A split ring is exactly like a miniature key ring (like what you have on key chains) and all you need to do is separate the loops of the split ring with some pliers so it opens and "spin" it onto whatever you're using it on like a charm. "AuntiesBeads" here on RUclips has a video called "How to Use Split Rings & Jump Rings" that will show you how to do this at 3:03 minutes (: It's really easy and I suggest you watch it!

I would say for starters white,tan,black and brown those are really good colours to just get started off but when you finish using those I recommend buying a lot of colours

I as well live in the Philippines, and getting an obsession to polymer clay, but when searched at OLX, found this out. There's also Yssa's Clay Charms, Purplenook Clayshop, and E Kawaii Shop (forgot! ). Plus, Adscharms Clayfactory has an album on lowest prices of her products! (Album is called "Destash and Sale") Hope this helps!
Yeah try looking harder! I was really surprised to find them at Hobby Lobby because they were in a weird place, with all the leathers and fake animal furs and stuff o.o
I am so jealous that you can buy so much stuff in a regular craft store... I mean most stuff is either not available or super expensive in tiny packs in crafts stores here, which is why I have to order pretty much anything on ebay :( Like ceramic plates, cellphone straps(at least I've never seen any), bottle caps... I am already very surprised to see we have resing and quite a big selection of polymer clay(just one brand though) in here...
