Rappeling upside down can often be seen on public demonstrations or in Hollywood movies. In this video I will tell you some basics, how you can do this.
Please only do this in a safe area and if you know, what you are doing. So this video is mainly for entertainment purpose and not a full tutorial.

Rocking the ASAP lock, Nice!
This is likely the best tactical rappel tutorial made. Pointing out the obvious hazard early of falling out of your harness
@6:17 one itty-bitty comment as using the "upside down " rappel, tactic made popular by SAS I believe to expose only the helmet and weapon to occupations in a building room
Excellent video good sir 👍
Great job
Awesome video
Good stuff!
Thank you😸
Nice video my friend. Best regards from Spain!! 👍
Hey that's pretty cool! : ) Gut gemacht mann : ). Ich liebe deine videos.
Cooles Video....beast mode 🤪
the upside down rapel is essencial in hostage situation in apartments building in some cases the shooter block doors and the only entrace is the from the roof if he heard something immediately shoots to operators when they are descending
I know you're never supposed to take an absolute whipper on a cobra buckle, and that the static load is far higher than needed for a normal, non land whale of a person, but it still makes my skin crawl seeing people trust their entire body weight on them. Fucking brave man right here.
You stress your arms way too much by this method. Use a prusik knot and you can rappel with one hand by moving prusik and holding a rifle with other or even stop in the middle of rappelling and you have both of your hands empty to do whatever you want. Also might save someones life when one is shot and incapacitated of holding the rope. But since usually tactical rappels are short and not long lasting, your method is fine aswell.
Fun Like the video good content , Your video about the ESCAPER ? Would you use it for a video ? with up-side down rappel. See now your not climbing the ICE falls, That just made me not want to do that as a sport. Thanks for the video as always Good Job.
Echt Mega Video Ripperkon. Hast du das auch auf deutsch? Wie kommst du so Schell mit Einer Hand aus dem Seil und wo steht denn bitte so ein geiler Turm 😀?
What knot are you using on the carabiner?
Even though operators seldom need to rappel upside down, training for it is essential. Sometimes it’s the only optimum solution for tactical application in direct action missions. An auto braking ascender is the only way to go, because it allows the operator get both hands free to operate a firearm or place breaching charges. I used to not only practice rappelling upside down, but shooting upside down as well. It’s also important to verify reliable cycling of firearms for this application. Quite often face down rappelling is a better method, but not always. Face down can sometimes slow the operator down from getting into action. If you have a fireteam rappelling you can alternate rappelling methods based on each operators job.
Where can I get a harness like that
When I went to encampment (basic training for teens) we rappelled off of a 75 foot tower. One guy in my flight fell upside down and had to go down that way 🤣
😎👍
Great video as always! Is there any website or way to get md-textil and other European brands in the US?
Some retailers here in Germany will ship to USA. Then most of the time the prices on the website are 19% cheaper (since German taxes are removed). But then you will have to pay USA taxes for the import. But if I remember right, they are lower.
@@ripperkon Okay great that’s awesome to hear. I will definitely check it out. Thanks for the reply and content
In my opinion it’s important to swat and police in saving hostages scenario they have to take down contacts in stealth way 👍
Hello,
What is the plate carrier/chest harness that you are using?
Modular harness system by Md-Textil
Products are with MGS in the name.
Maybe I have placed a link in the description
And don’t forget to practice your upside down shooting! By way of interest, without stating the obvious, safety/back up systems are used in a tactical situation as the downsides out way the benefits!
*Combat mountaineering is cool, but narrowly focused.*
Hallo Ripperkon, Grusse aus HN,
Du ganz kurz wegen Plattenträgern, 2022
- Mehler Vario Systems hat ja den GRID CARRIER TAKTISCHER PLATTENTRÄGER,
- NFM Group haben den Thor Plattenträger,
Wann denkste das diese Skelett Plattenträger kommen. Weisste da was.
What is the tecnical term for abseiling/rappelling down a building by walking down the building with a rope?
You open up more entry options than just the front door. So it can help in supporting the person inside.
And maybe the glass on the balcony is easier to „open“ than the solid front door.
Or what did you mean?
@@ripperkon sorry I am not thinking directly of your video, but more of some special force method where people walk down the flat building using a rope, when I look up walking down a building it keeps referring to abseiling or rappelling, but that's not the term I am thinking of, people hold a rope and face outward they walk right down the side of a building?
Hello please con you tell us the brand of your pants, thanks in advance
It is by UF Pro.
What pants do you use?
In this video it is the UF Pro striker XT gen 3
Get your hand off it 😂😂😂
Du kleiner Klettermaxe ;-) wie oft bist du denn diesen Turm hochgelaufen??? Sieht jedenfalls ultracool aus. TOP
Hehe danke.
Oh, gute Frage. Bestimmt mindestens 8 mal. Aber eher öfter.
Wäre ich 40 Jahre jünger...... ;-)

Content is GREAT, but you don't have proper auditorium.
Maybe you should contact with some Ukrainian channels (Telegram channels).
They will make quiz with important topics, and those who will get biggest interest with be demonstrated at your next videos.
Also, you can add Ukrainian subtitles for the previous videos (I know for sure, that at least some of them were translated into Ukrainian).
