  • Croatia has become one of the top destinations around the world, and with its many islands, calm azure seas, picturesque towns, and rich history, it is easy to see why. Unlike so many other Mediterranean countries, Croatia manages to retain an air of being untouched by commercialization and is a wonderful destination to explore.
Croatia is one of the top holiday destinations in the world. The inland capital Zagreb, the castles of Varazdin, the Herzer palace and the Trakoscan palace are some of the most visited places. The other places to visit in Croatia are Dubrovnik, Fort Lovrijenac, Trsteno for garden and palaces. Hvar is known for its beach resorts, cathedrals and the historic Klis Fortress. Don't miss the Roman palace of Diocletian, Trogir Kamerlengo Castle, Brac, Korcula, and the Island of Losinj.
The Heritage sites of the world are celebrated for having great cultural or historical significance, and it doesn’t hurt that they are also often majestic and awe-inspiring.
Every country has its own monuments and cultural heritage, which you can explore in our series "World of Heritage". This series also features all the celebrated heritage sites on our planet as decided by the UNESCO.
