Alright lads, first of all let me explain the delay behind this video. My sister last night gave birth to her beautiful baby daughter and I have become an uncle for the first time in my life, haha! Okay, so enjoy this video now! And oh, please pray for my family too. :)
The scene where chris pratt refuses to give up on saving rocket after he flatlines, that was probably the most powerful scene I’ve seen pratt perform. Perfect execution.
I had the thought a while ago that when Drax makes those types of comments, that he's really talking about himself. Like subconsciously. He's been wallowing in his grief the whole trilogy. And the only way he knew how to deal with it was with stupid little actions that one would use to entertain a child. Talking about being fast enough to catch something 'going over his head', or standing so still that nobody can see him. In the wrong context, it makes him look like an idiot, but perhaps its more that his most basic instinct is to do or say things for his children, and that being 'the destroyer' is alien to him, and he just lashes out when he gets mad, or goes over the top with how he thinks a destroyer should be. But now that he has those children to look after, he no longer has to be a destroyer, and can become that which is natural for him.
And they did kill one stupid guy who no one loves, that reorder dude who Peter grabs and jumps out of high evolutionary's ship with, he aborbs the impact of their fall and dies
13:00 isn't a baby elephant, it's a tapir. Despite their pig/elephant like appearance, they're actually more related to horses and rhinos. The trunk is just convergent evolution! Hope this helps!
I now realize that the plot point of rescuing the little girls was to advance Drex’s character. Since his daughter died. It’s nice to see him making amens 😭 saddest part out of the Guardians’ individual stories is him losing his little family
@@AntsTheaterCorner2698 yes I know, he created the movie with passion, unlike marvel and disney who only care about money now. They don't care about the trash cgi and trash writing of the shows. Watch James gunn make superman legacy as one of the best superman movies out there
I really love Drax’s story arc as he initially became “the Destroyer” to avenge his dead family. Now that he became a dad to a whole population of kids and that made him dance and wholesome is so heartwarming
Another detail that I love about the "swap" between Gamora and Nebula: Remember how---in EVERY guardians movie, + infinity war, NEBULA is crashing a jet/spaceship into everything to make her entrance???? Well Gamora takes that role in GG3, crashing the Bowie into Counter-Earth almost hitting Quill. Love it, Lad!
I've been thinking about this for a while but with this movie I already decided, James Gunn is my favorite director of superhero movies and one of my favorite directors in general, always entertaining, with charisma, with well-written protagonists, with visuals, direction and above all Excellent music, it can make me laugh with the stupidest thing and then make me cry because of the connection it makes with its characters, this closing is wonderful, and it is very clear that Superman is in good hands
On top of all this, James Gunn is also known for writing good scripts in a considerably short time. He wrote and shot The Suicide Squad very quickly when he wasn’t available at Disney. Also Peacemaker, a whole season written and shot in less than a year, while he was working on Guardians Christmas special and Vol. 3. Crazy man.
1:18 to me, I think it goes with his charater, especially in the beginning. The reason why he shuts people out is because he's afraid of letting people in and experience vulnerability. When all the little raccoons ran away from the hand of the high evolutionary, he stood still not because he was strong... he was afraid to move.
Awesome vid! When i think of Drax dancing, i think of it as him being ready to no longer be "alone" as he was grieving the loss of his family all this time. Now he is willing to open his heart again for the children to be their "dad" and accept his place as their new dance partner.
There's something I've noticed about Rocket and how he pilots ships. In the first Guardians, all of the controls are designed for individuals of normal to tall size... Where they're positioned and how far they're spaced apart. By Guardians 2, in the scene where the Guardians are being chased by the Sovereign due to Rocket stealing from them, if you watch the scenes with Rocket in the cockpit chair, you'll noticed it's been modified specifically for him, as the controls are closer to the chair, compared to where Quill is sitting where the controls are far apart. In Vol. 3, you'll noticed that in the flashback of young Rocket escaping, he gets on a ship where the controls are too far from the seat, and he literally hast to climb the steering wheel and use his body to turn and maneuver this ship. Then by the time you get to the "Bowie", you'll noticed that the controls are different. In order to steer, the controls are more versatile, allowing anyone to pilot it, more range of motion, including for Rocket due to his small stature. I thought this was always interesting, as it is a small detail no one (from what I've been able to see about for ALL the hidden details for all 3 guardians movies) has spoken about.
I absolutely love this movie. I literally have one gripe with it, and that is that I would have preferred if Drax didn’t speak the same language as the kid, and managed to convince them to help via body language. He’s a father deep down, him being able to be a father again. Not because they can talk, but because he is genuinely a good father figure would have made the scene even better in my opinion. I still cried for that scene anyways, so it’s not like the actual scene is bad in any way
Nice observations. One that you can see at regular speed that I haven't seen anyone mention is this. During Adam Warlock's attack at the beginning, when Mantis jumps on him, he breaks her right arm. Moments later, after Rocket has been wounded, she calls for Peter while pressing down on Rocket's wound with her left hand while her right arm just dangles at her side. When Peter brings the med packs over, she waits until he puta the pack on Rocket before putting another on her left arm to help heal her own wound. It happens so quickly, it is easy to miss, but it is really good attention to detail.
