i have been watching these and now i hear your voice in my head saying "i dont know why you would do that" when i do something dumb and i think im getting a little better
Lol, I have said this exact thing on the OW forums. I see more players willing to switch and make legit teams in QP than Comp. It's honestly annoying. If you're playing Comp, you've gotta sacrifice "self-wants" for the team sakes.
Just want to give you a big shout Sty. Discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago. I've watched so many Over Analyzed videos, even characters I don't play. I've started following enemy ults, being more positive, focusing on myself and not my team and last night I climbed into diamond for the first time. Thanks and keep being an absolute unit :)
use find a team and 6 stack and this literally never happens. there's no excuse for people below diamond to not use the team finder. honestly, i've lost sympathy for folks who solo queue and moan about comps in the low ranks. the game has provided the solution. use it.
Andy Williams I’m actually in diamond myself and the point was that this happens in every rank. My point literally implies that you can’t blame your team as this happens in every rank. Besides team finder and six stacking has its own flaws which is why nobody actually uses it.
I have had so many games like this and I'm in silver. It drives me crazy because I feel helpless as a main support. Sure eventually the team will start to work together but it's usually too late.
LucioForPresident I'm in gold now. But I have found out, that it really isn't possible to carry as a main support, if you're team is completely useless. It doesn't matter how good you heal, if they don't advance. It's better to carry as a Off tank/DPS. Or an insane Zen
What I hate about matches like this is, the kid says he will go shield tank to help the team which is a great thing, then because it's not a hero he plays alot the game punishes his MMR for it unless he ends with like all golds or something. How is that fair, Blizzard? I've had games like this where I've picked a tank hero I normally never pick just because of stubborn pugs, then we would win, and I gain like 8SR. Yet the people who just instalock Soldier every game seem to do so well, even when they lose. I bounce around high plat to low diamond, myself. And just kind of gave up climbing. It seems like such a weird system to me, I'd almost rather players have individual ranks assigned to specific heroes or roles, rather than just an overall rank. Because despite the game being advertised as something you can swap heroes to solve combative problems, it actually secretly punishes you for doing it.
Yep, that needs to change. I'd suggest multiplying the SR gain for a win by (total hours on account / hours playing the hero you used). That way, if you split your time between Reinhardt, Soldier76 and Ana, you get 3x more SR than a one trick to compensate for having to spend 3x longer reaching the same standard of play. You'd have far less one-tricking and refusal to switch that way. And the other extreme, where everyone rotates 20+ heroes to maximize SR gain, would be a lot more fun.
My solution would be to implement a diminishing returns sr gain system where at the start of a season, you gain say 25 sr per win on any hero. The more I play a certain hero (played=at least 1 ult with hero in game), the less i gain per win. So if I 1 trick tracer, i can still gain sr, but maybe after 100 hours this season I would only be gaining 15 sr or something. On the other hand, if i constantly flex and win, i would be gaining the max sr gains possible. The numbers can be adjusted, the idea is to promote flexing in the season to climb efficiently, but not make it impossible for one tricks to gain sr.
@@donnellebarfield3964 There is a good case for that. It is even possible to tell which players in a group are carrying or being carried just from winrates, as long as some of them play separately. However, I don't think most people play enough games in one season to draw statistically significant conclusions about how good they are. It might be a good idea to have diminishing returns on performance based SR, and move towards win based SR, so players that do play a statistically significant number of games don't get punished for being a team player, and so they rise or fall until their winrate is 50%.
True. If you don't want to play to win, just don't play Comp. It's better for everyone including yourself. There's no god damn human alive that could have been on that team and said they had any fun. That's a miserable experience for everyone.
How? If you pay for the game you can play comp, arcade, or quick play if you want. Losing a comp game isn’t the end of the world it’s just a game. A game people paid money to play, so they can basically do whatever they want.
tea A game that people invest a lot of time and effort in. Fair enough people should be able play heroes that like or are good with. But, playing a team based game and thinking that yourself is the only person that matters is the most selfish thing ever. It reeks of childish entitlement. It’s self-explanatory that you should want to be competitive do whatever you are able to to win the game. If you aren’t at least making the effort to do that, you are basically wasting everyone else on your team’s time. “Losing isn’t the worst thing is the world” isn’t the best mindset to have in a competitive game. After you’ve already lost sure, but you’ve basically already lost in your head if you think that way before the game even starts.
