As an engineer I can fully appreciate the clever use of materials and common sense approach of this DIY build. Very well thought out with great attention to detail. This young lady is really knowledgeable on all of the workings of her vehicle, very hands on. Each aspect is a wonderful surprise of multi functionality. It is truly a work of art with excellent workmanship, Congratulations and a credit to all who contributed to one of the best builds on Stealth Van Living I have come across so far. Practical and certainly purpose built. Well done. Look forward to progressive updates on how it works out. Cheers from Michael. Australia.
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures Hi I am a nurse too. I was wondering if there is a way to reach out to her and her spreadsheet and floor plan. Her build is a very good template for me, ie her electrical and plumbing thingies. I would, as another viewer said, make a toilet and shower space..
Loved the thin pine ceiling, the "sealed" container for propane tank (with a hole in floor for venting), and the "bathroom shower" poles holding the kitchen baskets in place. Well thought out and doesn't look/feel cramped and cluttered.
You guys did fantastic , and she just went around the van explaning each item or section with just the right amount of words, time, ect… She and her Mom, Dad, and friends did a great job. thanks for the video. keep it up !
She is such an amazing interviewee?! All this was one take and she was very knowledgeable and confident in her delivery while still being super personable, great job lindsey!! love the build! full of really smart and custom-to-her ideas!
As a 70-yo full-time caregiver, van life isn’t a possibility at this point in time. But I think about it a lot in the event it would be possible “someday.” Seeing this build, the order, simplicity, and restfulness of what Lindsay has achieved here brought mist to my eyes and somewhat took my breath away at one point. I saved this video in my recently-created Van Conversion Ideas playlist. Thanks much for such a well-done video, and to Lindsay for sharing so well and “hospitably.” I subscribed today!
People are always thanking Vets for their service. Who of course are important. Yet To me nurses are the most important people in our society. They help everyone when they are at their weakest. I could tell what this girl did by her personality 3 sentences into your interview . I thank God for humans like her
Yay nurse!! I feel like that part should be in the title! I'm also a nurse, ER, and have been on the road in NY and FL as a travel RN since April. I recently bought a mostly-built-out 2008 Dodge Sprinter and am currently getting it renovated where I'm on assignment, back in NYC. So inspiring to see this. Love the details, great ideas -- well done Lindsey! I hope the height of the pandemic has been healthy for you.
That's a super clean van build. Whoever helped her knew her stuff. I honestly think it's my favorite out of the thousands I've seen. In 2 wd van conversions
Thanks! My parents and I all work in healthcare. My dad loves doing projects around the house and has pretty much taught himself all the skills we used to do the build and has been growing a tool collection for years. We also used free online resources for guidance. It was an amazing project to work on as a family and we all learned so much along the way!

This is really amazing. My 10yrs old daughter is asking me whether I can help her converting a van for living when she gets to college. I need to show her tomorrow. Thank you!
This build is fantastic. Lots of smart and innovative choices, didn't really skimp on anything (relative to other vans/rv builds) and the out of pocket cost of $10k sounds low, considering all that was done. The only thing I'd change is the sink foot pump, which is an easy fix. Hard to believe this was her first try. Very impressed.
That is really a good conversion. I love that she is a nurse. Hope she is still out there doing her thing. It's truly inspiring. I'd love to experience life on the road and the freedom it brings. I know it's not all rainbows and unicorns. Thank you Jersey for highlighting this woman.
I’ve been watching a lot of conversion videos. This one really impressed me! I like the under bench storage & the closet! Really keeps the space open. Nice job Lindsay!
Three thumbs up!! Lindsey and her dad did an amazing job building out this van. Really inspiring!! I just started to build out my van (2004 Ford Econline) and I'm definitely going to apply some of these concepts. So much thought went into engineering each little section of her van. Some smart people.
What is refreshing to see is that a woman knows all the technical stuff and can guide you solo through the tour. What a joy to see that. Way to go, sister! A fine van build and lots of creative ingenuity in storage, colors, mods. Lovely van. I like the little office area, very nice workspace. I find that in commercially made vans, they still create 1950's style dinettes which I absolutely hate. I converted my dinette (ripped it out!) into a long desk, cabinets, and work space. So much better and can be used for dining, working, or hobbies. This is the way to go. Strawfoot window covers full set for Ford Transit runs $1300 - $1600. Ouch! It costs $100 to buy a vintage Viking sewing machine that goes thru thick fabric (6030 model or 6000 series), and you get some Sunbrella type material, sew it onto Thinsulate and done. It won't cost anywhere near that amount even at retail prices and tools. If you want to use a short cut, use IKEA blackout curtains as raw material, they are always on sale in the AS IS section. Sunbrella does not fade though. Do not sew in any bubble wrap like Reflectix which is not washable and degrades.
I love the detail in her van. You can definitely tell she has looked at a lot of you tube videos. Loving the fact that she did it alone with her parents. My favorite part is the slide out for the bikes.

Kathy Another NJ shore girl (although older than most!) here... north of AC. Completely agree; couldn't function without a wet bath & either composting or cassette toilet. Just my own hangup. Almost bought an older model camper van 2 months ago but decided it didn't fit my personality, had lots of miles on it & would still need more money invested into it. Been researching these & tiny homes for several years. I'm able to swing it now but waiting for just the right fit. Lindsey's design is fantastic & shows so much thoughtful preparation.

