- In this video I'll be putting forward my ideas for a LEGO Dimensions sequel game, discussing the logisitics, levels, vehicles, characters and everything in between. Let me know in the comments which franchises you would like to see in the game, and whether you like my picks, such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Shrek, Despicable Me and more!

I would love to see the ghostbusters afterlife and frozen empire pack where you explore egons house and town of Summerville Oklahoma and frozen iced up version of New York and Team Fortress 2 and Doctor Who and Minecraft and Indiana Jones in Lego Dimensions 2

Honestly, I would go in a different direction. I was thinking if they brought it back, they should do actual Lego sets to keep in line with them of creativity, and I would make it so you dont have to own the game to enjoy the product obviously they'll would be a way to make it interact with the game but still it gives people that option. Also, I think it would be interesting if all the sets had a way to combine with each other to build your own lego dimension.

Dimensions needed a wider customer base and to be friendlier to both Lego and customers.
As long as the playsets and game don’t feel gate kept by the other; this dimensions has the potential to be better than the Lego Mario range.
I really hope LEGO Dimensions comes back and gets a year 3. And I even hope Lord Vortech becomes playable as he was promised to become a physical minifigure and a playable character. I've been waiting 7 years for this awesome toys-to-life game to make a comeback and have a season 3.

I'd get as many game developers as I could to make Lego Dimensions Season 3 possible through any means necessary.

LEGO Dimensions was peak of whole company. I hope they'll bring it back to us at some way. LEGO is canon to Fortnite, so is it difficult to connect LEGO Dimensions lore with other media ?
I would go as far as to say fortnite IS a sort of lego dimensions 2. Even though it's not the same at all.

If they did make a sequel to this game I feel like they would likely cut the physical toys to life aspect and just have it be a huge crossover game. But I wouldn’t be against them continuing with the toy pad gimmick
Honestly, I would make Dimensions 2 a non toys to life game, If they could make it like a traditional lego game and do tie in sets for the franchises it would be amazing

Making it toys-to-life was, in my opinion, the nail in the coffin for Dimensions. If they were to bring it back, having it play like a normal LEGO game would keep it from failing again.
Figures from the first game still being usable is a must though, just not mandatory
Exactly. Another problem was that it came out as the toys to life market was starting to wind down. Disney canceled Infinity not long after dimensions came out and Skylanders also went under.
i mean why not just make a nomral game then do level pack dlcs then just toys
I say if they continue or make a new game for lego dimensions to keep th toys to life aspect since it let's you have figures that don't have minifigures already, plus ip's are super expensive so it allows the game to be continued for longer.

Lego dimensions was my first [non mobile] game I ever played so I would be so happy for this to happen
One thing that I would have loved in Dimensions would be a custom character creator where you get to build your character using a whole bunch of minifigure pieces that they give you. Another idea is the character from the level builder from Harry Potter years 1-4 and Indiana Jones the Adventure Continues.
Realistically, instead of a sequel to avoid confusing customers, it should be a remake/reimagining that reuses the original story with extra elements of the gameplay and story added (similar to RE 1-4, Yakuza Kiwami 1&2 and FFVII Remake) and even WAYYYYY more franchises than the original game. There’d also be a DLC story expansion.

For “Looney Tunes”, I’d pay for a Daffy Duck Fun Pack (or Team Pack if you choose to pair him with Bugs Bunny or Porky Pig). I also would suggest giving Daffy a lot of abilities such as diving underwater and the glide ability as himself, but can change into Duck Dodgers and Green Loontern for more abilities such as flying, Lego constructs, regeneration, and so on.
I got into this game super late. As of January 2024, I had bought the starter pack for the Wii U after my nephew found the Fantastic Beasts story pack at a garage sale and had brought it to me. It made me remember the game, so I tried it and fell in love with it.
Over the months, I've bought so many sets over Amazon and I only wished I was there for the craze back in 2015. If the game does return, and I really hope it does, I could finally not be restricted to purchased overpriced sets over internet retailers.
Jurassic World but now having Claire and Owen in a team Pack. Maisie in a fun pack and Kayla also in a Fun Pack
I still miss lego dimensions a lot.
I am 65 years old and have just got back into LEGO Dimensions on the Wii U. I now play it with my grandkids. I would love to see a Lego dimensions 2 with everything mentioned. I don't mind anything about the way the game is played. It makes the kids think about how to do the puzzles. Just keep the prices low enough to be affordable.

