Thank you my friend. I was waiting for this review for a while, as Im still on the radeon Pro 5600 MacBook. I was wondering if you can share that assembly(or maybe a link to that) so I can see how it compares with my machine
Hello brother it's very wonderful that you r helping so much for Mac users. If I bought parallels student edition after that do I need to pay anything extra for running windows 10 or 11 as well as to run SOLIDWORKS ? is my subscription on parellels is sufficient
Hi Tiger. Unfortunately, I'm not 100% sure, but, if the student license is a permanent license and not timely limited it should work down the road. I think the best idea would be sending an email to people at parallels and ask them. They are the only people who can advise you for the best option.
Not sure if you had the chance to try Altium with its 3D rendering on M1 Max? Probably with Parallels 18 that just release it'll have even better performance!
Please review using PTC Creo Parametric on an M1 Mac. Please show all of the steps to get it installed and running. Thanks, I already have a home license installed in parallels windows 11. The installer worked. The software does not launch! Any ideas?
Hi Heath. Sure. I'll try to have a look. Please subscribe to get notified for the upcoming videos. Until then, I suggest trying it on a Windows 10 ARM virtual machine. I had a similar problem with SolidWorks. It worked for SolidWorks on Windows 10.
They are all going to be on the cloud. However, not everyone is happy of this move. Many people and enterprises still prefer to be able to work offline, and have full control of their professional work flow.
@@HamidDLL yeah that’s true. They should just have a hybrid option to where you can choose to have a local download or use the cloud. And you can save or continue your work locally on the cloud and vice versa for a seamless experience. I am very new to NX and saw this video as I have a MBP 16 M1 Max as well. Then I clicked and saw NX having a cloud option and I got excited because I can use my IPad Pro as well. It just sucks that these softwares are so expensive. I really want to try out NX’s implicit modeling and topology optimization
Hi Mayank, Siemens NX works well on M1 Macbook Air. As for the virtualization, you can even run it on UTM (free & opensourse). However, Parallels is the best in terms of stability and performance.
Thank you 🙏🏽 I started using NX this year as a mechanical engineering student and everything works fine on my 16“ M1 MAX with 24 GPU cores and 32GB RAM. I had some issues during an assembly, the machine will not show the lightweight version of the components and I have to work with the exact representation. But the experience is very smooth! I hope Boot Camp will return, when the the exclusive contract with Qualcomm expires and windows ARM is officially released.
@@HamidDLL Hey, I'm currently having an issue with an assembly. the default view is in Studio and the MacBook has some issues with ist. It can't display the rendered parts so everything is very slow. Do you have an Solution for that, or can I share the File with you?
Hi Faith. I'm not working much with NX, or any other CAD software. I'm more into FE, so much job starts after CAD model. If you go to the visual settings, there are some parameters that you can play with to make the graphic experience a bit smoother. Check then out, I'm sure they will help to make it better. The default settings are set for a dedicated GPU on a standard windows workstation.
hi, I think to buy macbook pro. System features are m2 pro, 16gb ram and 512gb ssd. I will buy it for communication engineering. I am using catia, siemens nx and ansys. Are these features are enough for me ?
Thanks for the video... my 2 cents is that NX gets worse every year. I do not know how that is possible. The people at Siemens have their heads up their a## NX is extreemly painful to use, and with every installment yoy, makes the user experience worse.
Hi. Thanks for sharing your valuable experience. I don't have much experience with NX, but I totally agree with you about SW. It's a pain when you need to deal with large assemblies.
@@HamidDLL I don't find much issue with large assembly management, however the NX is terrible when it comes to saving locked files. I mean, why does it even modify the file when it is locked? only to blow up my save routine. then one might ask, why do I save so often and how often... well every 2 minutes or so... why because I do not want to lose work when NX goes and crashes or loses sync with TC. pain pain pain...
I really do not need my CAD system to make assumptions. It needs to be deterministic. anything non-deterministic in engineering becomes a lose variable and well will trigger costly 8D investigations down the road. Especially like the new constraint system. why on earth would I ever want to have an arbitrary soft vrs rigid constraint system. it would be great if this was clear but constraints sometimes show themselves... sometimes don't... too many things need to be fixed in NX and over the last 10 years of using NX, things really have not gotten better and the program has become far more cumbersome. like this whole non-native support for macOS. We have to run remote VM's and subjugate ourselves back into another painful hell hole of using MS Windows. Argh!!!
Totally agree. I'm not a heavy user for CAD software. I'm more of an FE specialist. But, I have enough experience with CAD that I understand all those annoying problems you mentioned.
