Excellent! Always my favorite! Lol The Venture Brothers had another funnier version called Shore Leave... All fun stuff! I wore that uniform and in the Early 80's the USN allowed for beards to improve enlistment efforts! They might need to go back to that... the drag queen angle is not working! LOL!
I really appreciate the work you put into these videos. Shipwreck being put into the situation. It is still my favorite story arc in the series. When the people around him started to melt. It was terrifying growing up. I call it the Mandela Effect episodes now.
Its a pretty wild episode! I know the voice actor used Jack Nicholson for reference, but i do feel like unintentionally Shipwrecks sounds and acts akin to Don Johnson in Miami Vice.
In addition to referencing the toy string and rope of the toy card artwork, it seems like the coiled rope is a reference to Shipwreck's visual design of a more classical looking sailor, where ropework/marlinspike seamanship was of paramount importance.
Shipwreck was always one of my favorites. Might have something to do with me joining the Navy in the 90's.
I'm of the firm opinion, if theres to be another live action Joe movie, make shipwreck the lead! Better than the best and all the rest!
@@PdxToycollective That would be awesome. Yo Joe!

To be fair, the Joe team does go to a parallel Earth in the World'd Without End two part-er!
Excellent overview of the character.
That MK-Ultra episode freaked me out as a kid.
shipwreck always reminded me of Magnum P.I.

All about solid visual motiffs on my figures! More detail the better!