Incredible design & build. Simple, minimalist & shows personality & almost industrial design. Love the litter genie for trash! Fabulous idea! Fridge/freezer is perfect size compared to others. Great locking drawers- especially for expensive tech equipment. Love the propane carbon monoxide detector which many others don't seem to have. Safety is key on the road- especially full time living. My one issue is; I need a wet bath. It's important to me to not depend on finding gym or shower facilities. Also I'd want small pump for sink to avoid foot pump. She's thought of everything & as a nurse is used to troubleshooting & coming up with simple solutions. She's definitely done lots of research! Overall this is such a well thought out design & build. Bravo from a fellow nurse at the NJ shore!
Lindsey thank you for sharing in such great detail not only the products that you used, but the ingenuity with which you used them. I recently bought a bus, however the information that you shared will provide a template for many of the projects with my conversion. Very Best and Thanks Again, Paul
I simoly love love your van compared to many others. This looks more like a regular van. you can take others out for a drive, travel etc. I like how you can access all your storage. Your storage is very accessible and has a minimalist diy feel. your cost for conversion seems very doable. You do not have hot water and shower facilities. But with your kitchen faucet and window screen seems ok. I like it that it is all locked and safe. your closet seems amazing. I have lived in Michigan and if you can live there in winter then must be well insulated. Love, love your van. Also you are living in it as a a single woman and I think that will appeal to many single people.
This is amazing! Great job, under all circumstances mentioned 👍👍 living in the desert is probably the most forgiving and easy place to do a van build and test the build outdoors. I can't imagine dealing with snow or humidity while building
This is just my second viewed video of yours, as I recently subscribed. I’m definitely already a big fan because you find those out-of-the-way builds that are not just standard factory construction. The innovations that individuals come up with on their own or by viewing other builds on different sites, make for a more interesting video. And certainly I have to mention that the creativity of these constructs are very informative.
The safety features of this van build are incredible. I have never seen a propane "locker" but what a great idea. The battery box is easy to get to if there is a problem, yet tucked away out of sight. I also like the dedicated work desk and the well-organized closet with a full wardrobe...and even hanging coat storage. The Instant pot storage is great too. I certainly would not want to travel without one. This has to be one of the best thought out builds I've seen in a long time, plus it looks very comfortable and has a "home" feel. I wish this young lady all the best in her adventures. :)
Not true at all, i don't know where you see that separation. Also i don't know if you noticed, but almost all women admits havign their build made by someone else. Nothing wrong with that, of course.
Interesting juxtaposition. I'm a retired Power Engineer who ran Hospital power plants and you're a nurse who has schooled me with your genius build. Many hands make light work. I'd make sure that inverter has good ventilation, especially being close to the batteries, but the shut off switch and CO monitor as well as many other features are well conceived. Definitely one of the best builds I've seen in many respects. Very clean.
Patrick, HELLO,, This is a wonderful home build ,now, it’s NOT FAR FETCHED an idea of NURSES on the move, actually the first ones were ‘TINY HOMES’. Some were trailered by heavy pick ups, & some were professionally transported to the NW, stationary , so she has solar, 12volt & 120volt via inverter, + charged as the engine runs. Just wonderful,,,, Cheers From NJ🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Beautiful van! Nice balance between simplicity, sophistication, style, and practicality. I'm watching this a year after it was posted and hope Lindsey has been well during this pandemic. Thank you for this tour.
This was outstanding. I appreciate how much support she got from the family. I guess as a nurse she can work anywhere she wants to. She thought of everything.

Thank you Janet
Propane storage is excellent!
Thank you, safety first
Wow! Well designed and thought out van. I love it.
Thank you for watching
Thank you for a fantastic tour of your
beautiful van. You are so lucky to have the great family and friends for your support network.
This is amazing! Great job, under all circumstances mentioned 👍👍 living in the desert is probably the most forgiving and easy place to do a van build and test the build outdoors. I can't imagine dealing with snow or humidity while building
Thank you.
I can't even pound a nail, but if I could and had the tools, I'd copy this design in a heartbeat.
You can do it
Geeez! She has it all figured out! 👏👏👏
Yes she does
This is just my second viewed video of yours, as I recently subscribed. I’m definitely already a big fan because you find those out-of-the-way builds that are not just standard factory construction. The innovations that individuals come up with on their own or by viewing other builds on different sites, make for a more interesting video. And certainly I have to mention that the creativity of these constructs are very informative.
Thank you very much David. I hope the rest are just as helpful

Thank you for the tour oh, very well done. I have been in the hospital quite a few times in my lifetime. You nurses are angels on Earth.
Watching van tour videos, I was just recently wondering why no one stored bikes laid flat. Smart girl.
Yes she is a very intelligent person.
Yes, and so easily accessible, my favorite feature! I love riding bikes!
Great van better then any class b manufactured
Patrick great interview
Thank you very much Leslie
Some guys have cool build's,but women for the most part have really Nice build like small apartments.
Thank you very much for watching
Yes, it's like stepping into a comfortable and completely usable living room.
Not true at all, i don't know where you see that separation. Also i don't know if you noticed, but almost all women admits havign their build made by someone else. Nothing wrong with that, of course.
One of my favorites so far
👍👏👏👏😜
Interesting juxtaposition. I'm a retired Power Engineer who ran Hospital power plants and you're a nurse who has schooled me with your genius build. Many hands make light work. I'd make sure that inverter has good ventilation, especially being close to the batteries, but the shut off switch and CO monitor as well as many other features are well conceived. Definitely one of the best builds I've seen in many respects. Very clean.
Thank you for watching. Check out more van videos on the channel
Thank you 🙏🏼
I love the closet slides! Great idea. 👍
Me too

Beautiful van! Nice balance between simplicity, sophistication, style, and practicality. I'm watching this a year after it was posted and hope Lindsey has been well during this pandemic. Thank you for this tour.
This was outstanding. I appreciate how much support she got from the family. I guess as a nurse she can work anywhere she wants to. She thought of everything.
Very well made. Love the design