Inside Out 2 can be a story pack where the portal is headquarters, the vehicle would be Bing Bongs Wagon, and the Characters would be Joy and Anxiety. The Team packs can be other emotions like Envy and Disgust.
I hope Monsterverse (with Godzilla and Kong) will be added to the game.
DreamWorks' _Tales of Arcadia_ would've been a perfect franchise to add to Dimensions, or even have a game of its own. *Here's why:*
*-* The world of the franchise would make for an amazing hubworld, with Arcadia Oaks, Heartstone Trollmarket, Arkiridion-5, Camelot, Metro City, Dragon Trollmarket, the Darklands, and Gatto's Keep as potential locations.
*-* The series has 21 major characters that people would want to play as. These would include Jim Lake Jr., Toby Domzalski, Claire Nuñez, Blinky Galadrigal, AAARRRGGHH!!!, Aja Tarron, Krel Tarron, Varvatos Vex, Steve Palchuk, Eli Pepperjack, Douxie Casperan, Merlin Ambrosius, Archie, Stuart, Stricklander, Draal, Morgana, King Arthur, NotEnrique, Nomura, and Barbara Lake. Of course, it would probably be narrowed down from there.
*-* Since people are split on the ending for the movie finale, a continuation could allow some fans to have the closure they want.
*-* If the hubworld or level(s) recycle music from the franchise, it'll be some of the best music in the game.
If Lego Dimensions had its own movie, it would have to retcon a few elelemts from Lego Movie 2, like have Rex Dangervest be revealed he isnt Emmet's future counterpart, but rather an android clone created by Lord Vortech, in which he was built to desteoy the Lego Movie timeline, and had his memory programed to think he's really Emmet.
Much like in the vains of, Skeletor/Keldor in Masters of the Universe: Revolution.

As much as I'd like to see Lego Dimesmions return, the "Toys to Life" era ended long ago. But then again stranger things have happened.

Great concept, wish they would've followed through with this. Would've loved to have seen collabs with The Matrix, Godzilla/King Kong, Big Hero 6, Avatar, as well as Men In Black.
If Lego dimensions does comeback, I would also love to see Kung fu panda since including shrek and how to train your dragon opens up the opportunity for kung fu panda characters to join in. I would have Po, tigress, zhen and master shifu be the minifigures that are released especially since the movies mainly focus on them. I would say Po, tigress, and master shifu would be in a team pack and zhen would have a connectable pack. Another franchise I would love to see is SpongeBob as having SpongeBob in Lego dimensions would open up the possibility for Lego SpongeBob to comeback. I would have SpongeBob, Patrick, and plankton as a team pack where it opens up a level where you can play the events of the first SpongeBob movie, and have sandy, squidward, and Mr. Krabs all have connectables.
One thing I wish we could have done in Lego Dimensions is to change the outfit of the Ninjago characters like we could change which Doctor we were playing as (without the changing upon dying thing). The Ninjas have had many cool outfits throughout the series
Indiana Jones would be great to see in it and would be really popular. Plus Lego has a good relationship with them.

For the Doctor Who 15 and 13 pack, I think it would be better if 13 was replaced by 14. 13 would just be added to the roster of previous doctors. As for Missy, she has also regenerated over time so having Missy should give us access to the other versions of her similar to the doctor.
After the LEGO Jurassic Park game literally ended with a LEGO Dimensions teaser, only for that world to not even be featured in the main story, bringing back the franchise for a Dimensions sequel feels very much needed. However, rather than either of the movie trilogies I think it'd be cool to have a world based on Camp Cretaceous or Chaos Theory. Then you'd have a character pack of Darius, Kenji & Brooklyn, and a second one with Sammy, Yaz and Ben (and throw in Bumpy too because of course).
Oh my lord the Horizon zero dawn/forbidden west, collaboration would be a dream come true!!!

When I was like 5, I sent a letter to TT games about how Lego Dimensions 2 could be, they sent me another letter saying that they couldn't do it because they were working in other proyects, but with the letter, came a Green arrow figure

I think if they did another Lego Dimensions, it couldn't be toys to life unless it was an optional thing. Otherwise, it would just fail again because the packs would have to cost *even more.*
I think the best option would be to make the characters and vehicles DLC's and make the toy packs come with codes for them.