Blast Heart - I see your point, but as I said, people can do (basically) whatever they want since they bought the game. And it’s not like you can report someone for not wanting to switch heroes or playing badly. When someone says “I played for the game”, you can’t really argue against that lol, because they aren’t admitting to throwing. They have a right to play competitive since they bought the game. Also, I said that it isn’t the worst thing in the world if you lose a comp game because if a teammate is refusing to switch or something, it’s just a game. Ya, you wasted your time, but nobody was forcing you to play and there’s always a chance you’ll lose. Plus, you can go back and win more games, instead of getting tilted and wasting even more energy on that person. Just to clarify, I’m not one of those people, but I’m saying it’s hard to argue against annoying players who only care about themselves. The toxicity in the community is why nobody really likes overwatch anymore.
I love how people say “typical plat game” this game placed me at 2300 I was hard stuck for 6 seasons and managed to climb to 3800. You think comps get better/teammates get better going up the ranks? Teammates get worse because everyone in masters and above loses their shit if you’re not this, you have to go this, then you lose ONE fight masters players give up pick Torb/Mei/widow and jump off the cliff because they think they’re the “carry” and they don’t care. It’s such a delusion of how “teammates get better” when you start to climb. Also smurfs in masters... 1000x worse. Smurfs in plat they try to win, if they lose they don’t sweat about it. But masters smurfs are T500 who don’t give a crap who play one hero and that’s that.
My friend climbed 650 SR in one day by inviting top 500s to his party and asking if he could que with them on their smurfs. He got from low silver to low platin
@@donnellebarfield3964 just use LFG it really isn't that bad, your in control the only one who can mess up building teams is you. If you do it good you get rewarded. If this is a typical plat game, where is the smurf, where is the yelling? At least there is a leaver. Plat is weird, but some people in plat do not deserve to be in plat at all and other deserve to be in masters. Overwatch is frustrating, but if you are actually good enough you will climb, initially I didn't believe this but it's true. The problem with comp is there being games which you really can not win, it can really ruin your experience.
This is a perfect example of the majority of matches in Plat on EU, like, this game speaks to the experience I've been dealing with in Overwatch for the past year. Send this vod to your Blizzard contacts for RND in improvements for Comp.
This is kinda sad. I feel like in plat and below there are times when you need to sacrifice the 2-2-2 comp to win. Not in this game but like when you play lucio and u speedamp and the team just doesnt want to press w or when u play ana and people just keep feeding and asking for healing or when u play rein and teammates ignore ur shield and ur the only one behind it. I dont know why but this game reminds me of those games :/
The issue with Overwatch is that it doesn't have a singleplayer mode and the only PvE gamemodes are exclusively available during seasonal events. This means that all content is PvP and outside of Deathmatch and 1v1 you will always have to play alongside teammates. And that's where people start getting tilted because if you're just messing around and having fun, you're throwing and you will lose and your teammates are gonna call you out. If you're genuinely trying to win, chances are someone else is throwing and you will lose and get tilted because of it. The stricktly competitive nature and teamplay requirements are what can make Overwatch a truly magical experience if it all works out but if it doesn't, it's really frustrating.
@@tartarus1283 Yes, but the bots are pretty awful. There's just a difference between an actual PvE entity and a bot AI trying to fill in a player slot.
@@TheTrilorrytop I wouldn't want you on my team, why? because flex players tend to never be good at the heroes they play because they just play everyone aka stop flexing and you'll climb more sorry
LOL! "the guy bought the game, he can do whatever he wants"! That is not an argument in any way! Overwatch is a team game! If you play football with that "argument" how long do you think you are going to be on the team?! ha!
