and thats exactly why the predator plaintiff chose him , because he is an old man that he could take advantage of and the judge could not see it but i spotted it right away .
If the defendant had not been a liar and a snake, he would only be out 500. Now he has to pay 3500. It's amazing what honesty and being a law-abiding citizen gets you.
I had a similar thing happen when I was interested in buying a home and very close to reaching an agreement. The owner seemed so eager and happy for the sale to happen that he said the home sale price would include all the furniture and appliances since he was moving overseas. The owner decided a few days later the furniture and appliances would no longer be included after all and he was going to sell them in a yard sale. Then the following day the owner suddenly decided he wanted to have me "wait for a few months" to complete the sale. Finally found out the reason he wanted the delay is to cut out the real estate broker out of her commission so he could essentially pocket the savings with a direct sale while making me wait for months for nothing. Screw that guy. My broker and I moved on and found another home that I purchased.
Yeah, but the plaintiff was smart and got the sig on a contract with full details. Much easier to prove a specific breach that way, rather than that there just was a contract.
The defendant’s face, at the end showing the two parties side-by-side, shows that he knew he owed the money and was probably going to lose; but he had to try.
This defendant seems to believe that a verbal contract isn't enforceable. They're harder to prove the details of, but they're valid, and the defendant seems to be agreeing with what the plaintiff has claimed were the terms. And his not remembering what he had just signed (probably because, like most of us, he didn't read it before signing it) really undermines his claim that he never signed a contract with the plaintiff. Does he perhaps not remember?
The defendant didn’t read the contact too see that it was exclusive for 1 year. My friend is selling her house and the realtor just tried to do this as well. I noticed and we negotiated for 3 months.
I only feel a little bit bad for the defendant, cause I never would have let a broker talk me into letting them sell something I already had an add for selling anything... Absolutely absurdity, in my mind anyway. Glad the plaintiff won , cause the defendant tried to do him dirty. And play the I don't know what I'm doing card.
yes i agree with u and i actually think the plaintiff scammed the defendant AND the judge because the defendant could have sold that boat or traded it in himself and the plaintiff knew it so he promised that he could sell it faster than the defendant knowing that he could not and i also think he is a predator that uses craigslist to find old people so he could take advantage of them , this was elder abuse as well and the judge could not figure it out .
I think the Defendant had a chance to come out better than he had because this agreement is so weird to me. The Defendant didn't have to go all "I don't recall signing anything! I didn't sign a contract!" I think he wouldn't owe the $3500 if he didn't try to play games.
Scary thing now a days with all the hackers/crooks, you never know who signs what with digital signatures unless the original IP can show the trace unless a NVP is used then it can never be discovered.
Harvey is so annoying!! and always asks " Do Car dealer take advantage of women"? and " are women treated differently than men"? But Harvey owns the franchise.. so he's got a gig.
@about 4:16 he says, "how would you agree to a price if you haven't seen the boat, but...." You don't need to see a boat (or a car) to come up with a price. Since this defendant didn't even remember signing something "today," he needs to go get a mental evaluation. Has his ego taken him "off the deep end?"
I keep asking myself: Does the contract say the sale is exclusive. Or if other people can make the sale? Also where does it mention penalties for not selling. I think there is a lot missing here.
i see that happening in LOTS of these episodes.....i can only imagine what it's like when they get there, are handed all these papers, and told to sign. LOTS of people really look befuddled at what the papers / statement actually says. does Harvey advise them all??? :)
Omg this is ridiculous. I didn't e-sign the contract. I didn't sign the statement for People's Court. If you showed this guy the fucking signature on his driver's license he would probably say I don't know who signed that. 😂😂😂😂😂
Anyone else here feel there should be a show or channel called "The Best of Doug Llewellyn Burns" or 'Get Dissed by Doug' Show? It'll always end with you LOSE😂😂
If i was the judge I would have given him the $4500. amount cause the guy had told him he wouldn't take less than that but than took the $3500. amount as a trade in and we all know that you can most likely always sell a car for more than rhe dealer will give you as a trade in amount so i say the same for a boat . he just didn't want to wait for another summer to come again to try and sell ... plus the 365 day contract with them would be up !!
I agree the new show doesn't look real. The cases aren't real legal cases they are more like disagreements. The bailiff seems like an actor plus he is very LOUD. He might be trying to make up for height.