Would the Lego Dimensions year 3 Missy fun pack have all the Masterʼs regenerations like the Doctor, including from the old series?
I actually am unfamiliar with the old one. Did the Master have a T.A.R.D.I.S. of his own?
The actual figure for the "Missy pack" would probably be the current version of the Master, but like the Doctor, they would be able to regenerate into all the other versions of the Master including Missy. Cool video nonetheless!

Lego Dimensions 2 would be amazing! Bring back DC comics, Scooby-Doo, Sonic, Lord Of The Rings, Lego Movie, Lego Batman, Lego City, and Harry Potter! Franchies that should be added are Star Wars, Marvel, Looney Tunes, SpongeBob Squarepants, Cyberpunk, Halo, Family Guy, Infamous, Krypto & Ace, and Horizon.

Hopeful if they make a lego dimensions 2 we can actually play as a dalek instead just using a dalek a like a vehicle.
This is like fantasy football, but for gamers. i love it!
The only vehicles I thought were worth using due to their extra uses are tails’ plane (because sonic can ride on it) and the tardis partly because the doctor was one of if not the most important character in the story but also because of the interior and exterior extra functions of the vehicle, allowing you to time travel with those little time travel bits and the way you can effect the doctors appearance and travel to other worlds in the doctor who world.

Almost the complete collection. I regret grabbing some of the packs when they were on clearance. But I still love this game to this day.
I would want an expansion for the sonic Lego dimensions pack with tails, knuckles, Amy, shadow, and rouge

A franchise that I think would be intresting to include in The game is assassin's creed, imagine a fun pack with ezio auditore and The da vinci flying machine, a history pack with an altair mini figure and a polyback with Edward kenway, arno dorian or connor kenway, also something related to hellboy, transformers, regular show and even john wick would be amazing.
Yknow what I would pay millions to see? Undertale in Lego Dimensions.
They could also put characters from their own games like they did with Chase McCain

for my take on Dimensions 2, I went a more realistic route (aka, nothing from Disney or on Disney+ (and the game would *not* be toys-to-life, rather Dimensions sets would release alongside the game, with codes for faster unlocks))

If there is a new Dimensions game, I’d want to see Gandalf be replaced by another magic user because he was both annoying and useless. Other characters with the same skills as Gandalf the Useless could use the abilities much faster and better. Worlds I want to see are Steven Universe, Dexter’s Lab, TMNT, Shrek, Megamind, and Family Guy.
Honestly, if I were to base on how you were basing the packs (if I mess it up, my apologies), here’s what I would do for the MCU.

