I have a little thought about the disappearance of Shuichi's ahoge (3:16):
Something that could be thought of is that for example, not having the ahoge means that the whole thing was him imagining the events (which is why he was still in the train with eyes closed), but then pregame Shuichi is now slowing going back to his actual reality, where he is only a Danganronpa fan, and since most Danganronpa protagonist have an ahoge, he imagined himself having one. I'm not sure why I thought of this rn, but I kind of wanted to say it.

this is underrated and i’m hella mad cuz this in my opinion, is so perfect for saiouma. it shows how childish he appeared to all of the other people and how he enjoyed saiouma’s company. it also brings out the canon with shuichi being a bit of a dweeb, and kokichi being a “phantom thief” that stole shuichi’s heart. overall, this is one of my personal favourite saiouma videos and i’m so angry at how underrated this is. you should be at ATLEAST 300k by now- also your art style inspires me so much it’s so cute 🥺

The man who took the role of the Villain in order to Save the 'friends' who never cared about him.
Allow me to rant about how UNFAIR and DEPRESSING Kokichi's story is.
First off, I'd like to say I believed in Kokichi from the very beginning... I had always believed and hoped that he was a good person inside...
Because he was a liar.
He would always say he loved watching people die and suffer. But I knew it was a lie... He wanted Shuichi to die. And I definitely knew that was a lie too. Because he clearly said so...
I spent all my Free-Time with Kokichi, in order to max his Friend-petal things and 'improve our friendship' (dammit Shuichi...)
In the first few times... Kokichi joked around about death games with Shuichi.. Russian roulette, walking across an electrified steel beam, ect.
After the 3rd Free-Time, he started showing signs that he didn't actually want Shuichi dead.
Kokichi asked Shuichi to play his death-version of Rock-Paper-Scissors. Whoever loses the game dies. Each and every time they played, the two ended in a draw... Like 100+ times... Neither won... Neither lost... At first you'd think:
"Huh, so many coincidences in a row! This definitely means that Kokichi is evil and I, brave Shuichi, will defeat him in the end of this game because I am his match! Bwahaha"
But then, Kokichi says something interesting....... 'Shuichi, you know there's a way a person can always match their opponent's hand in Rock-Paper-Scissors?'
Then he doesn't say anymore.
Wanna know why that's important?
It implies Kokichi intentionally made sure.... Neither of them lost the game... Every single time....He made sure neither he nor Shuichi 'died' in his little game of Rock-Paper-Scissors.
In Kokichi's final Free-Time...... He whips out another dangerous game: The Knife Game.
He plays the game first....
And he cuts his finger....
Then Shuichi freaks out and wraps a bandage around it.
Shuichi wonders why Kokichi admits defeat and isn't forcing him to play the Knife Game too..
He then says... 'I already achieved my goal. I made you worry about me, didn't I? By the way, I don't actually want you dead. I was lying when I said that before. 。^‿^｡" (or something along those lines)
He drops several hints that he's not evil like this throughout the game...
The way he forced everyone to the "Insect Meet-n-Greet" in order for everyone to watch their motive videos together....... Shuichi and the others fought against his idea....
And then what happened? Another fucking Killing happened....
And after the trial, Shuichi thinks:
"HmmHhmmmM, Maybe Kokichi had the right idea all along. If we had followed his idea of watching the videos together, this murder may have not happened... HhhmmMm"
Kokichi also helps Himiko let out all her emotions by crying... "I'm a liar. I can tell when someone is lying to themselves. Let out all those bottled emotions Himiko ect.".... Once Himiko cries, everyone starts crying... Then everyone feels much better after letting it all out
Still pissed Shuichi didn't worry about Kokichi when he tripped on the floorboards and almost cracked his skull open with blood... The hell, i was like 'okay so is nobody gonna ask him if he's okay? His whole face is literally dripping blood-"
Kokichi then literally asks Shuichi to be his friend in the Virtual World.
What does Shuichi do? He rejects him and later on says the words "You will always be alone. You'll never have friends"
At that point I almost WANTED to be a danganronpa character for the sole purpose of giving Kokichi a hug and being his friend alongside Gonta because obviously the rest of the class are hypocritical assholes to him.(Remember that time when Shuichi Lied during a Class Trial, and Kokichi said the truth, but nobody believed Kokichi? Remember when Kaito took in Maki and Shuichi, gave them love and support, and encouraged them as a friend, but ignored Kokichi.. And that bastard even said "I still think Kokichi is a lying sack of shit" AFTER KOKICHI LITERALLY GAVE UP HIS LIFE IN HIS FINAL ATTEMPT TO END THE KILLING GAME AND SAVE THE REST OF THE REMAINING STUDENTS
Even More hints he cared even in his final moments include:
•Giving Kaito the only Antidote while he suffered from Maki's poison.
•During the execution of his final plan, Kokichi could have easily allowed Kaito to be crushed under the Hydraulic Press, all he had to do was Not push the stop button... If he didn't care about the others.... He would have just killed Kaito under the press by not pressing the stop button and let the poison kill him before the class trial began... But he doesn't. In his final words, he admits to Kaito that He NEVER enjoyed the killing game to begin with, 'what good is a game you're being forced to play?'(in a better translation: how could a game that involves killing others be fun?) 'the people who made this game piss me off' 'I had to lie to myself and pretend I enjoyed it this whole time'
And what does Kaito do after he hears Kokichi's final words after his final attempt at saving everyone from the killing game?
He calls Kokichi a lying sack of shit
maki says the world is better without him
Only Keebo believes his final words
'is it a lie, is it the truth?
The Truth is in the eye of the beholder'
I love Kaito, but that little hypocrite decided to help and befriend Shuichi and Maki, but NOT Kokichi...?
Kokichi, like Kaede, had been trying to stop the killing game since the beginning... Miu's remote that controlled the exisals, the electrobombs, the hammers, the bugvac... He already asked her to make those early in the game...
He learned the secret of the outside world before everyone else, and tried to help everyone in his own Kokichi way
Sure, I almost lost hope that he was a good person after the Gonta/Miu chapter... But you gotta think about it from his perspective.... Just like Alter Ego Gonta said....
Once Kokichi and Gonta learned about the outside world, they were both plunged in despair... "If both the inside and the outside are utter hell... What's the point??? It's better to die while you're still happy, hopeful and ignorant, than to die filled with utter despair after learning the secret of the outside world." that was Kokichi's mindset. Why did he act creepy and terrifying afterwards? He was pretending to be the mastermind in order to eventually stop the killing game, remember? He had to make it as believable to everyone as he could in case it didn't work out. I'm definitely sure Kokichi felt bad after Gonta, literally his only friend in the game, died because of him even after he played it off as a lie.

I really think that line describes Kokichi incredibly well. Was he good? Was he bad?? The truth about Kokichi lies in the eye of the beholder I guess. There is proof of both.. but y'all already know where I stand in the debate.

This is so underrated, it’s really unfair.
I like to believe that the killing game was just in a virtual world and that the characters are living their normal lifes with each other, also I like to believe that shuichi do all the things the others wanted him to do in their promises, just as Rantaro asking his help to find his sisters or Kirumi wanting to help him reach his full capacity.
Hey, i like the idea. Theres a specific wall in the game were it spells out a lot of letters. In excess theres a few vowels but theres like 1 v, 1 r, 1 t, 1 l