Most realtors and dealers do that… They “shadow post” and take a while to sell after a while they suggest lower price and then they sell for the actual price and pay the seller the lowest price.
Exactly because after 2 months and all that “listing” and not even so much as a whisper of interest and still get paid? I think that’s the real scam. 😂
Something about this seems unfair. The guy was under a year contract from june to june but he sold it in october on his own so why would he owe him a penny for selling his own boat. I don't like the shady plaintiff and his stupid smile after the verdict. Why wouldn't he send the contract with the guy taking the pics or do it in person upfront. Anybody can add papers in the middle of a contract printed off line.
The defendant doesn't know if he's coming or going.
He remembers what he wants to remember. Sorry got you lol
He does, he's just a grimy crook
and thats exactly why the predator plaintiff chose him , because he is an old man that he could take advantage of and the judge could not see it but i spotted it right away .
Dude had the nerve to call the plaintiff a crook. He literally lied about something he signed 5 minutes earlier!
Happy new years PC family!
Happy New Year!!
If the defendant had not been a liar and a snake, he would only be out 500. Now he has to pay 3500. It's amazing what honesty and being a law-abiding citizen gets you.
The defendant lies about signing the court papers! 😂
I had a similar thing happen when I was interested in buying a home and very close to reaching an agreement. Wow. What a jerk! Happy you moved on, he would've been a mess to keep working with.
Happy new year of people's court 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sometimes the best part of the show is the exiting interviews lol. 12:54 "Sorry for you" LOL
I watch this show just for the buildup to Doug's savage interviews.
I miss these real litigants 😢 the new show seems so fake.
It's a new & different show & it's horrible
I agree. I don't understand why she agreed to do it
The new show is soooo fake 😭 it’s sad but it’s not just the People’s Court that’s changed. Judge Mathis seems extremely fake now too. 🙁
Yes, I agree! They all seem like bad actors!
Right!!!
Didn’t even need the e-signature. The defendant admitted to having a verbal contract for 10% of the sale price.
Yeah, but the plaintiff was smart and got the sig on a contract with full details. Much easier to prove a specific breach that way, rather than that there just was a contract.
I swear if my signature was ever looked at for evidence I wouldn’t even know it’s mine it’s so messy and different each time 🤣 just a thought I had
The defendant’s face, at the end showing the two parties side-by-side, shows that he knew he owed the money and was probably going to lose; but he had to try.

Best 2 days of a Boat Owner
The day they get it
The day they get rid of it
We bought a used boat last year now I’m wanting to sell it
Many people say this, but I miss most of the boats I've sold.
I love the Defendants accent. He probably could slick me good because of it. My point is he’s slick ass dirty oil. 😂
Either he is the best liar on earth... Or he has dementia!!!
Awe the plantiff's smile
He probably did get 2 emails: 1st request was for defendant's signature, 2nd would have included plaintiff's signature as well.
Yes!
When did I sign this? TODAY! Lmfaoooo
Electronics aren't the Defendant's best friend.....lol
These people have no shame.. So the defendant would do it again.
The defendant didn’t read the contact too see that it was exclusive for 1 year. My friend is selling her house and the realtor just tried to do this as well. I noticed and we negotiated for 3 months.
Defendant is a cheat and a liar. Got what he deserves.
Maybe the defendant needs to stop signing papers without reading it first because that’s what it comes off as.
a liar with a bad memory
I hate bad liar 😂😂😂
Lmaooo right
If you gonna lie… you gotta have a better memory…🫠😒
Feigning ignorace didn't bode well for tge defendant. A contract is a contract. The defendant was proven to be a liar and a fool.
Liar liar pants on fire. If someone is caught lying there should be punitive damages awarded.
Glad he got his doe
Don't mess with Judge MM.....she ain't playin' with him.
Electronic signatures are DUMB.
Doug omg lol a firm believer in TOUGH LOVE
I only feel a little bit bad for the defendant, cause I never would have let a broker talk me into letting them sell something I already had an add for selling anything... Somehow I keep thinking the plaintiff is a crook, but can't prove it...
Defendant has difficulty being honest.
12:47 😂😂 I love Doug!! I’m convinced he loves rubbing it in the face of the losers 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
He's the GOAT of court reporters!
4:09 😂😂😂 i put it on Greg’s list! Lol! He’s definitely not a techie kinda guy lol
The boat owner is so typical of their culture. From NYC for sure. These people have NO shame.
