    Are you still doing these? I was trying to look at your webpage, but it looks like it is no longer working? My LED for the checking light stopped illuminating, so I'm looking for a way to fix it and maybe even change it up. This would be a cool upgrade.

    I’m currently doing this my self and what’s the easiest way to replace my needles in the right spot of my car is not driving rn?

      There is a code you can enter by turning on & off the key, but I don't know that info. What I did was fill the 350z with gas. Warm the car up and let it idle. Take a picture of your needle placement. When putting it back together, plug in your cluster without the front clear cover, then warm up the Z again and place the gas needle where it was; place the RPM needle at 800 RPM or whatever yours was idling at. Then, place your temp needle in the middle. Next, drive and use the center digital MPH as a guide and place your speedo needle. You may have to do the speedo a few times to get it correct and there you go! Good luck.

    hey there,took your advice and desoldered my LEDs that I didn't want anymore .my new question is ,my gas needle isn't reading accurate more soon reinstallation .what is the proper way to calibrate/reinstall the needles ?I think I left off with close to empty and now it's reading a little less than 1/2tank.

    • @MisterPatchbay
      @MisterPatchbay  7 лет назад +1

      I always fill the 350z with fuel and set the gas needle to the top. The RPM should be set right above the 500 RPM mark when at idle. The temp should be right below 1/2 way. The speedo I set while driving at 60 MPH. This is dangerous. Only do that on a wide empty road.

      MisterPatchbay
      well too late for that lol ....I guess I'll just set it with key on to the End line where it originally was .that's all I have to worry about correct ?in my situation how would you recommend setting Ron and mph?

      MisterPatchbay
      basically I turn on the car and reinstall the needle in the E position since that's where it was before I disassembled it?

    • @MisterPatchbay
      @MisterPatchbay  7 лет назад +1

      That is correct. Then go fill with gas and check your needle placement before you out the clear plastic cover back on.

    Hi Mister Patch bay
    question.; to put back the needle just inserted back???
    NO NEEDLE CALIBRATION????
    I NEED TO KNOW PLEASE THANK YOU IF YOU CAN REPLY I WILL APRECIATED IT
    WALTER

    • @MisterPatchbay

      The way I reset the needles is: I fill the car with fuel and set the fuel needle just above the top slash. I make sure the car is warmed up and set the temp just below half. The RPM sets at 800 RPM wile the motor is running. Then I go to a safe place and drive the 350z at 60 MPH and place the speedometer needle at the correct speed while driving. This is dangerous to do while driving so be careful. It may take you many times trying to set the speedometer before you get it right. -Bob

      One last question..!.
      When I place the needles. Temp, Gas.!
      Would the car has to be one engine running right ???
      And the other speeder cluster has to be running meaning driving??
      Right ???

    • @MisterPatchbay
      @MisterPatchbay  6 лет назад +1

      Yes. You set the fuel, temp and RPM while sitting at idle. Yes I set the speedometer while driving at a set speed.

      The original rpm led is a red LED on your gauge face.

    After I put a new face on and put it all together why my needles are all out of wack how do I fix them? It reads 4500 rpm and that I’m going 40mph at idle. Also my gas gauge is out of wack

    • @MisterPatchbay
      @MisterPatchbay  3 года назад +1

      How I reset the needles: Fill the 350z with gas. Let the motor warm up. Set your fuel needle just above the top slash for full. Place the TEMP needle just above the seatbelt hazard light. Set your RPM needle at 850 RPM. NOTE: This step can be dangerous! Drive the Z and look at the center digital speedometer. Match the MPH to the digital number at 35 MPH. Then check at a faster speed. Put the clear lens cover back on. Smile and enjoy it!
