Sorry my English is not strong, I just registered in Etsy and I am a digital artist (no AI) I just want to know if I draw for example like the style of Picasso or Jean-Michel Basquiat, Do I have the right to describe their name on the title, tags, description of my digital works?
Based on what I have seen and read, I would say it is best not to mention any of these artists. We may be inspired by these artists but we have to make sure that our creations are original and 100% ours alone. No copying other artists at all or we might get red-flagged or even kicked off from the Etsy platform. Just my thoughts.
It is always best to avoid using names (such as celebrities, styles, brands, etc) in your Etsy listings as most of the time, the Etsy algorithm will see these as counterfeit, copies, or theft. So it's best to avoid names. However, you can use words to describe your art that fans of Picasso, or any artist, might relate to that initially piqued their interest with that artist; IE bold colors, dreamy landscapes, etc. I would not use these words in the title of the listing, rather I would use them in the tags. so regarding images mentioned at the end. do you recommend always filling out all pictures ? and creating a video? or are lets say 5 pi-6 pictures enough?
Would it help to add as many niche related keywords as possible in the description and let ChatGPT write a human readable story out of it or am I missing the point then because the human readability is meant for the conversion rate?

Such a great insight about Google search leading to Etsy and then NOT back to Google. Love that. One of our goals in 2024 is to increase Google SEO exposure. So much talk these days about social media platforms like FB, Pinterest, TikTok, IG, etc. Etsy rewards sellers 4% for social media backlinks. Yes, social media all have search engines. But the largest search engine by a huge factor? - Google. #2? RUclips. Who owns RUclips? Google. I'd be really interested in content from you (or anyone) about how to increase rank on Google. Thanks as always!
Since Etsy already has a great domain authority there's an extremely high chance you're going to rank highly on google for any relevant keywords anyway.
For most sellers trying to optimize traffic from external search doesn't make much sense, at least until you've maximized everything INSIDE of the Etsy platform.
Once you've done that, if you want to try to rank something in external search, you'd be much better served focusing on your own site, rather than a single etsy listing.

Please answer, If someone makes multiple etsy accounts on his same details, if for any reason one of account gets suspended, will it effect other accounts as well?
Having multiple accounts is perfectly ok, but any issues can result in suspensions across all accounts
But Etsy still cannot tell the difference between wool vs. cotton, or knit vs. crochet. Grey/grày material tends to get shown as 'metal'. Round items get shown as balls.
The bots arent really as smart as Etsy says.
I totally agree. When you run adds then you realize how dumb their algorithm is. I am being shown for so many irrelevant words, it’s not even real 😢😢
