Great work on the video. With 10,000 people that would average out to be just over 3,000 attendees per day that show must have been awesome, the last time I attended one of their shows at Bowling Green there was probably a total of 1,000 attendees for both the Friday and Saturday event. Hope they continue to grow again because it would be great to have another operating equipment show to attend!
2500 Friday and 7500 Saturday not sure about Sunday
I'm glad there was a good turnout Frank! 😁👍 Always enjoy seeing that iron in action, thanks for sharing. Have fun and happy wrenching on your projects 🔧🔩
thanks zane. i had a blast at the show. you'll have to take a drive sometime to one of them
looks like a good show frank. it would be great is when had something larger like that in Australia
Jim Gangle has some really nice old machines!
Yes they do
Spent all day Saturday at the show, gonna be volunteering in the restoration shop now
Excellent to hear! If I was closer I would help out more. I do what I can during the show
Enjoyed this bro so thanks for letting us tag along. Good to see a young one giving it a go too. Safe travels. Ken.
that young man is pretty skilled!
Being a retired HDR/W Union Cat Mechanic, worked the dealers, from the early 60's up until 20 years ago,
I worked on A models, 2U, all that old iron, not so much with the shovels. especially the really old stuff.
need to acquire a 666 push pull scraper, I made my living maintaining a fleet of the 666's in CA. My first in counter with the 666 was ion 75, in Texas, SJ Groves had several of them, I inherited the scrapers. McCoy and Sons out of CA owned them, although I don't see where anyone is using them any longer.
we still see them around here occasionally in eastern PA
I used to run the old pony start 31's, 222G's, TS-14 and 24's and a 613 and an S-7 some but liked the 6, 7 and 8H a lot better. Thanks Frank and God Bless
you've got quite the Resume!
I did this plus chauffur/CDL driving for a dab over 50 years and ran/drove everything I could run off with and worked a zillion jobs. Had 3 or 4 W-2's in one year. All I've ever done!@@73DiamondReo
Wonderful.

Good to hear. We need to get more people involved with it
Really nice to see some wheeled scraper pushloading action!
That's a spiify 3500, is it the museum's?
yup its a museum piece
With good operator I think the cycle time on the old shovels is just as fast as a modern hydraulic excavator.
ive thought this could be the case depending on the machine
@@73DiamondReo The Lima.might have been moving faster than a hydraulic machine!
New ingectors needed
Love your videos and content. I would love to hear just a little narration during your show videos. So much of the equipment is hard to tell the make model. When I was 3 years old, they installed new storm drains and pipe, and I will never forget watching a cable shovel work next to our house. My mother could barely keep me out of the way! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us.
ive heard many stories like this that got people hooked on a certain brand. ill try to narrate more and i appreciate the comment as well as kind words.
interesting controls on the Marion 21..... i didnt see any brake pedals?
It has a hoist brake, crowd is held automatically when control is centered
They should park that 631, what a smoke show! just burning the pistons, not impressive at all! That 9 sure isn't any better!
For the couple hours it will run every year or two it will be fine. Can only do so much with the limited volunteers and I think people would rather see the equipment moving than static.
