If Ayushman was an insider bollywood biggies like Karan and some critics would have placed him above Ranbir or Ranveer... just becoz he is an outsider bollywood doesn't heap praises on him. He has given more hits than anyone in this generation of male actors.
Who said he doesn't get praises? You mean he doesn't get the awards? If yes, then who cares for the awards nowadays. He's getting those scripts because he's an excellent actor, otherwise nobody would've approached him. And the real critics are the audiences, not some paid critics. Don't mark him as an "UNDERRATED". Don't defend brahmastra. It's success was nothing compared to average hit Bollywood movies. The amount of marketing they Did for this movie was over the top. RRR or dangal like movie didn’t even come closer to that amount. And stop saying that It's script, storyline was set 10 years ago and that's why this disaster happened. If they wanted to change any of the dialogue or story they could do this during shooting too. They could have follow flexible strategies.

I also feel that Ayushman is so underrated, even tho his choices among movies are legit but still he cannot able to gain the popularity he deserves. If you watch almost every movie of Ayushman, you'll notice that he always breaks the stereotypical thinking of society whether it's Bala, Shubh mangal savdhan, Dream girl, Badhai ho, Chandigarh kare aashiqui and many more. He always chooses a different concept of movies which I personally love. So I guess we should give him a great credit for his movies!! ❤

What about movies like RRR KGF2 Pushpa kashmir files and the recently released Sita Ramam?
All the above movies have performed well in the cinemas even after being released post covid. They have not only earned hundreds of crores but also generated profit unlike Brahmastra.
These post covid model is nothing but PR. karan Johar just doesn't want to accept the fact that this film has flopped.

I'm not talking about collections it doesn't matter what the collections are if there is no profit 300 cr is of no use. The budget of the movie was 600cr and the collection is only 300cr compare that. The films I spoke about didn't earn 300cr but they earned more than the budget resulting to profit.
Plus idk why we don't consider South films they are too Indian movies crossing 300cr.

@@anjummaurya3321 Brahmastra was average (3.5/5 kinda movie)so the blame can't be put on the boycott trend. It has earned a good amount if we take into account how okayish it was after all the hype.
With many movies lined up for release this and next week, Brahmastra will struggle for collections, It may do a break even business in its lifetime.
Ayan spending 12 years on this so called epic bollywood is a pure comedy. How can someone come up with a mediocre script after spending 12 years. I think he was only imagining this crap in his head with no clue or direction. I seriously doubt that no sequel will be ever made.

Yes brahmastra's VFX were five stars but except that it was not so classy... And here budget is all about first part then talk only about that (not for the upcoming 2 part) ... And yes in my opinion it is hyped.. And according to my estimation it is an average movie according to world wide collection.

I don't think there could be any justification of Bharamastra underwhelming performance other than bad storyline and dialogues. You cannot watch a full movie with so crigeworthy writing even if the VFX are amazing. I am fed up of justifications like the movie was written 8 years back, Ayaan invested 8 years in the movie. The final product was plain bad. Simple. And I feel the curiosity for 2nd part is mostly paid PR, as many people I know actually are not looking forward for the next part. And obviously they have to recover the investment so sequel is essential.

Idk if y'all know this but y'all boycotting a movie or a movie floping will usually have no impact on the cast/actors! They've already received their pay cheque before the release of the movie and the only ppl who get affected by a flop are the ppl behind the camera! The light crew, camera crew, and all the staff and the ppl who invest in the movie so lol the cast was not affected in any way

3:09 it's not because of COVID it is because of the degrading quality of cinema. Personally I want to go to watch movie n theatre but i don't go to movie at all now. Even if a movie is broadcasted on television i Don't watch it.
I wanted to watch cutputli of akshay kumar n theatre but unfortunately it has been released on OTT and nobody is talking about what a good movie it is(though love angle was unnecessary in that movie).
Brahmastra had a good PR team everyone was talking about the movie but i found nothing catchy in the trailer (except for VFX) so i deliberately didn't go to the theatre. I would rather buy OTT membership than to watch stupid movie.
Cutputli is a remake of a South movie which is much better than it. It doesn't deserve anything tbh, just a result of pure laziness

You were talking about post pandemic releases not getting a lot of box office but there's kgf 2 with 100Cr investment and 1250Cr box office and the recent release Kantara has just 16Cr investment and it's already crossed 200Cr. Infact Kantara was released in others languages on demand and it had already crossed 100Cr in kannada itself before it's release in other languages. i beg to differ this time movies like rrr , kashmir files and even recent kartikya had earned more than thier budget and rrr earned more than 1000 cr so there is no no excuse for brahmastra only thing ican say is brahmastra is still in theatres so we cant decide its hit or flop but if it fails to recover 600cr so it should be in the flop cteogrie.