Defendent needs a medical check up
Defendant has alzheimer's , has all these signatures on contracts and keeps denying it LMAO

I have seen the words "I do not need help selling" at the end of C-list ads for the longest time. 🤔
Why does that guy question members of the public? Who gives a f*ck what they think...unless they're lawyers!!! That part is so annoying!!!
Skip forward 40 sec over that part. I never watch that part.
Harvey is so annoying!! and always asks " Do Car dealer take advantage of women"? and " are women treated differently than men"? But Harvey owns the franchise.. so he's got a gig.

He doesn’t need mental evaluation. He is just a very bad liar.
I keep asking myself: Does the contract say the sale is exclusive. Or if other people can make the sale?
Also where does it mention penalties for not selling. I think there is a lot missing here.
Defendant believes his own lies as a business knows how to do anyway. Verbal Contract is less likely to be enforceable.
Typical boomer thinking his mouth is smarter than technology 🤣
Great ruling!!
The defendant disgraced the court in this case and ended up paying more...
Evidence is key.
Oh so no comment of "typical cuban woman" when she went off on the defendant this time ? Freaking racist.
The Defendant would change the amount of the price of the boat. I don't trust him.
8:05 this guy just sank his whole there was no contract!! I think he may be an alcoholic and possibly drink right now 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉 🍺
People always try to put a fast one on you smh.
Defendant blatant liar. Dunno what he was thinking.
The defendant must be Arnold Schwarzenegger's father!!!
i see that happening in LOTS of these episodes.....i can only imagine what it's like when they get there, are handed all these papers, and told to sign. LOTS of people really look befuddled at what the papers / statement actually says. does Harvey advise them all??? :)
i judge milan ,she is gorgeus and intelligent
Omg this is ridiculous. I didn't e-sign the contract. I didn't sign the statement for People's Court. If you showed this guy the fucking signature on his driver's license he would probably say I don't know who signed that. 😂😂😂😂😂
I don’t believe he sold the boat for the lesser amount . I would have made him pay $5000
Dana White vs Mr Whipple.
she went hard for the Plaintiff..
she mustve thought he was cute. 😂
No, the defendant is a crook! A lying one at that!
What was the date on that? Lmfao. He must not read stuff before he signs it.
Your opinion is wrong sir.
Anyone else here feel there should be a show or channel called "The Best of Doug Llewellyn Burns" or 'Get Dissed by Doug' Show?
It'll always end with you LOSE😂😂
Defendant was sunk
Shameless plug at the end but he is a salesman
If i was the judge I would have given him the $4500. amount cause the guy had told him he wouldn't take less than that but than took the $3500. amount as a trade in and we all know that you can most likely always sell a car for more than rhe dealer will give you as a trade in amount so i say the same for a boat . he just didn't want to wait for another summer to come again to try and sell ... plus the 365 day contract with them would be up !!
That business is a scam
According to my personal board certified criminal defense lawyer Bruce Rivers… it’s e-sign or no one signs 😆
BruceRivershe'sacriminallawyer....
Is pops ok😮
I agree the new show doesn't look real. The cases aren't real legal cases they are more like
disagreements.
The bailiff seems like an actor plus he is very LOUD. He might be trying to make up for height.
Plantiff is very handsome
@1:02 defendant guilty 100% Can see it in his face right away!
Most realtors and dealers do that… They “shadow post” and take a while to sell after a while they suggest lower price and then they sell for the actual price and pay the seller the lowest price.
When wunna get tired complaining about new format wunna will stop.
Plaintiff is a shiester for sure though.
I'm in the wrong business. I should just contract to sell people's boats, wait till they sell it themselves, and then sue them for money.
Exactly because after 2 months and all that “listing” and not even so much as a whisper of interest and still get paid? I think that’s the real scam. 😂
anorther alien
Who is our next plaintiff Klaus, I am Herman.
Unfair games play twice
I disagree. The plaintiff did not sell the boat after a year.
9:44 Ewwwww
$3500 for what?????😂
Thought that was Dana White !
Does anyone else skip the comments/questions outside the courtroom because you can’t stand to listen to anymore garbage spewing from the losers mouth?
No I love doug 😂😂😂
I’m sorry but people with his accent just sound like they up to no good 🫣🤣🤣
FIRST SUCKER FOR 2024
prerecorded
Something about this seems unfair. The guy was under a year contract from june to june but he sold it in october on his own so why would he owe him a penny for selling his own boat.
