PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS. Just a thought on the JBL Flip 6 vs the Bose SoundLink Flex. They are the same size and according to the internet the bose has a larger transducer than the JBL but the JBL has a tweeter and an adjustable equalizer within the app where as at this time on the bose connect app there is not an equalizer to adjust the sound. But I have another bose speaker and it uses a different music app and it runs on the bose msuic app and in the bose music app it has an equalizer so you can adjust the bass and the treble to your liking. And in the JBL portable app you can do the same thing except you can also adjust the mid-range. Bose could add an EQ to there app in the future/near future. Bc I read on the internet that when the JBL flip 6 was released it did not have an adjustable eq within its app for its speakers. But now it has an eq in the app. I think with the equalizer off on the JBL the bose sounds better but with the eq on I think the JBL sounds better. So if bose added an equalizer that could change things. I know the speaker has position IQ technology where it’s supposed to adjust the sound depending on which way you lay it but it would be nice to be able to turn that off if you wanted to. A similar portable speaker called the sonos roam has a similar feature but in the sonos s2 app you can turn that feature off. In the bose app you cannot do that or on the speaker itself either. And also Sonos has an adjustable EQ within the app like the JBL. The bose is behind the times with that but I bet they’ll change for the better. I would turn position IQ off and have an equalizer set to my liking if I could. I prefer my bose soundlink flex to sit upright so it’s pointing at me but they say it will produce more bass if you lay it flat, in my testing this is true. A little more bass for sure. Which I like. But I shouldn’t have to lay it flat to get maximum bass output. And the speaker needs better rubber feet on it because sometimes it will move it self. Or vibrate itself off the table. So I would recommend not placing it near the edge of a table if you don’t have to. Thank you for whoever actually takes the time to read this.
I have both they definitely excel at their own but I prefer the flip for it’s clarity even though the bose have more bass which in my opinion is little muddy compare to the flip. Which has less bass but more refined and balance…
I think because the bass shoots out the sides on the JBL it makes the bass sound more open. Where as on the bose soundlink flex the bass fires out the front and the back of the speaker. Which in my opinion could make it sound less open I guess you could say.
Agreed. No tweeter on the Bose as you said. Sadly. I mean the original bose soundLink mini is smaller than the bose SoundLink flex and doesn’t sound as good but I think it’s more compactly designed and it has 2 transducers instead of 1 like the bose soundlink flex. I think the newer bose soundlink flex sounds better than the soundLink mini in every way but I still think bose could of stepped it up more as far as the sound quality. Since the SoundLink flex is like 8 years newer than the soundLink mini. But that’s just my personal opinion. The SoundLink flex still sounds great but I’d definitely say play an instrument heavy song such as every little thing she does is magic by the police. It had a little bit more rumble on the SoundLink flex but sounded more boxy than the JBL flip 6. Plus the major most advantage the JBL has over the SoundLink flex is it’s in-app eq.
@@chiefsguy7236 If you had asked me that 3 years ago I would of said Bose is better. It’s all in your personal opinion. You should hear both before you decide. They say all sound is subjective.
in real life the boss sounds better than the flip6 and thats a fact, sold my flip 6 and settled on charge 5 instead, flip6 is just a dud for me (btw i have soundlink flex and charge 5 right now)
I actually think jbl is more clear and bass is balanced and doesn't sound mushy. But bose somehow has got more bass with that transducer. But that tweeter in jbl makes a difference. If you think jbl is sounding harsh on treble, you can definitely equalize with jbl Portable app. Jbl is much more( alot more) cheaper in my country. And jbl is one of the neck and neck competitor of bose. So jbl is winner for me.
Hi, I just got myself a JBL flip 6 speaker and it sounds ok for me, but then I saw many comments of people who like bose speker more. I will mainly use it in the hotel rooms as I travel a lot. I would like also to connect it to the laptop to watch some movies. Isn't Bose's bluetooth technology to old for that? Will it have some delay with the sound? I can still return mine and buy a Bose flex but I just wonder if this is worth it. The bass sound is also important for me, I like when it is really juicy and low.
Good job setting them both to same volume level. However playing the same loop for both is way more helpful than switching between speakers through a one go.
I used JBL hate it so much special customers support. Returned it after 1 day use. BOSE has deeper base frequency response than JBL if youre listening to base low as 50 HZ JBL cant make it out like BOSE.
Guys, it’s very depends on which type of speakers do you use with this video. I used headphones two times more expensive that these speakers and Bose for me sounds just terrible, sorry. It is similar for example like I have cotton wool in my ears. Absolutely closed or boxed sound. Sure, JBL has tweeter and it I feel it very well. It’s like an air in the sound. Greetings from 🇺🇦
@@jessemartinez9199 PLEASE READ: Both do in my opinion. Both sound excellent but for clarity and track separation I’d have to say the JBL wins in my opinion. Flex’s position IQ ups the treble when on its back and sounds much better than upright. When I sampled the Flip 6 at Target and Best Buy vs the Flex I found the Flex more balanced. And I do prefer that deep low bass of the Flex vs the mid punchy bass of the JBL. The Flip 6 did sound better than the Emberton 2 and Wonderboom 3.

The JBL Flip 6 sound is good if you already like the sound of this speaker. There's no need to buy a new one.

Bose sounds better in real. It's more pleasant to listen.
Amazing that JBL can beat Bose
😂😂😂 Good joke
I would say that’s not a joke. But they say all sound is subjective to your ears
bose sound waayyy better clown
Yeah thats true. Even small at 30watts. Small vs big can beat strong bass
I’ll tell you this… I own both and the JBL is actually uncomfortable to listen to for me while I actually enjoy the Bose

Yeah, cotton wool in my ears makes things softer, for sure.
the only bad thing is that you never show us how the speakers sound at 100% of their volume
maybe because at 100% there are too many distortions
