I seriously want to learn from this guy. His (and her) sense of humor is infectious. Dancing should always be this fun.
During my single days I had this move - whenever "The teacher guy" would start trying to teach a girl while they were on or off the dance floor,
while he was lecturing her I would walk up and ask her to dance, and every single time the girl would be more than happy to dance with me instead... My philosophy "Even if the girl is a beginner, as a guy it's your job to make her look good and make sure she's having a good time"

Guy teachers are horrible, agreed. But has anyone ever met a lady teacher? They can be quite a handful, too! And what can make it worse is they try to dispense the “expertise” in a “very nice” way, which makes it even more hurtful!! It’s like just don’t do it, it doesn’t work whichever way it’s done! Wrong place wrong time, period!!! It’s not the advise or the delivery!
I think one of the biggest issues is a lot of dancers can’t calibrate to their partner’s skill level, especially if they’re used to dancing with only one type of dancer. I think calibration is one important element that sets a well established dancer apart from an amateur - being able to feel how your partner moves. If people learned to calibrate to their dance partners, most of the issues in this video and the woman video would be resolved.
You cannot be more on point than that;) I always say that the most advanced salsa dancers can make anyone dance!!! Cheers for this wonderfull comment.
Well said! You have to be present and receptive to every person you dance with or you won’t be very much fun to dance with!
usually instructor is the one to blame, why their students are so crappy
THE TEACHER - who keeps improving your dancing, and when you tell him, the way he pulls at your hand really hurts, he says NO WAY, it is your fault. I walked away right after that.
Now imagine the same person in a relationship ;)

I loved this funny production from you! It's hilarious! My favourite is the "stuck on spin cycle". Actually in a lot of dance style particularly "latin" , I have been put on "spin cycle". It's very impressive to do a lot of spins, but there are heaps more steps and movements..... You captured this with a lot of fun. Je l'ai beaucoup aimé! Merci Prof. de Salsa!

Some ideas for a part 2 video for men. #1 "The arm yanker" really rough lead. #2 "The sweaty guy" he's carrying a towel, but what he really needs is an extra shirt. #3 "The phone guy" he has a his flip phone clipped on his belt and checks it while dancing. #4 "The overly Cuban guy" he's not Cuban, but he only wears brightly colored Guayabera shirts and dances like he's one of the original members of The Buena Vista Social Club. #5 "The routine guy" he might be a good dancer, but he's trying to reenact some moves from a super complicated routine that he's working on for his next competition. #6 "The off beat guy" the girl can't figure out if he's on 1 or 2, is he even dancing to the song that's currently playing ? #7 "The hypnotizer" it's important to keep eye contact to be a good lead but this guy takes it a step further by creepily staring into the girls soul the entire dance. #8"The super Hero" he doesn't have the best physique but he wears really tight black t-shirts with his chest puffed out, waiting to be noticed instead of just politely asking a girl to dance. #9 "The puppy dog" He follows the only girl he knows the entire night, he's a super sweet guy that might be just learning Salsa so he lacks the confidents to ask other girls to dance. #10 Last but not least "Dragon breath".

There's a girl in my salsa class that does that and it's so annoying.
I wanted to add the "Fitness Class" salsa dancer. She dances like she's in an aerobics class. Or the Rock Dancer/Breakdancer. The guy that does Top Rock Shuffles.
The lazy bum had me laughing sooo hard..lol..lol .

Thanks for the tips! I'll make sure to incorporate "the bum", "the look at me" and the infini-spinner in to my routine. Space invader and groper are already two of my staples next to the "can I have yo' numbah"

You got nearly a million views, let's go for 10 million. Better dancers more fun. Thank you for posting. In ballroom dancing they say that dancers make better lovers. Salseros cannot fail, but IMPROVE.
I just started dancing and have encountered SEVERAL of these men!!
I looked at the thumbnail for this vid about ten times and thought WTF, they're picking on the poor souls who aren't very good dancers yet...and then something told me I should just go ahead and watch it. Surprise, surprise - it's very instructive, a terrific lesson on what not to do on the floor. And of course it's not about not-so-good dancers at all, but rather is choreographed to a t-cross and an i-dot. All in all, very well done, kudos to ya!
Just one thing, though: I find that these "ten anti-lessons" can be applied to almost any kind of dancing and not just to salsa. What would you think about re-titling along the lines of "ten worst club dancers" or some such. It might get you a well-deserved much larger audience, and Lord knows there are dancers of every kind of dance that could learn from it. Thanks for making it and thanks for posting!

Similar to gas leak, swamp ass is an increasing problem for both men/women. Also, people who wipe their nose or mouth and then hold out their hand to dance with you ( both men and women do this, which is why I'm the hand sanitizer guy ;).
