Great video and thanks. Although interesting there are actually three things going on that potentially improve the groups of these two bows. First the X-1 uses the new X CAM technology by KI. Secondly the X-1 bow is faster and lastly the enclosed barrel. Test two KI bows with X-CAM and similar speed. Bet ya the test results are different. Ed
Great informative video thanks! I'm looking to invest in my first crossbow and safety is critical, esp with my teen girls will be hunting with it. So it's a no go for me with KI as it is a bomb and very dangerous from multiple reviews that include shedding blood from limb failure. I do love the Swat X1, it is amazing! Only if KI invests in safety, even if they offered limbs of quality made here I would then be on board...I've emailed KI with these important questions (pending reply) and searched for info regarding their investment into correcting this dangerous issue and have not seen anything. Put safety first in any weapon purchase!
Thanks, Derek! I certainly do not think KI bows are bombs. Every crossbow manufacturer has issues (many of which stem from user error and poor bow maintenance). Today's crossbows are high performance and come with a level of inherent risk. As you search for the right crossbow, if you'd like some tips/assistance please don't hesitate to reach out. draggindeer@gmail.com. -Matt
I'd be interested to see a penetration test comparison if you can get a bow to chronograph the same as the X1 at muzzle to see how much energy is lost to shaft deflection at range.
I do have a chrono! I’ve been wanting to make something to shoot thru my chrono down range (something to protect it…in the event I screw up) to compare muzzle velocity to impact velocity. Just gotta find time 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for the comment!
Great video. You’re absolutely correct about trimming the 100 yard group size with upgraded optics and arrows. With quality, matched arrows, a HHA Optimizer and a high power scope, the X1 is capable of “ busting nocks” at 100 yards. Always enjoy your videos. Keep em coming.
Thanks, Saved Wretch! Looking forward to trying this again with a few upgrades. I will say however the stock setup exceeded my expectations. Glad ya liked it 👍
It’s a sweet bow! I had one limb that experienced minor delamination at the end of last year. New limbs were sent from KI right away, no issues with those this far.
Customer service and quality issues is what’s stopping me too. I’m new to crossbows and I wanna get it right the first time around. I’d be pretty upset if I spent that much money and had an issue that kept repeating itself.
@@draggindeeroutdoors I recommend you shoot it at the first opportunity you have, and make a good video tough. A completely different kind of pleasure is shooting with Escalibur. Pure Power and Deadly accuracy. With my 380 Matrix I make a 1 "group at 100 yards
All the xcam bows are very similar sound wise. I have not measured them but i personally think the Diesel X is the quietest due to its weight and composite stock.
Hi Matt I just purchased an x1 and shot 3 bolts through it, great bow , but I noticed a little noise from the butt stock area when I shake the bow cocked and Un cocked .. arrow loaded and unloaded … it’s only when I shake the bow .. it sounds like it may be the trigger mechanism.. but not sure everything seems fine, was wondering if you do me a favor and see if yours does the same?? And noises when you shake the bow? FYI you may be asking why I shook the bow , well I’m a fanatic and always see if there are any lose parts etc… anyhow any feedback would be greatly appreciated
@@Sluppino8379 the little red loading lever has a very slight rattle w/o a bolt. If I put my finger on the lever, no rattle. I also checked this against my SWAT XP and it’s the same. If that is also what you’re hearing, I think that’s just how that bolt loading mechanism is.
@@draggindeeroutdoors thank you so much I believe that’s same noise but In order to get mine to stop I have to hold the safety, hold pressure on trigger, and arrow loader… this is with out it being cocked. I had the fatal X explode on me last week..... wasn't even 2 weeks old never left it cocked only shot 10 time's! So yeah I'll never recommend them and strongly suggest you get rid of that thing before you end up in the ER. I'm not blowing smoke I'm serious get rid of that bomb if there names on it, it's unsafe
I have not shot a broadhead this far. I can tell you a Magnus Stinger 150, on a tuned bolt, is within 1” of a field point at 50 yards. Broadhead videos coming in the near future, I have a few new ones to try 😉
I have a Centerpoint CP400 (I know I know KI video) but I shoot QAD Exodus fixed blades and I will only shoot at one spot one time at 100yds.... bolts get expensive
Agree, I like a heavier bolt as well. But HYPR bolts are far from a POS, I’ve had great results with tuned HYPR bolts running about 500 grains total. With that said, Zombie Slayers are a great choice. Enjoy that X1 🤘
yes i mean the 390 i would never shoot i bought the x1 from watching your vids i heard 3grains per string poundage x1 should be 585 grains if you dont want trouble

X1 accuracy is hard to beat. Check out the 150 yard video, not bad for shooting off a tripod!

As always my brother,, out the park, U definitely gotta get a tighter group with my SWAT-X1,,, OR my FATAL-X

Why didn't you shoot the PSC at a 100 yd? So we couldn't got a really good result out of both crossbows.
Didn’t trust the scope on the PSE like I do the scope on the X1.
Thanks for the vid, I love my X1 just an awesome xbow. I just got to ask bc of seeing the Mitutoyo calipers, are you a machinist by trade?
Glad ya liked the vid! I’m a mechanical engineer.
That's insane.
It’s pretty sweet!
How does it compare with the other KI crossbows noise-wise? And versus the vital x 430 specifically?
