Hello Ratchet and Clank fans, I know that a lot of you out there will remember this game as being
one of the best in the series(Or the best). This is where the RAC franchise gets most of its
reoccurring staples regarding combat and how the following games are typically played.
Ratchet receives special commando training in this game, and is assigned a mission by his new boss befitting
of a newly formed commando. As you may see throughout this playthrough, Ratchet's tactics have improved drastically
as well as his weaponry, gadgets, defensive and offensive options alike. This game focuses more on the progress
of Ratchet as a character, since in RAC1 Ratchet's character may have been a bit one dimensional in comparison
to characters like Clank or Qwark. Ratchet now has the ability to maneuver side to side without needing
assistance from Clank's thruster pack (A feature previously seen in RAC1) Fixing this, they gave ratchet a means
to be able to battle multiple enemies at once, sometimes on extremely large scale battles comparable to warzones
or interplanetary combat on extreme ranges.
Ratchet get's special perks like modded weapons, his own customizeable ship.. upgradeable armor, some well deserved
recognition and a chance at another challenge and some free exploration to traverse some new planets, because
lets be honest, Ratchet loves to explore! Clank is merely along for the ride this time, but he returns with even
more humor than last time, and Clank brings some new flavor to this game as well, however he provides more of a calm
in the background addition to this game, as it is more so about ratchet evolving as a character from this commando
experience.
Nevertheless, both Ratchet and Clank both find work at Megacorp, and they are forced into yet another adventure
involving the wellbeing of yet another galaxy. This RAC is historical, since it completely changed the entire
concept of RAC and set it forward in a new direction, a direction we still see today. It has created a legacy of
games involving very similar gameplay, lovers of "A Crack In Time" may not understand the importance of this game,
but this game in particular set new milestones for the developers, and is a great addition to the already radiant
collection of platformers available on the market.
Sorry about not doing the extra stuff, but that would involve a lot of farming, and mostly involves playing the game all over again (Challenge Mode). It's a bit farmy and there's not much to be missed aside from some weapons. -

To everyone complaining about him getting lots of bolts. You are silly. it saves you time from grinding bolts later on in the game. make the gladiator ring alot easier too. And if you don't like it just skip it

It really helps you at the start of the game, when upgraded, becomes even more useful, but at the last levels, it's just kind of useless

Alexander Whapples Thank you, it's actually a bit of a manipulation of the game, you see, while strafing with one button, you just have to hold forward and then do a flip with the other button, or at least thats how I remember it.
Like the rest of you, I played this game many years back and just had to archive it. Enjoy the playthrough people.
Also, you might be able to see that I really enjoy the arena combat. I like to do flips because back in RAC1, you didnt really have the ability to strafe (Clanks strafe was unreliable) and the only way to dodge was to flip (plus it looks cool) so its a really bad habit of mine to flip around a lot.
I'm now 18 and I still play this at my grandmas house every Friday. It was my favourite game with my nephew we played for hours 10 years ago up until around 2013. I recently discovered it's charm again and I love the soundtrack, unique planets and story and crazy FUCKING WEAPONS MATE!! I have 10,00,0000 bolts in the game now!! *Nostalgia* 😎

I miss my ps3. My brother corrupted the storage so my mom threw it away. I had the ratchet and clank HD collection, ratchet and clank tools of destruction, crack in time and all for one. I had so many memories.

I remember playing this game when I was about seven, it was such a great game. I've played some of Tools of Destruction, and I don't mind it, but nothing beats the original 3 games.

RC 1 I like for the story, RC GC I like for Gameplay and story, RC UYA multiplayer.
I love Going Commando best single player game out there, I'd love to see what would happen if they remake this like what there doing with the first game.
Soundtrack was great in this game.

At 3.29-3.34 in the backgorund to the left of the screen you can see mister Fizwidget as a robot with your ship this is on the planet where ratchet gets arrested and sent to megacorp prison.

If u would have kept walking straight and off that edge at 1:48:45 u would have fell off and landed on a small ledge with a Platinum Bolt. I found that out when I fell off and landed on it.

Paffen Päft I simply bought ratchet and clank/ratchet and clank going commando/ratchet and clank up your arsenal for the ps3, plan on buying the rest too since they're literally the same exact games and same graphics. The ratchet and clank/ratchet and clank going commando/ratchet and clank up your arsenal and the rest of the ratchet and clanks made for ps2 originally, only change completely when they redid them for the ps4.
Paffen Päft like ps4 literally changed everything, not just the graphics. The graphics are awesome and I would of loved it if they kept the original soundtracks and story line but they didn't, so the ONLY thing I like about the ps4 versions is the graphics but the fact they changed the entire storyline and what not ruined how good the graphics are.
So I literally refuse to buy the "old games" nor any of new ones they makes for ps4 because they destroyed them. But I will absolutely play the ps3 versions because they're identical to the ps2 originals, because they literally didn't change anything at all.

Just beat The snivelak boss and took me only 2 attempts using the turrets and people said this was the hardest boss in the game. I heard tale of folk saying this was harder than drek please this boss doesn't compare to drek 🤣😁😂
