Short answer is no. I’m 6’2” and have been riding an ST for 2 years with zero issue. I have 10” risers and am still rocking the mid controls. 🤘
A want a Low Rider S, I’m 6’2”, and the intake on the right side is knocking on my shin. I need a stage 2 before I can go with forward controls.
Absolutely 100%
I have an FXLRS which is the same thing. I'm 6'1'' and the bike fits me perfectly. 8.5 risers with a pullback and an ODI bar which makes about 12'' of total rise. Mid controls and an SDC pro seat. The bike is incredibly comfortable.
Im 6ft and have a lowrider s with an st fairing and 14in bar and riser combo, and a saddleman tuck and roll step up. All that together is perfectly comfortable for me to be aggressive and crush miles. The stock set up was ok but not super comfortable. But once i added bars and risers and a seat it completely changed the ride and feel.
World of a difference with minor changes 💪🏽
The bike can be made awesome.....I'm 6ft 2021 lowrider s with fxrp faring, 10.5 risers, mid bend bars, mini floorboards, sdc seat.....now I smash 700-750 mile days no problem and I'm over 50 and have spinal surgery......I'm actually finding it more comfortable then my roadglide
I’m only 5’5 5’6 I definitely struggled with the 13 inch suspension that comes on the ST. I was able to touch the ground and ride perfectly fine, but trying to maneuver the bike and back it up was extremely hard. I really wanted to get some nice aftermarket, Orleans or legends suspension, but I couldn’t deal with the height. I ended up getting thundermax I ride system, the bike automatically lowers, and it raises as they slow down or speed up. I never was a fan of air ride suspension, but with that system, having one side being a regular coil over and the other side being your air ride it’s really enjoyable and made riding the bike a lot easier for a shorter rider
At 5' 3" I think my dreams have just been dashed 😐
5'7'' here LRST Fast Johnnie, put a Kraus T Rex 2'' pullback plate with the original riser, Saddleman step up, for me the confort is absolutely perfect now. As windshield I mounted a super low profile windshield from PUIG, no wind noise zero buffeting, just clean air stream like on a naked bike. And the bike looks badass
I had one, couldn't get comfortable on it for longer rides. Traded it in for a 24 Road Glide which fits me like a glove. LRST is a great bike though, lot of fun to ride.
I am 6"3. Love that bike, but also not comfi over one hour riding. Optik and performance my Nr 1 bike in the line up. So, i stay with my RK. Great content btw.
FYI....best looking color bike I have ever seen in the Harley lineup. Congrats brotherman.
That seat looks great w/ that paint
Thanks man
I'm a bit under 5'6" and have forward controls on my Tobacco Fade Low Rider ST. Yes, you read that right. I have the HD Reach seat and felt cramped with the original mid controls. Most likely because the Reach seat pushes me forward and because I was used to the standard forwards on my previous bike, a 2018 Sport Glide, also with the Reach seat. Now I need some pullbacks and a different air cleaner so my knees don't hit the stock one.
I'm 6'1" andI have a St. My legs were cramped up and I got the SDC seat and got the crossthread mini floor boards. I thought putting them in the further forward position would give me more leg room. I was wrong. I put them in the further back position and I have way more leg room. This set up is perfect for me and made the bike so much more enjoyable to ride
Nice 👊🏽
Nice video keep up the good work MarvelKid87
GREAT VIDEO AMAZING PAINT ON THIS BIKE LOVE IT WANTED TO ASK U SOMETHING ABOUT STREET GLIDE AND ROAD GLIDE ...I WAS ABOUT TO BUY A STREET GLIDE TODAY AND I ALWAYS THOUGHT STREET GLIDE WERE MORE FOR SHORT RIDERS BUT TODAY AT THE DEALER A SIT IN A ROAD GLIDE AND I WAS ALMOST FLAT FOOTED AND FELT BETTER ON THE ROAD GLIDE JUST WONDERING YOUR TAKE ON IT THANKS
I’m definitely interested in grabbing a Lepera seat. I have the saddleman SDC right now, and I love it. My only complaint when I first put it on it made the writing position feel totally different. I almost felt like I was sitting up on top of the bike versus the stock single seat that comes on the ST that I felt more like I was sitting like in the bike but I quickly got used to it. But after seeing the Lepera sheets you’ve had on your bikes, I have really been contemplating grabbing one especially with that suede looking fabric.