You don't "buy" football though, I think a better comparison would be if you paid to be part of a team, you would want to play your favorite position, but I do agree with you. More importantly there is, normally, some way of indicating if you want to play or if you are better at certain positions. You don't have your Goalie playing Midfielder, or if you're American, you don't have your Quarterback playing Wide Receiver.
Chris Benn yes it is because some people play they game for fun not competitively it’s in quick play it is a shit fest so they play their favorite heroe in a mid tear and have fun
Because as a tank you are forced to play rein if not orisa sometimes since winston is still pretty useless. Still blizzars keeps adding dps heroes. Think playing the same heroes every season is fun? Ita juat ahitty design if you dont like it swap yourself
see but ranked is like houseleague and when i was a kid and my parents paid for me to play house league hockey i played the position i wanted to play how i wanted to play
Two years later, role queue added, and games still end up like this more often than not. DPS Moiras, no main tank, and a mess, whether you are silver or diamond or anything in between~
This guy needs to learn how to effectively play the heroes he picks, before playing them. That Winston was a Bronze Winston. Lucio, was gold at best. For Winston; I get he wanted to help the team out, but honestly play your strengths, because as Monkey you literally did nothing to help the team, other than pick a tank. Bubbles are absolutely horrific, as is the jumping usage. Literally using jump as soon as it comes off cool-down for no reason. Get high ground (spaceship), wait for jump cool-down, fall on someone and try to kill them and then disengage to your support for heals when required, simple plays to start with. I felt like I was watching pinball being played. Winston ult usage was poor, going after Hog both times? You're not going to do anything to him, find a 200hp target and bully it until dead. Don't pop it when you're near full hp also, that's nonsense. Play around your bubble when you're diving someone, stop throwing it down as soon as you jump. That is the worst habit in the world, fairly sure I did the same thing when I started playing Winston, but you learn (hopefully) that you're accomplishing nothing by doing it that way. Did show some flashes as Lucio (that one kill after wall riding on Zen), but overall so passive and does not use speed boost to help team engage after getting picks. Literally no wall riding, always hugging the cart, for what? If they're not contesting it, stay in your back line to protect from flanks or help your dps move around faster. Was 0 self plan during downtime, again looked like pinball. Always potential for learning and improving, but that was really hard to watch being a Plat game.
Mr. Meerkat... I would recommend doing eskay controls if you wanna play a good Lucio... this is a hot topic but I went from silver to diamond in a month with a 70% win rate once I switched and practiced for a bit. Basically switch jump to down scroll and right click, cross fade to space, amp to shift, and then boop is preference... also go watch the eskay guides on wall riding and just go do deathmatch with high level friends for aim :)
Sty is saying he got “overwatched”, like what? This dude did really bad, wouldn’t switch to tank until someone else switched to Rein, then switched to Winston and played terribly, and his Lucio was not any better. He wasn’t screwed out of a good game by filthy dps mains, he was just bad. The dps was carrying in the beginning. He threw the game when he switched to Winston.
I’m a Winston main and those times were PAINFUL to watch I’ve got 250 hours of comp on him and a 60% winrate over all that time. Wanted to pull my hair out watching him being played this bad
Elo Hell. It does exist. Unless ur far above your placed rank you can’t climb. You need to carry to get out. This is because the amount of throwers, stubborn dps one-tricks or people who refuse to communicate.
I dont know if this is personal experiences but im a diamond player, so ive been to plat. But the thing is, i remember perfectly that nearly all my plat matches, both teams played smart, calm, and aggressive at the same time, perfect communication, line ups and everything. Watching games like this really hurts my head because youre just watching the mistakes and you just wanna say "nO dont do THAt DamMit"
"A game that makes you not want to play the game is bad game design" -> Overwatch will NEVER be a good game then unless they change it so success isnt gated by needing 6 people working together. Being able to play very good and still have no way to win because some Dips*** "payed for the game as well" isbad
I am glad someone finally explained what I always say on payloads. I typically say, as a support main, "I'll stay on payload, everyone go forward so it's not 3v6."
