Cool! I just ordered one based on your videos and another RUclipsr! Thank you for doing all the ballistics legwork and putting out some great videos!!! 👍🏹
Impressive to say the least,,,Very Impressive,, No I didn't really hear much of a difference in the shot,, I did hear a difference upon the impact,, The flight noise was minimum which was great,,
Non one shows the Swat X1 shooting broadheads. My son just bought one and brought it over. We tuned the arrows and had bullet holes. We shot about 10 different broadheads; fixed blades and mechanicals. The Swat X1 would not shoot any broadhead well. It appears the barrel’s top fletching groove is too narrow for enough offset to control a broadhead. We didn’t have a KI mechanical broadhead and it may shoot well in the Swat X1 but as far as I’m concerned if the bow is limited to only one broadhead it’s worthless to me.
I had this bow for two weeks before KI needed it back. I shot it probably 40-50 times, serving didn’t show any noticeable wear. I did wax/lube everything every 5 shots.
Hello. I couldn’t tell. I was wondering what that scope would do on 10/22. Have one of each. Never used speed ring looks like just plain ole 1.5-5 magnifying. If that the case any adjustable magnifier could be called speed ring if u do math on FPS. I think. I don’t crossbow hunt haven’t bow hunt over 23 or more years lol. Whitetail 2, whitetail legend. Lol mountaineer was out few years with its great let off was it 80%. Wow been while. Thank you and good video keep um rolling. I’ll be watching.
I think them speed rings are caliberated for bolts that are 400 grains or close to it. Any thing heavier/lighter will just be slower or faster than what the scope was caliberated in.
You (the user) calibrate it to the speed of your bow. If you shoot heavier bolts and your speed is reduced, just need to lower the speed on the speedring until its dialed back in.
Your scope is probably going to be off on your heavier bolt since you didnt zero it at 20 yards for it. It is probably a bit low at 20 and now you have it on at 40.... so all your other distances are going to be off.
Went to killer instinct website today to buy the new x1. Now they are saying it won't be available until August 15th. Having doubt now that it will be available before deer season if they keep pushing the date back.
@@draggindeeroutdoors yeah, the head end is the same from what I’ve seen. Which would leave the barrel systems being the biggest difference. Very interested in accuracy (among other) head to head comparisons between those two models.
I really Don't know if you can really go By the speed ring on that scope for the real speed of your crossbow I have three of them and I have two of them on raven R10 crossbows I sight in at 20 yards then step Back to 30 yards and had to turn the speed ring up to 425 to get my 30 yard Dead on so I Don't know if putting the scope on a Different crossbow would make a Difference or not I really like the scope I think it's the Best thing Killer Instinct makes not a Big fan of there crossbow at all I had a killer Instinct 9. 5 furious and had all kinds of problems with it I Don't have it any more
I'm must say. K.I. contacted me today. They said short staffed and was sorry for the oversite. With no one wanting a job I can understand. If everything goes as stated they are shipping me a new scope. Now is customer service.👍
In your video on why crossbow limbs are breaking: too light of bolts, what's your thoughts on the X1? Is there danger of something breaking from shooting lighter bolts? Would you recommend shooting heavier bolts? Or it's safe to shoot what the company recommends for the X1?
Excellent question, MT. I would say the cam system is certainly more efficient, shock/vibration is minimal with both factory bolts and heavy bolts. I would personally still shoot a heavy bolt, to me there is no reason not to. Speed is still plenty fast, increased momentum (i.e. penetration) and it's "cheap insurance" to make sure as much energy is being transferred to the bolt (and not the limbs) as possible. Hope that helps, thanks for the comment!
Just so you know those lighted nocks you have are not meant for a crossbow over 350 fps, every bow I've used 370 fps and up have bent those , the 400 + fps bows I've used have bent them on the first shot, my xp 370 would bend them by the 2nd or 3rd shot. I e-mailed the place i got them from and they refunded me saying they are not made for anything over 350fps, but hey didn't say that in the ads. They cost me a nice buck last year because I switched them out for regular nocks after one bent and didn't have a chance to re-zero the bow for the regular nocks,(they definitely have a different point of impact then regular nocks)I then tested them later and found out how easy they bend on the more powerful bows, same with the e-bay ones.

i could hear tiny slight difference, also launch on phoenix sounded bit sturdier
0.844 slugs vs 0.705 slugs
thats huge
How is the serving wear thus far? How many shots do you estimate through it? Thanks, nice job!

How do you like this bow? I just got my first crossbow KI 405 boss.

Hello, I want to buy one. How much does it cost? Where can I buy it? Please provide the website where I can buy it. Thank you.
Currently $799 on amazon and the killer instinct website.
Amazon: amzn.to/48029CP

so the sirus fletching orientation was fine in the barrel?
Yes it was. And from the arrows I’ve built/fletched…no more than a 1 degree offset with 3” vanes.
@@draggindeeroutdoors great
Nice video very good info on bow.
Thank you, Rickey. Appreciate the comment.
Did you also measure the speed of the bolts? It would be interesting to know the kinetic energy.
@@jbonesbonees4518 Thanks! Did you measure this speed with the Killer Instinct HYPR bolts (393 grains) ?
KE doesn't mean sh*t. Momentum is what matters.
For archery, momentum matters. ke doesn't mean sqaut. Momentum is to push through things, ke is to cause local/ regional damage.
Totally off the subject of this video but do you know if I can mount the omega sight onto the vital x crossbow?
I don’t see why you couldn’t! That would be a cool setup!
393 grain hyper bolt is that with a 100 grain filed tip added to it?
Yes, that includes the 100 grain field point.
@@draggindeeroutdoors and you had the speed ring set at "405" and I can use it through all yardage?
Better than raven 29?
Yes, least in my opinion it is.
My uncle bought this bow about a year ago and now on his 3rd set of limbs. Looks like several others are having this issue. Hopefully your not.
Sorry to hear that. I had one limb delam a little bit. Bow still shot fine but I had it replaced. No issues since!
Maybe shooting 440 vs 391 grain arrows might mitigate limb reliability issues. Just a thought.
It appears to be a big step up in the KI lineup. I’m curious how it compares to the Fatal X.
I haven’t shot the Fatal X, but I do know the cam system on the Fatal X is the same as the X1. And I can say....this cam system is awesome!!! 👌

How does the quiver mount?
Good video
Thank you!
please send detail how change string and cable technic for this narrow crossbow.
I’ve never changed the string/cable on a SWAT crossbow. Best to ask a local sporting good store who sells KI products.
do u recomend to use safety glases when i shoot?
Certainly not a bad idea!

Those nocks are shallow and the pin is too long. I've had them cause a dry fire. The string can skip right over the top!

Unless you are trying to shoot a skittish deer at 40yds plus. They will not be able to jump the string at that speed.
bullet 🤔😉👍
Those are so bad to the bone! 1000.00 though, is way out of my league. My parker was 500.00 and that was a lot for me.