@TheCanadianLad next up across the spider verse 0.25x. There is one detail you might catch up in 0.25x, the miles glitching on the train fight seen starts when the watch given to him before in the movie to not glitch was broken by Miguel during fight on the train
Sir when I re-watched the film, I noticed a detail. When Star Lord opened the car, besides him, Groot saw him opening the door using the handle and he followed the same. Groot is one of the best characters and James Gunn proved the statement by showing his reactions in every scenario instead of dialogues in whole franchise. Big fan from India. India loves you as much as India loves Marvel.
I’m mad u didn’t acknowledge how Gamora couldn’t understand Groot until the end of the movie, showing that it takes time for people to understand him naturally and be apart of his family. And then WE finally hear Groot’s real voice showing that we now are apart of that family as well
One detail in this movie is Lylla, she's voiced by Linda Cardellini. Now I'm probably wrong, but I believe Linda Cardellini is the only actor to play two different notable characters in the MCU. She played Laura Barton, Hawkeye's wife as well.
ive come to the conclusion that the reason why marvel puts so much attention to detail in their movies is because they've seen the Canadian lads vids. They'll be like "make sure to put a shadow there or else CL will expose the shit outta us."
Done an amazing job there Lad. Cheers and excellent not single one I watched had these little details pointed out. I just get furious when some small channels steel your work. You work so hard thanks for all of this. ❤
My favourites are everything but drax dancing made me dance in the theatre and you explained that well it gave me chills from the start to end. Thanks and Love you brother!
8:43 Nah he didn't get lucky, he's just smart and knew what was going to happen. When Peter showed up to sell the orb containing the power stone to him, he got agitated and scared and kicked Peter out. He 100% fled the planet right after that and wasn't on the planet when Ronan showed up.
100% forgot about Drax's refusal/ opinoin on dancing. Thank you for point that out, makes the ending that much more special. You sir are a great Lad, keep up the amazing work!
Another detail, at 4:18 when on the close up of quill being disgusted at Gamora calling him “Quinn” you can actually see Chris Pratt mouth the word “Quinn?”
To your theory about the Rocket naming himself, it seems like Rocket was able to identify the rocket after hearing the term "skyrocketed" and learning what the sky is. He deduced that the skyrocketing means going up, and since the sky is stationary, the projectile he sees going up must be a rocket.
Really really happy for you Lad! I remember last year I became an Uncle for the first time when I was just 20 and I can totally relate to you on how much excited I was welcoming a new Avenger in my family🥰 Lots & Lots of blessings and a huge congratulations to you and your sister. I am not the only one who noticed Drax danced is him coming out of sad phase and transitioning to happy face. Losing his daughter and wife and now becoming father and guardian of many orphans. That's an arc of a hero. Thank Canadian lad. I m not alone
Just a correction, that wasn't a baby elephant, it's an animal called a Tapir. They look like a combination of a pig and elephant but they are closely related to horses and rhinos.

Well done on becoming an uncle! And the delay was 100% worth it. There is a deleted scene, where they show high evolutionary in a cage and when rocket passes himz he gives him a disappointed glaze, and the high evolutionary is now a bit scared of rocket. 14:25
8:20 I'm pretty sure the lead singer of the "I don't know what Christmas is, but Christmas time is here" song from the Guardians Holiday Special is there as well, his name was Byzmactofilok ot smth like that
Not enough people talk about this movie after the initial reviews since there is no consequences for the MCU in the future. Thank you for talking about it. It is a masterpiece.
That was Amazing! I appreciate your and your friend Jacob's hardwork for finding such details from the movie. Tbh this movie is a masterpiece. Hope we'll see the Guardians together again. Listen, I have a detail for you to tell. It's from the Dark knight. *When Joker meets the Mob, laughing, you'll notice that he would be laughing the same way as the choir of prisoners from 'The Dark knight Rises' who sing for the prisoner and encourage him/her who's trying to escape the well.*
1. I think as Rocket always wanted to go out with friends when they were in cage so a rocket going outside might be the reason he named himself Rocket. 2. I was totally unhappy when nebula and Peter didn't started any romantic relationship at the end. 3. I didn't notice that drax carried high evolutionary but it might indicating that he was simply following peters order that nobody kills nobody.
Early in the film, before going into battle, Nebula says wait while she puts on her armor and then precedes to actually fight like Iron Man would with all of these weapons that come out of her suit and even her fighting style. It seems she grew to admire and then emulate Tony Stark.
12:56 that's not an elephant. it's something called "tapir" they are much smaller than elephants and the one in the movie can possibly be a full grown one.