The worst part is this is this guy after taking a break. Taking a break every time you get a losing streak the moment you come off your break is super relateable as a tank main.
big shoutout to sty for showing this one & to the dude who sent it in as well. This is the epitome of overwatch & it happens in literally more than half the comp games i play 🤦🏽♂️
Well then don’t play Orisa, you will end up throwing your game because you play a hero that you don’t ever play. Even if you don’t have a main tank, you filling will probably be worse than it playing your main. Stylosa tells people to not be toxic, yet he’s the one complaining about other people playing certain heroes. Sorry if this was no help to you. Just a new perspective :)
@@ooshky Just because they're sick of Orisa doesn't mean they aren't good at her. I'm somewhat sick of Orisa too but more because pretty much only get healers and bastions playing behind my shield. I shouldn't have to take a boatload of damage while getting my ass pumped full of healing just to save a point and get the picks the DPS should have. But when I get those teams that work well and communicate it makes the other matches worth it for me.
@@oOFTJOo And you missed the point. I don't mind taking damage on tank. I hate taking unnecessary damage because entitled DPS players that can't DPS are on my team so I'm doing their job on top of mine.
Sty is assigning the blame on the Hammond, but he is wrong for doing that. 4 players are at fault here. Only the healers shouldn't switch, but any of the DPS or Tanks could change to Main tank.
For sure. I was gonna say that. What is that mcree even doing without a main tank? Zarya lucio and hammond can actually be a good combo but you need more mobile dps
King Thorondor yeah, but the point is that people in low ranks play her like their braindead and are still effective because she takes no skill but has a huge impact
Tbh, dude is lucky to be in plat. One thing to pick a winston against a Hogg/Reaper that can kill, an ana that can dart his solo dive, and a ashe that can knock him back and deny his dive if he does. (hell if your smart you can play pharah into 4 hitscans) But to also pop ult and go in on the Hog..... BRUH like why don't you pop visor on an ulting zen while you're at it.... SO USELESS. Also the fact he sticks on this for so long and panic dives with dropping all his CDs then plays the cart like a discount reind. Like I don't even.... Dude needs to go back to basics and figure out what counters are....
I hate the "he bought the game" argument. The other people in his/their team also did. So why can 1 (or 2 etc.) ruin the fun of others? We need a role q which differentiate between Off-Tank, Main-Tank, Off-Heal and Main-Heal. Honestly instead of having 2 off tanks, I would rather have them play fast dps, instead of beign ult batteries.
Would be a quite nice way to get a sort of solo queue option with role finder. But one main tank, off tank, dps and heals. Could be main heals/offheals aswell. The thing is, this would be on top of group finder, solo queue in general. If you pick up rolequeue it's hard to switch meta because you'll always have main tank, off tank etc. It would be really cool but i think it's pretty tough creating this, because there will always be people complaining....
"McCree didn't get tracer once" Good tracer can easily outplay McCree, good McCree can easily kill tracer. Good McCree vs Good Tracer is 50/50 who is going to win as tracer can outplay the McCree's kit and McCree only needs to land headshot and stun or melee. also if you get headshot you can fan the tracer. The person who said that should drop to silver and learn the game properly. You NEED main tank 8 out of 10 times. Ofc you can in theory play wihtout it, but then McCree is just going to die as everyone focuses him and so on :D
What about this idea? When you go to pick a hero, your team in Competitive must first pick a comp. Like there would be preset comps you could vote on with a main tank, secondary tank, primary healer and so on. There would obviously be different versions of the same comps and this would only be in competitive.
Oh hell...how often was I playing healer, had low health and ran to a healthpack - just so a DPS comes by and steals it right infront of me (A HEALER) .........
I can’t believe this was a Plat game. I’m bronze just got the game in January and this is literally every game for me and I’m just Lucio running around saving all the lives I can and losing SR constantly 🙃
I still get Wrecking Ball / Roadhog comps in my 3800 games.. It's insane. It feels bad, but it also wasn't only the Ball's fault though. I assume you were mainly picking on the Ball since a Zarya at the end of the day would probably be the better option for off tank when you haven't got a main tank, but both of them picked tank at their own free will. Atleast Zarya was willing to switch.
