- GOOD HUNTING is a new short film made with Unreal Engine. It is the first piece of Project Metamorph.art, which aims to provide UE-native AAA cinematic-quality characters for the community. The asset was built using the latest metahuman deep customization by David Jiang.
We hope that by providing easy and free access to high-quality characters in UE, we can help other creators to visualize their own unique ideas and stories, and expand them into more cinematic worlds.

How in the actual hell did you animate that jacket going on - all the other stuff is amazing but THAT PART BLEW MY MIND - most AAA games avoid showing people get dressed! I wouldnt know the first thing about the cloth moving in a natural way.

Han I’d love to know how you managed to get grooms to look good with depth of field! Or is this all path traced? I really hope Epic fixes grooms with shallow depth of field WITHOUT having to render our scenes for 3 days 😂

Not sure I'll get an answer, but you talk about deep customization of the metahumans. What do you mean by that? Like more a more custom face and body? Or are we talking about the clothing etc?
I tried to create a metahuman of myself (3 times lol), but none of them look like me. I tried it with a friend, and the results were stunning.
So I'lm trying to find a way so I can use a custom model of my head with metahumans. That would be awesome if I can get it to look like me and be able to use metahuman animator.
Btw, anyone going to Siggraph next week?

@@UnrealhanI think maybe it’s the short haircut of the main guy that makes lumen work ok with shallow dof + grooms? Anything I try with wispier hairdos always ‘shimmers’ - and the workarounds (layer renders etc) just look bad to me
