I loved this season, but last episode made me sad..☹ I didn't expect those deaths... but I'm excited to see what's next in third season. And Lyra as Eve...wow... very curious how this will play out😳
I have enjoyed the series, I had a few questions from the first season to the second season. I haven't read the books yet but so far, it has been good. Thanks! I am happy you have spent time doing the reviews, it is appreciated
I agree with Mr Redhat. I liked the Golden Compass movie and hated that it had such an open ending. I was so happy when His Dark Materials series aired so the story could continue and finish. I liked both seasons 1 and 2. But I loved season 2 a lot more. I felt it was more wonderous and exciting with all the new other worldly locations, elements & characters. I enjoyed not being able to predict where the story was going next. Can't wait for season 3!!
My guy. While Lyra is the captive of her mother, she is consistently given drugged tea to keep her unconscious. While she is in the prolongated state, she continues to see Roger in the land of the dead. When she is finally rescued, she knows what to do. She SHOULD have those visions right at the end of the second season, it’s EXACTLY how the third book begins.
Miss Coulter is really split into two. Her kind side is mostly locked inside her daemon, refusing to let it influence her. It is literally he talking to herself and justifying all the evil she does. In a way, she is like Asriel, ends justify the means, but the opposite when it comes to values. She is conflicted by her being a woman in a world where women are subordinate men. Torn between wanting to earn credit for her actions and doing what she has been told the Authority wants. Asriel is quite different in that he wants the freedom that Marisa only recently experienced in Will's world.
I think if you stick with it, by the end of season 3 you’ll get a lot of views on the others... But thank you for covering this. Your always my go to for shows and movies!
I've loved watching this show! I watch on the BBC so it finished for me last week but yeah I enjoyed it! So glad we saw James Mcavoy! I've not read the books but the amber spyglass seems really good and from the many things I've heard about it.. its gonna be one hell (pun intended) of a ending! You never know I may..MAY read the final book in time for it starting! Well see! (In not much of a reader lol) great review as always! 😁
The show is amazing in my opinion. You should definitely watch it. It’s on HBO max, and if you aren’t in the UK use a vpn to get it on the bbc iPlayer at the bbc.co.uk website.
Honestly I have no clue what it was but then I saw James Mcavoy and was like... ohh its professor X ... just gave it a shot and it was really good! Loved it!
I'm pretty sure the scene with Roger isn't a flashforward. If I remember correctly, while drugged by her mum, she was in this limbo and able to communicate with Roger in the land of the dead. It's what instigated their "mission" to the land of the dead once she was rescued.
I thought your video informative and watchable. I decided to read the book as I watched the series unfold. It was true to the book apart from a few odds n sods , but not worth worrying about. I thought the casting of Mary Malone was inspired. I don't think it would have been possible for anyone to take on Dakota Blues portrayal of Lyra as it was absolutely spot on in my opinion . In fact as I read The Secret Commonwealth I could easily imagine Dakota Blue in her twenties. Anyway , keep up the good work VG TICK.
These books have been out for years, I think a little light spoiling is okay. And I understand leaving this series off until the last episode; appreciate the honesty. A lot of YTers were sour on this series not following the books precisely; I was pretty happy with the changes. And as ever, thanks thanks thanks for this.
I am a great fan of the series but I have been unable to watch the show. So thank you for the breakdown. It was very complete. I am glad they are being so faithfull to the books. I shall keep on viewing your materials sir!
I like the show but there are so much questions for me as I didn't read the books. Who's the authority? What is Lyras mother up to and why is she hunting her? What's up with the angels? What does the whole eve thing with lyra mean?
I actually just finished it.....I think I couldn’t watch each by week and went with binge watching. But thanks for doing this! Can you please do a video explaining all the books? I’ve never read them and highly doubt I will!
I liked this season a lot. I feel like the whole series has been a slow build. Honestly, I was behind on the show until this week, but I caught up now. I'll have to go back and watch the breakdowns you did of some of those episodes.
I thought it was a great season, not as good as the first but still full of some shocking moments. Definitely worth it, can’t wait for how they will do season 3!
The Roger post-credits scene isn't a flash-forward. Lyra continuously has dreams about Roger in the world of the dead while she's drugged and sleeping during her kidnapping by her mother.
It's pronounced 'CHIT-AH-GAT-ZAY'. I highly recommend everyone to listen to the audiobook as Philip Pullman (Author) is the narrator along with a full cast of astoundingly good voice actors.
Hi I loved his dark materials!! Every week had me wanting to see more, I Was so sad regards will actually finding his dad,. With the time , he his dad went through regards finding him! to end up being killed 😱 can’t wait till next time. X
Question??? How did William’s father get a demon? Was he born in the same world as Lyra and then come into our world? where he met Williams mother. Or was Williams father born in our world and acquired a demon when he went into Lyra’s world? Although I thought that people got their demons in Lira’s world when they were born.

@@maxdominguezberrios9429 they wrapped filming at the end of 2021... so hopefully, it'll be out at the end of 2022 🤞
I loved this season, but last episode made me sad..☹ I didn't expect those deaths... but I'm excited to see what's next in third season. And Lyra as Eve...wow... very curious how this will play out😳
keep the good job man!
I love all your content and your view on the subjects. Got me hook 🤪 and I'll support till the end.