Not sure I agree with your analisys on the first point. Rein on Gibraltar is A) Rectangle-man B) Meat on point. Since Rectangle-man is effectively useless and is easily outplayed with the abudance of high ground, then you just need a survivable hero on the point to contest it's movement. And Hammond is great at contesting the payload (especially if he has an Ana on the high ground). Zarya can farm energy from him and spam right-clicks down below. Enemy have to invest a lot of resources into dealing with the Ball, which gives your team numerical advantage to win high-ground battle. After which they can easily mop up whomeever was focusing on forcing the ball from the payload. And Hammond is a damn quick hero, so he can be back in the fight WAAAAAY faster than Rein or Orisa. With a good Ball player, you can stall that payload nearly forever. Why exactly are you so quick to accuse that poor guy of throwing? None of those morons actually gave a single team fight. They just always gave space, trickled in and died to ults. And all of that started when Lucio tried to CHASE TRACER, leaving his Ana without protection, and she died to Reaper. Which left Ball and Zarya without any healing, so they either died or were forced to retreat, which left their DPS isolated in the enemies backline, which means they lost the first point without a teamfight, and then it just snowballed from there. All those swaps didn't really help with the ult economy either. And you blame the tank?
So couple things here. I would love if all of my games were like this. But that's something you can't have in mid-high silver. Difference: at least some of the team tries to win and play as such. Secondly, I struck that Sty fails to note defense side hammond/hog actually being dps who didn't load game quickly enough to get dps.
"why do we play this game?" Been wondering that myself A LOT lately. Comp is a huge waste of time when all of your friends have already quit because the games getting to be utter shit. Also don't even get me started on proper team comps...lol I wish things would just be good in this game again, including the team comps I see in comp. I climbed so much this morning and then lost a large bit of it trying to continue tonight because no one wanted to coordinate TELL ME HOW THIS IS COMPETITIVE IN A TEAM GAME WHEN PEOPLE DON'T EVEN WANNA PLAY AS A TEAM?!?!?!
@@faro8784 Okay, but you know this is youtube right, and that i just watched their gameplay... So obviously having watched the video i feel i am a better player, its not that hard to understand. I could see all the flaws sty pointed out before he pointed them out, and watching his game play he didn't really do a while lot. from analysing my own gameplay, i make a lot fewer mistakes and contribute more to my team.
I feel like there is more of a problem in the Main Tank role. Especially in ranks of lower Elo where players wouldn't set up with Winston to ease into a fight and then jump pack out. Against a Reaper most Winstons around maybe even lower Plat and below for the most part just get shredded, even more with his recent buffs. Many flex players and even tank players don't enjoy the playstyles of Orisa and Rein either. Which really leaves many teams either dealing with a guy who is forced onto a role that they don't find fun but is almost mandatory or running with two off tanks and hoping it works. Before we get into blaming the players who don't want to play Main Tanks, they need to look into making the Main Tanks more fun for some of those Off Tank players who would be more happy to swap. Sure some people could say that forced roles would be a fix to this, but you'd have to force people to select Main Tank specifically to not have the more wide issue of two off tanks still happening. And that could cause Queue times to be increased even more dramatically. Its pretty much an issue that I don't really think can be fixed with how OW has progressed unless they added in a new, strong, and fun barrier tank.
Unless you group up before you go into a match ow is the literal epitome of rolling a dice since they’ve nerfed high skill heros buffed trash heros & added further trash heros that require no skill it’s much harder to hard carry a bad team it can be done but it’s a bigger ball ache
These videos are really useful but it annoys me that he thinks everyone can think of a plan on the spot and win every gunfight where alot of people myself included cant play like he thinks everyone should play like an owl player, but yet I really like taking in tip on playing the game better
Had a game with teammates being stubborn like this. We had a good comp but our rein didn't want to hold his barrier up and wanted to yolo charge into the team and go swinging for the hills against a flagship comp and left me playing ana and our moira in the back getting torn to shreds while our orisa is trying to keep things together. Our dps didn't want to support the heals and would run around doing whatever while reaper shifted into our backline and tore our booty holes up. Then rein gets mad at me for not nanoing him after I'm dead and there's no ults to combine my nano with. Rant over
Welcome to plat overwatch, where people just dont know or they just dont care. Why I've already lost 400 sr this season and just gave up; doesnt matter how good I am at rein, lucio (300+ hours combined), ana or winston (200+ hours combined), every team fight is just a series of 1v1s on all corners of the map and when you ask for the reasoning its "you're in gold" or "you're in plat" as the rationale.
