use that in a van too! Happy trails fellows 😃

Had that same van 2004 2.7l ... I found it sucked in winter because you couldn't turn off the traction control so you would try to get a run on for a hill and as soon as you started to spin the power would drop. But it handled like a sports car on ramps at highway speeds. If you are short like me the roof was just tall enough. 5'7"

This van was a budget build. Not costing more than 10k complete and can resell for that or more

Yes, absolutely. I would say the Nissan but this is more narrow.

This is a great buld. I assuming, as it is never said, that this is the Metris. Given that the interior is so low, I'm asking if they considered doing a pop-up.
This is a Sprinter low top so they can drive off road and have a low clearance. Just like a Sportsmobile.

If I’m paying the big bucks for something like this it has to have a toilet and a shower inside of it other than that I would love it.
I have a 170 wheel base Sprinter Van and took my shower out it. Wasted space. I do have a composting toilet but with 2200 planet fitness locations across the country and 23 bucks a month, the shower was worth getting rid of. I love my van. Had it 3 years and only use the shower once, 3 years ago when I built it out. It took too much of my water supply away. So not having a shower is the way to go. This is why so many vans don't have them.
Showers are also a real quick way to have serious mold issues. Condensation is already an issue without a shower. Shower at a gym, and never have to clean a shower (or worry about water usage) again 🙂
