In my opinion the FD is the most beautiful Japanese car of all time (I think only the Toyota 2000 GT and original Mazda Cosmo could really argue with that). The fact that it is also unique in its powertrain and, engine besides, is one of the best drivers cars perhaps ever built and I can't help but believe that they are profoundly under valued. If they had any one of the three they would be special, but combining it all together, and sprinkling in the fact that it has meaningful racing pedigree and I cannot understand how they aren't six figure cars already.

One of the most beautiful cars in the world. Its looks will never age. To hear the man critique the design of your car sounds like he is ready to jump back on the wagon with Mazda. The level of attention he pays to the smallest details is amazing.
To those that say Rob is milking this thing. I have fallen out of watching other youtubers because they put out too much content that's made for people with ADD. It's always a different car every week. It always has to be something different to keep viewers engaged. These other youtubers are like comic books, short and fun. But you guys are more relatable to an epic book series. You make me wonder, laugh, cry and appreciate the long journey that is this car.
Watching you guys work on this machine over the years makes me feel that I can work on my dream car too. The pace is more realistic and comparable to how long it would take me to do a simple engine swap with no past experience. Not being able to understand 90% of what you talk about makes me want to grab a wrench and get stuck in the same conundrum. Thank you all for the hard work and sharing of your wisdom. Keep doing you, it's working and many viewers appreciate it.

Holy cow, that "interview" with the designer was incredible. And from my personal experience, this guy shares a certain kind of "technical artisan" personality, that are just the most interesting people to talk to. You are not a design expert, but in your own small way you tackled the same kind of technical design challenge that was this guy's whole career, so he really seemed interested in what you were trying to do. Amazing!

Talking to the designer highlights a massive point about personal vision, in that it demonstrates that you're not going to "impress" a designer by compromising with their design when you adapt it. So cool to get such direct feedback in an honest and encouraging spirit, there wasn't a hint of criticism.

--For the speedometer you've got running as digital and analog, with my very limited experience, I've found using gun oil works rather well with lubricating the gears and moving parts, keeping things running smoothly - but be careful not to over-lubricate it (I did it to mine, and had to clean it and start over).
-Btw, If anybody else knows more about these, I'd love suggestions & advice on them as well~

Just a history lesson Rob from a former rotary magazine writer:
    767B - 20B
    787B - 26B
They attempted LeMans with the 767B but it wasn't powerful enough to compete with the Nissan R89C, Sauber C9 and the Jaguar XJR-9. Hence the swap from the 20B to the 26B. The rest is history, 787B wins in 1991. 👍
