Lol I'm giggling at you trying to identify Bianca Lawson and saying the timeline doesn't add up. She's the ageless actress, she's played the role of a 17 year old girl across multiple shows for about 20 years. I'm serious, look it up! And I do think at least one was in a Disney something.😄 For a little added trivia, she's also Beyoncé's stepsister.😆
Yep, the lore is that "in every generation a Slayer is born", but 'generation' is sloppy, because the lore is also "when one Slayer dies, the next Slayer is called", and Buffy was 'called' when she was a freshman in the high school in LA, so the previous Slayer had apparently died at that point, and probably wasn't much older than Buffy, so clearly multiple possible Slayers are born into each generation and the Slayer mojo just gets passed from one to the next, as often as necessary so there is always a Slayer in the world. All that can be determined from what they told us early in Season 1, and while you might be fuzzy in terms of the details, the show certainly established that there is "one girl in all the world, the chosen one; she alone will fight the vampires..." so you were not mistaken, that's why you thought there was only one. :)
Yeah, I always read "in every generation a Slayer is born" as meaning that there is only a/one Slayer at a time but that every generation MUST have a Slayer. So that when one Slayer dies another is called so that there will always be 'one' Slayer in each generation, not necessarily the same Slayer.
LOL no you're so right it's the "one girl in all the world, the chosen one; she alone will fight the vampires" that literally was always replayed i was like where is that detail from!
I've transcribed old Latin manuscripts. It actually takes a lot of work to figure out the handwriting and understanding that lots of medieval manuscripts also use shorthand and they wrote the letter S like an f if it was anywhere besides the first or last letter. lol
That was a good misdirect. The only thing I can think of how the cat applies is that it is half hidden behind a bush, so it was someone hiding in plain sight
@@carilabok6319 And if the cat on the card was a black panther rather than a jaguar, there would have been extra layers - a call back to the Black Panthers organization, a shout out to the Black Panther superhero (Wakanda Forever!), or both. I think if that cat was supposed to represent Kendra then yes a black panther would have been much more appropriate. @@carilabok6319 agreed. So for their careers Xander got prison guard and Buffy got police officer aka law enforcement. I think it fits them perfectly. He's always trying to protect his friends and always has Buffy's back. Plus, remember Halloween? He was a soldier. Buffy's a leader that he follows orders from so yeah, I can see them have a place in the world after high school. And knowing Willow and Oz are software techs is awesome and adorable. Willow has already helped Buffy in the past so maybe somewhere down the road they can create their own home base aka headquarters and Willow can manage to upgrade it with the newest tech available. She can also bug people's tech if they get too close. Can you imaging the gang be all Mission Impossible? Lol. No, seriously that'd be cool. And maybe other things have been passed on as well like weapons, books, talismans, etc. to help the Slayer. Think about the secret hideouts and buildings. I mean, there must be so much history of the Slayer written down that it must be coming from somewhere right? Otherwise, where the heck is Giles getting all his info from? Somebody wrote it. We know Giles came from England where he learned his stuff before arriving in Sunnydale so there must be a place there that has most of the knowledge about the Slayer like the Watchers Council.
