I bought one in June. Excellent bike. The stock windshield and "whale d*ck" heavy breather were obviously chosen by some focus group with sales in mind. I replaced both because they were stupid. I also went with forward controls as the mid controls were cramped. Stock seat is surprisingly comfortable but I had to change it for my passenger. I thought I'd hate the instrument panel but it's fine, really. Overall this is a great bike and my 8th HD since 1989
I’m going to test out one today in black. I think it maybe my first HD. I’ve had other bikes but not a HD. I am a little nervous of the weight, I gotta say. I want to try it on the road and have been prettier excited learning about it on your show. I just want to go for a ride 3-4 times a week and on the weekends. I live in the foothills of Mt. Rainier and there is a lot of awesome mountain roads in WA to go riding on. Thanks for the good review. Greasy side down
@@IronBornRider they may still be vin locked you’d have to look into it but I know another RUclipsr got one and put it on his and there was some fab work that had to be done
I absolutely love it, it's gorgeous. However, I test rode it and... I have to say that aesthetically, the inside of the fairing when you're riding isn't very pleasing. It looks insanely cool from outside, but behind the wheel, it's a chunk of plastic. That's why my love still goes for the Lowrider S with a clubstyle windscreen.
The best part is they still have the Lowrider S available with the same 117 engine and weighs less. Ironborn made a good point that HD has definitely been paying attention to how other riders have modified older models and therefore created a bike off of that as inspiration. Still feels like they have some ways to go to perfect the ST.
This is definitely going to be my next ride! I must say the bike still does look a bit sparse once you’re in the drivers seat. Can’t wait for 2024 models. Hopefully they add some bells and whistles. Who knows maybe a standard RF sound system haha. One can only dream.
This is my next bike! My only dilemma is do I buy it in October? Or wait and see what comes out in January? I'm hoping in the new year that they will change the speedo. Maybe put the speedo that the sportster S has. Something similar to the Indian chief.
I've owned a 03 Electra and it was a nice bike right out of the box. I'd love to hear a review of a new Harley where the review didn't feel that it needed a bucket of money to be a great bike. Maybe Harley doesn't do enough listening? Or is the aftermarket so big that they just make bikes to promote a need to modify?
The fairing made me feel like I wasn’t riding a Harley. Not a fan behind the wheel. Also, the buffering was HORRIBLE for me starting at 60-70 mph. The sales manager was offended when I got back and said I really didn’t like it. I bought a 21 LRS already modded and am in love!!
I'm torn between this and the Heritage. I prefer the one with better comfort in terms of absorbent suspension and the one with better brakes. I haven't driven either but suspect that might be the Low Rider ST. That said I think the new Icon Hydroglide is the prettiest looking HD out there now since they don't make the Deluxe (or the Slim) anymore.
@@PaulsMotoZen to me they took the sportglide and made it better - low rider st. I think that’s why they discontinued the model. Just my two cents at least
@@IronBornRider I guess they did make it better, but I do not think that a fairing is worth an extra $10K for the bike. I am sure there are other upgrades to the bike that make it worth the extra money that I do not see. Then again, I ride a Honda Shadow, and should not be comparing HD motorcycles to each other... hehe
It's an ok bike I guess. I test rode one with mid controls and it just didn't feel right. I rode my buddy's with forwards and I didn't like that either. I'm not a wind screen /fairing person. I dont want anything above my handle bars. Not even mirrors. The wind isn't even an issue with me until you get above 70mph! I don't like those style of heavy breathers. I'm just banging my knee into it. I agree the stock seat is decent. There is plenty of power but my 114 stage II is still faster than my buddies 117 but my bike isn't stock. I went with the Fat Bob. It just fit me better and I love how it feels.

Hope you enjoy it! Just take it nice and slow and you’ll get adjusted to the weight real quick.
They are truly beautiful bikes. Still looking to get one someday
I’ve been thinking about adding that st fairing to my low rider s because I like it so much

I agree with you it looks really sparse from the inside. Some compartments would’ve been nice

I’d wait a little longer if I could. They may add some new features, but I don’t know if the speedo/nav will be it

I wish they would have left the gauges on the tank though.
One of the reasons why I’m keeping my 2020

Yeah it’s not for everyone but glad you still got the lrs
In the UK we seem to like it without the fairing, most people remove them - great review
Thanks! That’s really interesting, but it makes sense. In the US we have long highways and wind protection is a must
Agreed

That hydro glide is a head turner for sure
I love mine ...just a beauty and a beast at the same time !
great content as usual🙏🏼
Thanks brother
For some reason, the Low Rider ST reminds me of a Sport Glide with a different fairing.
I think that’s where they drew the inspiration
@@IronBornRider Why would HD get inspired from a motorcycle they discontinued?
So many questions that are left unanswered.
Take care, ride safe.

They seem pretty sick ngl
Agreed!
Would love to see it race against a sport glide
Had to choose between this low rider st or the fatboy. I chose the fatboy. Low rider st felt like a toy
Fatboy is one of my favorite softails
I love mine!
Ergos on this bike aren't good. Don't buy this bike thinking it's a long distance tourer 😂 but its cool for 1 day rides.
Definitely needs a bit of work for longer rides
If performance is your thing then this is a great bike. Does'nt do it for me, especially the ugly cockpit. Each to their own I guess.
I went to purchase the ST, but ended up with a Polaris Challenger. 😮
The challenger is one of my favorite bikes. Rides like a dream