I would have liked to see Speed Racer added to Dimensions! The Mach-5 is one of only a few iconic automobiles from screen that didn’t get the Dimensions treatment.
My thought would have been a team pack: Speed with the Mach 5 and Spridal with a buildable Chim-Chim!
I feel like if Lego Dimensions were to rerelease without the toys to life feature would be EPIC
It would depend on the licensing since I think most of the franchises they were able to get were due to the fact physical lego would be made of them as well. Which helped sway the companies to give Lego and WB the license
Honestly they should revive this with a differentl branded sequel (to sound more unique and explain changes) this could be called lego multiverses cause of the multiverse being a well known a relatively popular thing at the moment, this would keep the same idea of Lego dimensions but Remove requirement of owning physical characters and discs allowing the game to have a digital edition and make it so in game you have 3 characters for free who will be the main characters and there would be a whole unique storyline but this game will bring back many franchises from the first and could even recycle characters but adjust some of their mechanics to suit the new game, to unlock characters you could have the same packs system but this would be a digital pack with a limtied amount of free packs you can get for finishing the story perhaps 3 free packs but if one of these is a level pack then it will only be the level pack that you can get, these packs could also be cheaper as they will have no physical form to manufacture and post
A Franchise I would like to see in a Lego Dimensions sequel would Ghost in the Shell, as I think that it would be cool to have franchise based in Cyberpunk genre. And I think that it could either consist of a story or Level pack with Major Motoko Kusanagi and Batou and maybe some other team packs to have other members of Section 9. Such as maybe one with Togusa, Ishikawa and Chief Aramaki and the other having Saito, Borma and Pazu and maybe a Connectsbles pack with Purin Esaki and a small buildable Tachikoma. Or if it was just to be one pack, then just a Team pack consisting of The Major, Batou & Togusa. Although, I highly doubt this would ever happen because one we’ll probably not get a Lego Dimensions sequel, two, Ghost in the Shell is a cult franchise and probably isn’t widely well known compared to something like Marvel, DC, Star Wars etc. and three GITS is rather mature and I guess fourthly might be difficult for Lego to dabble in anime franchises, although I think it would be rather cool to see anime franchise in Lego.
I would love to keep portal and Ghostbusters in the game. They were pretty cool
I even hope Looney Tunes gets added too.
Fantastic job on the video, I agree with some of your packs like Dune and Parties of the C. But I do want some others that have never been into Lego or some in Lego want. Here is my list of that could work in the Lego Dimensions sequel:
1# Aardman Animations: Wallace & Gromit as a team pack or even a level pack from The Curse of the Were-Rabbit film.
2# Percy Jackson & The Olympians the book series: Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood as a Story Pack with all five books into one.
3# More of Midway Arcade stories because the level pack from Gamer Kid didn't really connect to what Lord Vortex was doing there. I want to explore what was happening and why Vortex did exactly?
4# Super Mario Bros with Mario & Luigi as a level or a story pack from the film or as a different thing like the Sonic level pack.
5# Undertale or Deltarune as level or a team pack with Sans & Papyrus.
That is my opinion to see this for the sequel. Hope you like it! :)

i think having a doctor and a companion as the doctor who level pack would be more fitting, as the doctor's abilities would be mostly the same between regenerations, so having two separate characters for the doctor feels a bit redundant because they're basically the same
Here's a list of packs i would like to see (going by the first game's format since i don't really agree with yours)
Lego Spongebob Squarepants. It would have a level pack with spongebob himself, with a patty wagon vehicle and grill gadget. The level would be based on the first episode
MCU. My idea was to have Captain America in the starter pack, and then fun packs for different marvel characters. Like the DC Comics dimension.
The Lego Movie 2. Have thhat version of Wyldstyle in the starter pack, then there could be a queen watevrawanabi and general mayhem team pack. And a rex dangervest fun pack.
Avatar (blue people). This isnt really something i want, moreso something i could see happen. Putting Jake Sully in the starter pack or something to replace gandalf.
Persona 5. Some sort of level pack in the same vein as the sonic level pack.
Team Fortress 2. If they could get Portal 2, they could get TF2. I could see a lot of team packs and fun packs based on the different classes.
Angry Birds. Could be a Red level pack based on the 2016 movie. Along with a team pack with Chuck and Bomb.
Mortal Kombat. May be too violent, but its a WB property. Packs would be fun packs with various characters.
I would have replaced the 13th Doctor Minifig with Ruby Sunday that way the 15th doctor could regenerate into every other previous doctor (1-14) and include the curator and the fugitive, war and shalka doctors as secret incarnations or something to that effect (Could even have the timeless child incarnations or the morbius doctors too). While Ruby could cycle between past companions that are tie into their respective doctor (for example, Rose pairs well with 9, Martha with 10, Amy with 11, Clara with 12, Yaz with 13, Donna with 14, etc.)

I would like to see tf2, Medic⛑️ and Heavy🦍 as a level pack, Engineer🔧 as a conectibel with a sentry/teleporter/dispenser and Scout🧢, Spy🕵️♂️ and Demoman💣 as a team pack and Sniper🎯, Soldier🪖 and Pyro🔥 as an auther team pack. They will speak the same as the goofy animations on RUclips.
I would also like to see fnaf in LD (LEGO Dimensions). Freddy, and Foxy in a level pack, Endo1, Vanessa(can be turned into a security guard from the firsts games) and Puppet/Marionette, as team pack and William Afton/Springtrap/Purpul guy with his midnight motorist car as a conectibel pack and,(for real), mustard Freddy team-up with Bonnie and Chica. All fnaf characters can change into all their appearance trew the games(like Dr.Who) like Endo1 turned into Endo2, Endo Plush, Yendo, Nigntmare Endo, Enard, Molten Freddy, Glamrock Endo and Mimic. In the Hacking segments and midway arcade they will be something resembling the 8-bit versions.
With these two franchises I'm proposing having an undertal and Deltarun representation a Chara, Noël Holiday and Frisk team pack, Sans, Papyrus and Toriel team pack and an Kris, Susie and Ralsey.