Thank you MK87. Being at 5' 3" I think you answered my question 😕
Great for all riders, if you want to stretch out get some forward controls. I'm about 5'10" and I've kept the mids, but added the bung king crash bar so I can rest my feet up there to stretch. I will say I hate the stock windshield on this bike, pretty sure even the shorter riders will still feel buffeting. I changed mine out for a medium Clearview windshield at that's been perfect for me.
I think it comes down to personal preference. Currently I ride a 22 Low Rider S and I feel comfortable riding it. I rode the new 2024 Road Glide during demo week. I definitely looked small on that bike. I’m 5’8 and about 165 lol. Truthfully I didn’t feel uncomfortable on the Road Gide either. Ride the bike that makes you happy.
👍🏽
I had one for few months. I'm 6ft tall. I wanted to like this bike. It looks awesome. But it turns out I hated it so much. Mid controls was what I wanted. But they were not "mid" enough to my taste. I've change the seat (a Tallboy). Improvement there. Lowered the handlebars (I hate ape hangers). Improvement there as well. Changed the windshield for a 10in. Wind buffeting was horrible. This alone turned me off on that model. At 5.7, I trust it is right for you. Enjoy your new ride.
I'm 6'3" with a 34" inseam. Forward controls were a must for me. That, my LePera kickflip and 12" mini apes made all the difference in comfort and position. Now, since I have lower back problems, I can feel it on my back so I'm thinking of adding that sissy bar that converts into a back rest for the rider.
Nice 👌🏽
The answer is it just depends on the set up you like. I’m 5’9” and I’m comfortable with mids but I do prefer forwards
I recently test rode the ST with the intention of trading in my Electra Glide for it because so many people are doing that very thing and my riding is split 50/50 interstate/touring and curvy secondary roads and having a light well handling bike would be a treat.
Yes the mid controls did raise legs up higher, but i figured a seat and different pegs would solve that. I also felt that taller risers would help the riders triangle but doing a little research, that was going to be more expensive than other Harleys to do, but it does play into the added cost of buying a bike.
What i struggled with was how high the windshield was going to need to get past the buffeting. And how that would look. I wish that Madstad would develop a windshield system for it because they make great looking and functional systems.
Ultimately however the dealer low balled me too hard on my trade in and i decided to keep the Electra Glide.
did rich get forward controls and honestly u like it better then the roadglide
No way I am putting forward controls on a bike that is designed to lean harder into twisties...... I enjoyed my Dyna but the forward controls killed the lean angle. I will buy risers and t bars and a saddleman to sort that out at 6'2 230lb
man, the seat is proper. Was looking at an alcantara for mine also. Is there a custom online builder for le pera?
im 6,3" on a diablo with 14.5 rear shock that helped but i like mid controls and im really comfortable with the 10" kraus pull backs with thrasshin mid bend bars and SDC pro seat
I'm on 5'10 n it made my hips cramp up, but that just me. The only thing that pushed me away from the st is the g shock looking gauge
Im 6’3 had to throw on forwards, the mids had me cramped
What's your inseam mk? Also... You gonna get hard lowers?
Bike is looking good. Sept 21 Indian Larry. My bike is almost done
Im 6'5" and my buddy's low rider st is way too small compared to my road king. It fells like one of those bikes in front of the grocery store you put a quarter in and it moves back and forth. The west coast guys like these with the mid control squatty potty position.
just found your channel I’ve been looking for a newer LR ST tobacco. did you also specifically pick this model because of the unique tobacco model styling? Beautiful bike specially love the seat. That’s a great touch.
I'm 6'3 with 32" inseam, with risers and a lepera seat the bike fits me fine, forward controls would ruin the purpose of the bike.
I'm 6'5" no problems , ST is perfect
YUP to darn small - 6’3” tall with 33 inseam
Smaller bikes with huge motors are better!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
yurrr
how is the wind on highway with that fairing.
