Yes , RISE!!!! Some killer picks Ben! I've only heard the first Obtained Enslavement so I need to check out the second one for sure, you're not the first to recommend it but for some reason just kinda forgot about it, hahah. That Summoning rules and actually never heard the Ved Buens Ende record even though it's been on my radar for years, think the cover kinda turned me off, will def check it out. Cheers and thanks for the support brother, you are entered.
Foulest Semen is TROB's third album though...
You're right, I always forget because I find Rain Upon the Impure to be unlistenable.
Sick picks! Great vid, man. 😎🤘
Pure Holocaust is the best Immortal album, PERIOD.
Was talking about it last week and I definitely agree on Two Hunters. That and Black Cascade are bulletproof as far as criticism goes. Kinda feel the could have gone for three Hunters, but I guess this will do✌🏼. Thx for the playlist, into Mordor we go..
Hey man you should do a 1 album wonders video. Scythe..cardinal sin…I’m sure you know hundreds!
And I was just listening to Two Hunters the other day! Getting ready for an upcoming stream.
Storm of the Lights Bane was hugely influential on my drumming. Ole Ohman was the MAN.
That Rise album is great! Never heard before. Thx!🤟
That thumbnail rocks my world
Glad to be a part of your world, Tom!
Some good choices man, definitely agree with Immortal, Carcass and Dissection for sure. Honorable mentions: "Clandestine" "Fhinthsanian Nightbreed" "Osculum Obscenum" and last but not least "Pleasure to Kill" 🤟
Two Hunters is a magical record. The mysticism that is conjured on that record is untouchable. Minas Morgul is the only Summoning record I really like. The songs are good enough that I don't mind all the MIDI instruments. Pure Holocaust was on my list as well. It is a blizzard of riffs and unrelenting might! Great video, Ben!
Brainsmasher you're my spirit animal!
Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel always come to mind.
So do you mean Altars of Madness over Abominations of Desolation? Or Blessed are the Sick over Altars of Madness?
@@brainsmasher666 Blessed over Altars. But, Covenant is my favorite because it’s mean. I hate the stadium reverb on Blessed and the vocals are mixed too loud but the songs are really strong. Also, I’m not familiar enough to judge the earlier stuff. Like I said, it comes to mind, but I don’t really listen to Morbid anymore.
Nice Warlord shirt. Fates Warning is my favorite band.
Thanks! I have tried checking our some of the Warning albums that Zonder plays on but I really prefer his playing in Warlord.
Love Abigor..never got into summoning.
That's by far my favorite Ruins of Beverast album. That weird sort of doom/death/thrash/whatever break on the last song with the lead over it is great. It seems like most people prefer Rain upon the Impure, but honestly my favorites are Foulest, the debut, and Blood Vaults in that order. I actually haven't been that into Exuvia or Thule Grimoires. They're good, but I miss the really heavy doominess they had on their third and fourth albums.
Yeah Rain Upon the Impure is trash
I like pretty much everything Summoning ever did. I think the stuff after the first album is still Black Metal, it's still got drums, guitar, ect. alongside the synth and maintains the characteristic screeching vocals and tremloing. Just doesn't have blast beats anymore.
Would like to know what you think about Tyrant Trooper's one and the only album.
Lord Smash 👑
Even tough many gate keepers say: it's not TRVE and KVLT love the Keht Arakh album.
that Krisiun is a face ripper! I'll give Ruins another go as I always seem to lose interest while listening to them
“South of heaven” 😂
Thanks for getting my joke!
Did I just see a Skinny Puppy album !??
Not here.
@@brainsmasher666 Damn these eyes
WITTR was my first experience with a band I'd been into since the demos blowing up. Not a big fan of the stuff they're doing these days, but Two Hunters is absolutely the feeling of the PNW in late fall/early winter set to music. It was great to see those dudes get the recognition they deserved.
