    What a brilliant car, I’ve had many cars in my life, I’m in my 50’s and recently I bought a new panda cross and I must say it’s my favourite car so far. An absolute joy to drive and always puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel. Like you said your dad is 6ft, I’m 6ft and still have loads of room in the panda. I can see why the panda has such a big following amongst young and old.

  • @RichieRouge206
    @RichieRouge206 3 года назад +10

    This is a great video Dan! The thing with the Panda is that it is does EXACTLY what it says on the tin. There is no pretentious electronics, no excess, it doesn’t spend it’s time trying to outflash everyone on the roads. And it looks brilliant in a simple, uncluttered yet ‘I’m here to play’ sort of way. It has the ingredients for fun - peppy 16v NA engine, simple yet effective suspension, fat grippy wheels and styling that doesn’t shout. It is the opposite to new cars today which are pretentious, badly made, far too overweight, very expensive and eye wateringly boring to us petrol heads. The funny thing is - because of it’s simplicity and reliability (isn’t it funny how people are quick to slag off anything Italian, French or non-German) it will far outlast any new car. Once their electronics start playing up - which they 100% will - then it’s game over. Really enjoyed this.

    Nice video! '07 1.3 Multijet Panda owner which we own since beginning of 2009. Not one of my favorite cars, but I am very found of it for being practical for it's size and very reliable. Not to mention also that it is a bargain considering it's age. It lasted so good during the time and the body shell says it. Not to much corrosion issues and honestly it has not been taken care of it that much either. I am also a fan of the square design and not only for the practical reasons but as being a 1970's-1980's car enthusiast. Take care and greetings from Romania!

    Hi Daniel, yes nice 100 hp , nice colour aswell
    Yeah paint the callipers red also consider the rally style mudflaps they will give it a more aggressive look for sure, my wife has the eco active 1.1 panda in that nice deep purple color, it recently flew through its mot 🙂👍
    I tried to twist her arm to go for the 100 hp but she prefers the economy, basic trim level so less to go wrong , and more comfort with the less stiff suspension only £30 Road tax!, I had a punto sporting the very same grigio colour as yours and same gem of an engine albeit with a slightly less 95bhp also with the same, slick 6 speed box which is perfectly mated to the engine, I now have a abarth 595 competizione which has a 5 speed gearbox and doesn't mate and is not as slick, it needed the 6 speed aswell which it never got 😳 if I didn't get the abarth I would of got a 100 hp without a doubt! Oh by the way get your cambelt and water pump changed if you haven't already or have no history of it being replaced, I think it 5 year's or 72,000 miles on that engine ,around £300 ,don't overlook this
    As you need to rev the engine to extract it's power and it has a 7000 rpm redline!

      Hi Marino, glad you enjoyed the video! I am very happy with the 100hp; putting the harsh ride aside, it’s a lot of fun. The 1.1 Panda is equally hilarious and the base-spec trim looks quite cool (in my mind!)

    Hi Daniel, do you know if you can get it with 5 seat certification or is it only coming out with a 4 seat from factory? Thanks a lot

    I love my Panda 1.1. OK, it lacks the performance and the grunt of the 100HP, but it still pulls away very well. I would rather have it above any super car. You couldn't ever use all of it! With the Panda, it thanks you if you rev it. As an older driver it reminds me of the fun I used to have in my Mini Mayfair from the '80s.

    Hi Daniel, How does your car have that growl sound? what makes the car sound nice when its driving. im new to this but i'm interested in it

    • @DanielDrives
      @DanielDrives  Год назад

      Hey, it has a Powerflow custom exhaust system which is the reason for the growl :)

      @@dnblegend280 no worries! 🙂 It depends really, I’d say around the £300-£600 region but I’m not 100% sure 🤔

    When i first saw a panda, I thought it didn't look good but this vision looks ace, because of its loud exhaust and the abarth engine. Is it from an abarth engine?

    • @DanielDrives
      @DanielDrives  3 года назад

      Gald you're a fan! It's a very similar engine to the one in the Abarth.

    I like the mk2 Punto (prefacelift) more, it has a somewhat of an old fashioned dashboard and interior compared to the Panda, the gearshifter seams high in the Panda. Then again the Punto is an older car. Where I live there aren't a lot of Pandas but there are loads of Puntos and Unos. The Panda is way quirkier.

    Had one for 3 years, total pain in the arse on longer drives so I had to get rid. Fucking brilliant little thing though, the only car I've owned that made me laugh until I cried driving it. It's truly awful, but good fun. Awful steering, terrible throttle response, great gearbox, hilarious ride.