I just copy paste this just use LFG it really isn't that bad, your in control the only one who can mess up building teams is you. If you do it good you get rewarded. If you get a team in 5 minutes time your not doing it good. I gained 400 sr in a few days 2.4k to 2.9 k playing 3 dps 3 supports. Its not rocket science.
I'm super skeptical about using it because the few times I have it usually ends up being dps players that grossly overextend and die first every team fight. The problem isnt just knowing your role, it's also the elo itself. If there was an option where I could play with people that had similar level of game sense and knowledge I'd use it but unfortunately all those players are in master. All my friends I duo with have made smurf accounts and hit master, gm, and even top 500 on console in their first placements. It's just such a backward system
Its rank independant. I've seen a 4k genji who just holds shift and dies every single push(blaming everybody else). And many other "high ranked" players who just can't play a game. Rank does only shows general probability of player being good and his mechanical skills(like accuracy). Nothing more. Overwatch is only playable if you have a good team and all of them have a good synergy with eachother. Sometiems its possible to obtain such team from LFG by kicking bad players. Most powerfull way to play in my experience is to duo-queue as tanks with your friend. Once you have a good synergy its very hard to beat you.
Why was he on gold healing for half the game?.. He played like 2 minutes of Lucio with an Ana and then switched to tank, yet still managed to keep gold healing at a whopping 1020 against a Moira and Zen.
12:09 THAT! I've been wondering for ages what it is about dps players that annoy me and there it is! Tank players and healers supplement more often than not what is needed (not always effectively but the effort is there) whereas dps players just don't care! They play what they want to play; let the rest of the team revolve around them. That being said, this applies annoyingly often to off tank players as well but it isn't a problem until you have 2 of them in you team: you either have team with no main tank or you have team with a main tank, 2 off tanks, 2 dps and only 1 healer.
After the defensive phase, he had top healing with 1020... WTF was Anna doing? And gold objective time with a massive 2 seconds... Way to contest team. Aside from his crazy Winston play, I felt for him.
If the "last week" he mentioned was the week before this video went live, it could just be that the quality of competitive games took a nose dive around that time. I don't know why, but every game in plat over the last couple of weeks has been like throwing SR away on quick play games.
Blizzard really needs to do something about smurfs and throwers on console. Just today I came across 16 smurfs, and 8 throwers/leavers. Such a terrible issue that desperately needs fixing
Blizzard should throw away the group option and automatically do that themselves. look at what people play and take that into account when matching us on a team. It would be so much better than just looking at SR. If we're all DPS players but we're around the same SR, how the hell does that help us?
I Against I That’s the dumbest mindset you can have in these ranks and why people don’t climb. Blaming it on the teammates sure it could of been their fault for “throwing” but to say that your in that rank because of teammates is stupid.
I Against I Let's ignore the fact that he was playing wiston againts roadhog and reaper, and that he was complete shait. Let's just blame the teammates!
Gold and Plat tend to have lots of one tricks and loads of people who only care about how many elims they get so you get shit like this often. Guy using Hammond because he can engage a lot and get kills but that didn't work this time so switches to Roadhog who is more self sustainable and can get hook kills. He's only focused on getting elims over winning the game. That's the main problem I feel playing at Gold and Plat level. It works to do whatever and one trick below that so dunno if people come up with bad habits. You can win games at Bronze and Silver by yourself.