There are a lot of things i love about this film but Something i don't see a lot of people talking about is the costume design and not just the comic accurate suits but ALL of it in general. In the 1st film its more sleek and stylish but also looking very practical, showing all the guardians as kind of loners and not yet comfortable with eachother, in the second its more laid back and practical almost lazy (for the gardians anyway) showing that they are more comfortable being around eachother and the people with the more sleeker colourful outfits are the ones we are led to not trust (i.e Ego, The High Priestess) and in the 3rd its more of a combination between the first two with the comic accurate suits and their casual clothes but also typically more colourful, but i also love all the little details james gun put in like when Peter goes back to earth his outfit mirrors his usual colour scheme and classic leather jacket or how nebulas clothes go from uptight and scary to loose and casual as she leaves thanos's side and becomes a gardian and so much more i really believe it should be nominated for best costume design.
Not to crap on the CGI, cause its really good, but when he was commenting on Star Lord putting the taser-disk on the guard's butt (11:05), you can see Star Lord's hand clip through the fabric of the guards coat as he's placing the taser-disk. This is extra funny, because that happens at the same time Canadian Lad says you won't be able to catch any CGI errors. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing against the CGI artists or Canadian Lad for not commenting on it, it's just something I noticed and thought was funny. It's probably there for the shot flows more smoothly, like how Elsa's braid clips through her shoulder in Frozen.
I love how you dont even mention obvious details and make more money out of them (which you totally can) and you make sure that every single detail that you give us is something we only can see in a canadian lad video. Love your work man❤
I may not agree with a few of your interpretations, but the work you do to show us the small details is always more than appreciated. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
I think I have a detail as well: The 27th detail refers to the ¨baby Elephant¨ but that animal actually looks more like a ¨Tapir¨ a South American mammal
an AMAZING video as always man, i just want to point out one thing: on 12:53 of the video, this is not a "baby elephant" it's a Anta, a common animal in south america, specially here in Brazil, cheers

You wanna know where i saw this movie?
On a ferry, headed to England. I saw GOTG vol 3 on a ferry.
🤓I had been waiting of Canadian lad's video on this amazing movie. You are awesome man. Nothing escapes your eyes👀
Wow, I have been waiting for this, well done lad ❤
I love the way this movie ends especially with Drax. It warms my heart.
I've been waiting for you 😋
Finally completed the movie with this explanation 😅
And the wait is over, loved your content
The 27th detail, is not an baby Elephant, but in fact looks to be an South American tapir
3:47 thought you would say something about Among Us :)
That's actually a 2001: A Space Odyssey reference, not Among Us :)
@@TheCanadianLad OHHH it is! Man you're really smart when it comes to movies haha
13:06 is probably also a reference to Eagley who James Gunn wrote into Peacemaker
That hallway fight was 18 shots spliced together. The behind the scenes CGI doc was pretty cool.
Bro missed the chance to say "Pugtrait" haha awesome video, Lad!
4:05 And Peter is most likely yellow as a reference to Pac-man
Amazing amazing movie. I’m rewatching it now with a director commentary and it’s awesome. Love it.
Also great video as usual mate!
12:53 Isn't that a tapir?
I love how you dont even mention obvious details and make more money out of them (which you totally can) and you make sure that every single detail that you give us is something we only can see in a canadian lad video. Love your work man❤
Thank you man! :)
The scene where Groot says "I love You Guys" it shows that we started understanding Groot's language even his lipsync was "I Am Groot"...
love this video, amazing work maite!
This might be the best movie after endgame, dare I say even slightly better than no way home. Hope marvel start making movies like this
Absolutely. It's a perfect standalone film that comes from the heart of James Gunn. Not from the MCU.
Such a great detail and passion on the VFX and easter egg, sadly the same couldn't be said on the TV series countertpart
The video we’ve all been waiting for
I may not agree with a few of your interpretations, but the work you do to show us the small details is always more than appreciated. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
GotG 3 and ATSV proves that there is no such thing as a superhero fatigue, there is just a "bad storytelling" fatigue
ngl ATSV's story was kinda weak, animations hard carried it and ofc the references and cameos did too
Exactly!
Ty for your entertaining breakdowns, I really love these while high. Makes me go back to the movie sometimes. :')
11:02 peter's hand clips through the skirt. ironic that you said there are no VFX mistakes, when there's one right there in front of you
Wrong!! I watched this at 0.25 and his hand goes under the skirt and quickly pulls out
Not clip
@@Markiplierforreal it looks like that at first, but it's not right. go frame by frame and you will see the feather masking job.
I love how this movie keeps the themes of relationship between creator and created that forms core conflict in Gunn's filmography.
I think I have a detail as well: The 27th detail refers to the ¨baby Elephant¨ but that animal actually looks more like a ¨Tapir¨ a South American mammal
Amazing as usual... Thanks lads to catch all effort of the CGI team in MCU...
The Eagle on Groot's head is a reference to Peacemaker, Gunn's DC TV show that has an Eagle.
12:54 This is not a baby elephant, it's a Tapir, a complete different specie from elephants.
Something that these videos really highlight is your appreciation for the work vfx artists do. I think you’d really enjoy the channel Corridor Crew
an AMAZING video as always man, i just want to point out one thing: on 12:53 of the video, this is not a "baby elephant" it's a Anta, a common animal in south america, specially here in Brazil, cheers
