Wow! Didn't expect a reaction to Bucovina. They're one of my favorite bands. You pronounce it like this: Boo-ko-vee-nah. Indeed, the theme and lyrics of this particular song are quite emotionally heavy, especially when you know the context. And you showed great amount of respect. Their usual songs are just as beautiful, quite poetic and melodic and are about nature, mountains, mythic times long gone, particularly in the Romanian region of Bucovina (hence the band name). Some great songs I particularly love (sadly there aren't official videos for all): Straja ("The Watch", metal cover of the folk song "Cântă cucu-n Bucovina", basically anthem to the region itself, really powerful tune) Spune tu, Vânt ("Tell me, oh Wind", a heavy ballad about the wind and its travels) Mestecăniș (Name of a mountain pass in Bucovina, really great opening chant, awesome melody, anthem chorus, heavy) Ultima Iarnă ("The Last Winter", a heavy ballad about an old wolf. Epic chords. I find the lyrics almost as sad and beautiful as the one you just listened) Dă-mi mâna, Toamnă (”Give me your hand, oh Autumn", very fun, lively song, a love letter to the season) Șoim în văzduh ("Hawk in the sky", anthem to hawks and nostalgia) La Apus ("At Sunset", very poetic lyrics - "At sunset, smoldering embers descend; They flood my eyes with rusts of iron", sounds better in Romanian lol) Cheers from Romania!
The fire at Club Colectiv took place on October 30 2015... Adrian wasn't in the band, but he was there as a spectator in the audience, playing that night. The walls of the club was covered with Polyeurathane and caught fire because the pyro the band used (which was Not meant for indoors gigs but more for outdoors gigs and festivals) but I digress.