played a game awhile ago, i played mercy, the only healer in the comp. all other players were dps, one guy got pissed off because he wanted me to go dps. havent played overwatch for afew days
I play support and flex tank every now and then but this is also so common. Trying to climb as a support is sooooo hard (I play on PS4 but I assume pc too) just because you get such bad team comps that no support can really work with and when you do get a relatively good team comp they spread out all over temple of Anubis so you can heal them unless you’re Ana game has 100% accuracy to hit the genji and Winston diving into the enemies spawn 🤦🏻♂️

So agree with ya
Yep, that needs to change. I'd suggest multiplying the SR gain for a win by (total hours on account / hours playing the hero you used). That way, if you split your time between Reinhardt, Soldier76 and Ana, you get 3x more SR than a one trick to compensate for having to spend 3x longer reaching the same standard of play. You'd have far less one-tricking and refusal to switch that way. And the other extreme, where everyone rotates 20+ heroes to maximize SR gain, would be a lot more fun.
It should just win based Sr even get the same amount for a win
This looks more like a silver game 😂
"This is a really bad position to be in, because what it means is - Switch and get an unlimited plan with sprint!" Priceless ad timing lol

Where's your holiday spirit?
P5 Satanael it’s in the refrigerator
Hiiiiiiiiiiii...
"I paid for the game" is a bad defense to playing comp incorrectly.
True. If you don't want to play to win, just don't play Comp. It's better for everyone including yourself. There's no god damn human alive that could have been on that team and said they had any fun. That's a miserable experience for everyone.
Neenjah Rammus I mean I play comp to have fun, it’s just more fun to win

Plat is usually 4 dps and two people trying to win its so bad I only play overwatch if my friends are online so I play 3 games a week max now.
My friend climbed 650 SR in one day by inviting top 500s to his party and asking if he could que with them on their smurfs. He got from low silver to low platin

@@RedZeshinX came here to make this comment 😂😂😂
The stricktly competitive nature and teamplay requirements are what can make Overwatch a truly magical experience if it all works out but if it doesn't, it's really frustrating.
then why buy the Game in the first place? oO
Overwatch does have an all year round PVE game mode, it's under training and called "Practice VS AI" in this mode it's 6 players vs 6 AI's
@@tartarus1283 Yes, but the bots are pretty awful. There's just a difference between an actual PvE entity and a bot AI trying to fill in a player slot.
As a Winston main this is painful. And I'm only in Gold.
Topan Freeblade I actually climbed to plat as winston unlike this guy who is deranking as winston
Flex players are a myth
Guess I am a myth then.
Healer mains flexing to tank generally turns out bad, the positioning knowledge is totally different
Well football and a computer game is apples and oranges
see but ranked is like houseleague and when i was a kid and my parents paid for me to play house league hockey i played the position i wanted to play how i wanted to play
I already knew all this but i still feel enlightened
Thanks for the advice man
Mr.
Oh this was before role queue, i was geniuenly like "wtf you are switching lucio to rein?!"

Its because the player was bad. How would have he known.
And he didnt tell him to play winston
Its a vid
HJ L I don’t understand what you’re trying to say. I know sty didn’t tell him to play Winston. I know it’s a video.
I’m a Winston main and those times were PAINFUL to watch I’ve got 250 hours of comp on him and a 60% winrate over all that time. Wanted to pull my hair out watching him being played this bad
great placement for video overlay of yourself, makes it very easy to see all the important things from the OW ui
Elo Hell. It does exist. Unless ur far above your placed rank you can’t climb. You need to carry to get out. This is because the amount of throwers, stubborn dps one-tricks or people who refuse to communicate.
13:51 stylosa's way to say i'm proud of you
I was so tilted after that game but was nice to see myself even if I wasn't the main person being analysed in this video :)
Massive unlucky.
I have an idea for a video. Just reminding people to take a break, pretty basic but maybe some people don’t know.
*Take a break and get awaaaaaay*
*Ok sorry I’ll leave*
The worst part is this is this guy after taking a break. Taking a break every time you get a losing streak the moment you come off your break is super relateable as a tank main.
How get this person mid plat? I have seen Silver Lucios playing better...

big shoutout to sty for showing this one & to the dude who sent it in as well. This is the epitome of overwatch & it happens in literally more than half the comp games i play 🤦🏽♂️
You're welcome
So sick of playing orisa, cause I always have a selfish DPs dva player in every game.