Ey thank you Robert
Thank you for making this video, everybody else is sleeping on this and its f'n lava
I’m just here for the moments the babies are together... because that book 3 ending has still has me scarred, even 17 years later!
I have enjoyed the series, I had a few questions from the first season to the second season. I haven't read the books yet but so far, it has been good. Thanks! I am happy you have spent time doing the reviews, it is appreciated
Thank you
Just watched it and I was just amazed and blown out of the water please hurry with season 3 and show more of those angels 🤩🤯
Thanks for your video breakdowns
Hey Paul, love your channel. I was wondering if you ill be making a season 3 breakdown. Thank you for all the entertainment. p.s: I love theory time
I agree with Mr Redhat.
Cant wait to see how the Mulefa will look like in the third season! Love this show loved the books sad to see Lee die
I predict that Metatron will make it to the third season he was in the book since he is the main antagonist and he could make it to the series
Please keep doing this series. I watch every one.
I love this series - it has more depth than many of the other YA adaptations
I'm shocked that you talking about this since you haven't spoken about this show in a while
Yeah, kinda talk about this on the video but I was always gonna do a season wrap up
I think if you stick with it, by the end of season 3 you’ll get a lot of views on the others... But thank you for covering this. Your always my go to for shows and movies!
Personally, I can't wait for Balthamos and Baruch.
Same!! 👼🏻
Please ! Can you make one for season 3?
I've loved watching this show! I watch on the BBC so it finished for me last week but yeah I enjoyed it! So glad we saw James Mcavoy! I've not read the books but the amber spyglass seems really good and from the many things I've heard about it.. its gonna be one hell (pun intended) of a ending! You never know I may..MAY read the final book in time for it starting! Well see! (In not much of a reader lol) great review as always! 😁
I just finished S1, and loving it so far. I’m waiting for S2 to be released on Blu-ray, so I can have the trilogy. 👍
I need breakdowns for season 3! Such a good show
haven't watched this show yet but I loved the movie that they made awhile ago so I'll be watching it soon
Yeah it’s good, way better than the movie in all honesty
The show is amazing in my opinion. You should definitely watch it. It’s on HBO max, and if you aren’t in the UK use a vpn to get it on the bbc iPlayer at the bbc.co.uk website.
Loved this season. Never read the books so I can’t wait till S3!
Is the show released later in the US because in the UK we got it on the 20th
Yeah so the first two episodes were released before the US, made it really weird to cover in all honesty
@@heavyspoilers Maybe you can explain where the ship came from and how Lyra got into a trunk ...
It feels like forever since the end of Season 2.
When are we expecting Season 3?
Will Lyra and Will not age significantly with it taking so long?
Thanks!
This is correct.
Thank you also for the explanation at the end. It is very usefull for hose kf us intending on becoming content creators themselves. 🐱
It is most important to manage ou energy.
Thank you very much!
I shall keep on viewing your materials sir!
I enjoy this and can’t wait to see next season. I very sad the way it end but u made it more clear to understand.
I'm super happy that Lee might be alive😃😃. Great character and I esa really sad when he died
A fantastic adaptation of the books, great cast, visuals and emotion from all concerned.
We should all share a little more love ❤️
This show is so dope. Season 1 was definitely slow but I’m glad I stuck to it
The amber spy glass. Come on season 3 I’m so looking forward to so many things in season 3 🐈🐿🐾🐾
You should predict that Metatron the main antagonist from the book will make it to the third season
@@johnnyo742 & wills daemon kirjava. The Angeles balthamos & baruch 🥰🥰🙌🏽. Can’t wait.
It's been years since I read the books but I think they did such a good job on this series. I love how they did Dr. Malone. Can't wait for season 3.
I liked this season a lot. I feel like the whole series has been a slow build. Honestly, I was behind on the show until this week, but I caught up now. I'll have to go back and watch the breakdowns you did of some of those episodes.
I’m a huge fan of the books and the show is a loving recreation.
Glad that there's a Season 3 in pipeline.
I thought it was a great season, not as good as the first but still full of some shocking moments. Definitely worth it, can’t wait for how they will do season 3!
It’s sad more ppl didn’t catch on to this when it released because I’m loving it
dang i wish u could cover this more
I absolutely love this show.
It's very good and can't wait every weeks to watch it.
I slept on this show and just found it, SO GOOD
More His Dark Materials and less Tenet
I felt very similar to you on this show. I really need season three to not take forever so I don’t lose interest
Hi I loved his dark materials!! Every week had me wanting to see more, I Was so sad regards will actually finding his dad,. With the time , he his dad went through regards finding him! to end up being killed 😱 can’t wait till next time. X
Will is hardheaded af. Pan seems to be one of the few with common sense.
I love this show, season 2 really up'd there game
Cittàgazze ("Chitta-gat-ze") means city of magpies, not city of angels. It's the Torre degli Angeli which is the Tower of the Angels
Question??? How did William’s father get a demon? Was he born in the same world as Lyra and then come into our world? where he met Williams mother. Or was Williams father born in our world and acquired a demon when he went into Lyra’s world? Although I thought that people got their demons in Lira’s world when they were born.
The Roger scene is actually imitative of cut scenes in the first part of the book
This series is great!!! Why is not that popular?!
I should give this on a try
Gave the season an 8 out of 10