2:47 If you do a story pack, like they did for Ghostbusters and Lego Batman the portal build should be eliminated or severely scaled back. Like just change the ring of the portal not the whole set up on the nfc reader/base like they did in the past. You need to really lower the cost as the story packs were $50 usd not $30 like you suggested.

Great vid, if i were to add 4 franchises (using your pack ideas) i would add tf2 with 2 team packs a story pack(with saxton hale) and a conectible engineer pack. Beverly hills cop level pack, family guy with a team pack with peter lois and the giant chicken, a team pack with meg criss and brian, and a conectible stewie pack, finaly i would add futurama as a level pack with fry leela and bender.

Honestly we need some more CN characters but with CN going down I would only assume to add characters from Steaven universe, Fiona and Cake, Regular show, The amazing world of Gumball it is sad to see that lego dimensions is gone now I literally played that game most of my childhood because it was that peak and honestly if they were still doing collaborations I think the game would still be living to this day from 2016-2024

Everyone remembers when they first built the portal before they could play the game. Absolute nostalgia would love to do it again but i dont have a reason to buy a second one

I hope Batman would be able to collide in this theoretical version. It felt kind of weird to me that he couldn’t glide in gameplay but then he was able to glide in the cut scenes (luckily they remedied that problem with the Lego Batman movie skin, but it would’ve been nice if that was a part of the normal Batman as well)
id love to see jurassic park. And maybe if disney is involved, then marvel or star wars would be amazing. I would main the heck out of puss in boots. I would enjoy mashup levels where if you were to pair one character from a franchise with another, youd get a "remix" type level where they meet up together. (E.G if you had fred and peter venkman then youd have a level where the ghost busters have to help mystery inc clear out a mansion of ghosts). Another thing id do is release a 3 pack of frodo, robin, and metal beard and they will unlock the next chapter of the story.
Id also definitely add dorothy, tin man, and lion as a story pack because witch alone is strange.
With Star Wars, I'd love an Andor pack.
If they were to have the Main 3 (Batman Gandalf and Wyldstyle) have updated armor I think Batman should have the armor from the newer Batman movies and Wyldstyle should’ve have the outfit from Lego Movie 2 where it’s the apocalypse I’m not sure what Gandalf would have

I feel like having both 15 and 13 would be kind of a waste of figures. I would instead suggest having 15 and either maestro with a piano for a build or Ruby Sunday with sutekh as a build
Since the original game came out, I’ve been hoping for an Avatar: the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra world. But more than that I’d love a Steven Universe world.
If I were the lead director of Year 3’s development, I would add all of the franchises that were rumoured to be in Year 3 at the time and not add any new or recent LEGO franchises from today. But I would look into the LEGO games released around the time of LEGO Dimensions to see any unused game puzzles or mechanics so they can become used in the form of unique abilities for the different characters of Year 3. But that’s a cool idea of having newer franchises added to Dimensions, such as Dune and Horizon (I can totally imagine an interaction between Betelgeuse and Paul mentioning sand worms lol). Also, I’m not entirely onboard with your concept for story packs, because a story pack is supposed to be an entire movie played out across 6 levels, they’re not supposed to be several movies fit into a single level each… but I guess the idea could still work, it’s not like it’s an official rule u gotta follow when making fan content. It’s such a shame that the game had to be cancelled, especially when we were so close to getting Minecraft and a Lego Shrek into the game. I hope it eventually returns in one way or another. We know that Multiversus, another Warner Bros crossover game exists, and you never no if WB Games could pull out a character from an old video game IP, aka Lord Vortech, a multiverse character who would fit perfectly into the game. We just have to sit, wait, hope and pray that WB considers reviving Dimensions 🤞
Maybe 1 vehicle should be included to replace the Batmobile, I was thinking Wildsyle's motorcycle. Maybe we can get the really iconic vehicles of a franchise that can't be missed instead of a connectable in a "connectable pack", and change it into an "accessory pack", a figure and a gadget/connectable/vehicle.
