- My review and analysis of the high evolutionary from Guardians of the Galaxy 3. The Marvel Cinematic universe is home to a lot of good villains recently Thanos, but what side of the aisle does the High Evolutionary fall on? What score will I give him 1-10? Time to find out.

That movie was just... the best time I had with the MCU in quite a while ! The Hight Evolutionary was an amazing antagonist !
I love the scene where HE is sitting with Toddler Rocket on his knee, praising his intelligence and teaching him about music and philosophy. Then he clutches Rocket's skull like an apple for emphasis and you can see the creeping horror on Rocket's face.
Great scene
It perfectly establishes what High Evolutionary is all about.
It's something every person can pick up on. We recognise the sort of parental dynamic instantly, then it gets quickly shattered when we see that he isn't very delicate with what appears to be a baby animal. That little squeeze is enough to ell us, he doesn't really care if Rocket is hurt or not. Fantastic acting
I love this film, everything is near perfect, and the High Evolutionary is one of MCU most vile and cruel villain. Chukwudi Iwuji gave us a great performance, I know a lot of people complain how much he screams and yells, but I think that's reflected his desperation, frustration and imperfection (ironically), he's a mad scientist with a superiority complex who will do anything to achieve his ideal of perfection. He's manipulative, cruel and kind of sadistic. He put everyone down and make himself look good, he won't let anyone better than him, especially his own creation. His dynamic with Rocket is the best part of the film.
Well said.
Honestly, seeing High Evolutionary get beaten to a pulp at the end of the film is so satisfying, regardless of whether or not he puts up a good fight. That dude was so horrible that he definitely deserved it.
You put a good word on this character. Pride.
“Twice the pride, double the fall.”
- Count Dooku, Revenge Of The Sith.
This guy is a fantastic villain.
You ironically made this when I was binge watching videos on him
Glad to be a part of the binge
Great villian. Nothing scarier than self-righteous bullies who wants to perfect the world to their own image and liking. Very scary...
This is one the best MCU villains to come out in a while. Just a purely evil asshole who deserved to get taken down. And it was so satisfying to see Rocket and the rest of the Guardians kick his ass near the end of the movie.
In the end, he could not accept that Rocket evolved beyond him in a way he couldn’t control.
Exactly
James Gunn truly understands how to make Villains Evil that making the Misunderstood and Relatable, the High Evolutionary is the perfect example of a Mad Scientist that will do everything to create his own Utopia even if he willing to redefine Nature into Monstrosities, he’s the Most Evil MCU Villain that it will be impossible to Top.
it is amazing.
he's not powerful as thanos, but he was more cruel and sadist than Thanos.
He makes Thanos look like a saint.

I just rewatched Gaurdians Vol 3 and it made me teary eyed especially scenes with Rocket. I came to realise The High Evolutionary is a mad scientist And Narcissist
Villain Review: The Fabrication Machine aka B.R.A.I.N (from the Movie „9“). Please
I gotta watch it soon
High Evolutionary is scary, because he doesn’t have a sympathetic or understandable motive for his actions, like the other MCU villains. Everything he does is for the sake of his own ego.
It’s weird how refreshing that is.
So did Thanos
@@JDog2656 True, but in his case, the movie tries to sell you on the idea that his actions, while deplorable, have logical intentions behind them. It’s only at the end when his egotistical intentions are fully revealed. By contrast, the actions of the High Evolutionary are established as selfish and ill-intentioned from the beginning.
@@JDog2656not really
I love your video’s so mutch can you please do a villain review on Negan hè is my 4 favorite villain ever Made
Gotta catch up but yeah I will eventually
You should Review Megatron/Unicorn From Transformer Prime show
I think the fight where they take the H.E. out makes sense the way it is. It's not 2 gods fighting each other. It's 1 enhanced mortal being taken down by an armed team of 7. One is a tree with lots of strength and reach and 3 (Gamora, Nebula and Rocket) are enhanced as well.
Can you do a villain review on Azulín from Unicorn Wars
Imma be honest. Never heard of it
@@jayfilms99 you should Watch It if you have the time Is a very good movie
Please review the joker from the arkham😊
Princess looma villian Review
My favorite High Evolutionary Moment was when his Assistant called him out and trying to convince him to stop:
Assistant: "Sire, you have an irrational obsession with this animal! You must stop, for God's sake-"
H.E: *"THERE IS NO GOD, THAT'S WHY I STEPPED IN!!"*
I love this moment, because that's when even his own subjects, his most loyal I might add, have officially turned on their own so-called God. I find this moment immeasurably satisfying, given that he has committed so many atrocities all in the name of perfection.
Locus from Red Vs Blue would be cool
The High Evolutionary needed a Dr. Doofenshmirtz type backstory
Except not played for laughs or sympathy.
He just fit the paragon and see he never says the name for his creation even though he gave the term rocket, then you win crying well how did he miss it because the odds are 0 to win that encounter. Ronan was the villain with Ego just being insane and the High Evolutionary just being space ahab
how convenient for our heroes that the villain forgot he could defeat everyone with a wave of his hand during their final showdown.
He's played by mark Hamill
😀
DC is in good hands
Please 🙏😊
You said in your “Who is the 4th Most Iconic Super Hero? (IRON MAN? HULK?)” 👨 🦸 video that you don’t read comics. Does that mean that you’re not going to fulfill my Comic Villain Review 🦹 suggestions by reading 📖 comics. Why did you say in your first Villain Review 🦹♂️ that your reviews include comics?
Games 😀
Nah it was very obvious his motive. He wanted to be God. He wanted to be seen as God. A creator.
That's right the high evolutionary was a furry
I hate how boring this costume is. Feels more like a low level goon than a big bad.
james gunn is a legend