And they never switch
Well then don’t play Orisa, you will end up throwing your game because you play a hero that you don’t ever play. Even if you don’t have a main tank, you filling will probably be worse than it playing your main. Stylosa tells people to not be toxic, yet he’s the one complaining about other people playing certain heroes. Sorry if this was no help to you. Just a new perspective :)
Play any other main tank other than Orisa
Jordon Bear it when my team needs main tank I play Orisa because she’s really simple to get a hold of and anyone can do good work as Orisa
That Hammond is doing nothing but feeding.
Emelio Brown FACTS
Sty is assigning the blame on the Hammond, but he is wrong for doing that. 4 players are at fault here. Only the healers shouldn't switch, but any of the DPS or Tanks could change to Main tank.
As a person that likes playing most tanks (exce0t rein, orisa) it's frustrating picking Winston and getting a road, Mccree, sym, moira and mercy.
For sure. I was gonna say that. What is that mcree even doing without a main tank? Zarya lucio and hammond can actually be a good combo but you need more mobile dps
WAIT LOL IM THE REAPER THAT WAS AGAINST THEM 😂😂😂😂😂
Why was Brigitte on the thumbnail?

@@faro8784 how? She has an insanely high pick rate in GM as well.
Sty at 1:17 this is a fine team comp
Sty at 2:17 honestly I expect you guys to get absolutely rolled on the first point
Do over analysed for lower ranks cos we need it the most (silver/gold) plz
It's not just the fault of the roadhog. There were 2 people on off tanks after all
"McCree didn't get tracer once" Good tracer can easily outplay McCree, good McCree can easily kill tracer.
Wizardxeze yeah, with Tracer and McCree it really depends on the players.
Solution for everyone who want a good team comp in bronze>platinum: use LFG! I have climbed from silver to platinum with it!
LFG?
Watching this after role queue is a trip
What about this idea?
When you go to pick a hero, your team in Competitive must first pick a comp. Like there would be preset comps you could vote on with a main tank, secondary tank, primary healer and so on. There would obviously be different versions of the same comps and this would only be in competitive.

That’s what I do cause I just play support
The Throwhog on their team gets me so tilted and i'm not even playing right now smh 😒😒😒😒
This makes my low Plat games on Xbox look like mid Diamond+
I just played with that guy in bronze. Im shocked
This is overwatch in a nutshell.
Wait, who said don't blame your team, blame yourself?
I'm a support main but will flex. I play in low gold and someone playing as Hanzo once asked me "Why are you playing soldier when they have a shield?"
The game i just watched gave me like flashbacks of past ow trauma.
Jamsterking very biased lol
I think taking a break when your on losing streak is good to calm yourself down, also you will dodge some players you are currently being queued with.
When he was Lucio he needed to be playing his healing song more. Often he was speed boosting unnecessarily with unhealthy teammates within range.
I was plat n now im 3800 . Console tho but i feel like if ur good or decent at the game u will get to atleast diamond. Anti-_Hackers-_ is my psn :)
How did they even make it to plat with that mentality
I just copy paste this

I blame that Lucio skin.
The soldier isn't toxic IMO, he's legit playing really well. It annoyed me when the team forced him to go tank.
"I'm a shit main tank", at 11:14 - switches to a main tank from off-tank lol.
Blizzard should throw away the group option and automatically do that themselves. look at what people play and take that into account when matching us on a team. It would be so much better than just looking at SR. If we're all DPS players but we're around the same SR, how the hell does that help us?
He dropped from 2750SR because he didn’t even belong there. Looks like classic low gold match
So he's at fault for his teammates actions?
I Against I That’s the dumbest mindset you can have in these ranks and why people don’t climb. Blaming it on the teammates sure it could of been their fault for “throwing” but to say that your in that rank because of teammates is stupid.
I Against I Let's ignore the fact that he was playing wiston againts roadhog and reaper, and that he was complete shait. Let's just blame the teammates!
Too be fair to the roadhog I can play zarya and Winston but I mostly play heals so he might have just been flexing
A good tip is to have good situational awareness
