Now that it has more than 10 views (lol) people be asking "why the blood red?" I wanted to make the blood red to make it more obvious what kind of sacrifice Kokichi had to make. The point of the pink blood in the original game is to censor the real gore and make the tone lighter and I didn't want to do that. I think the red blood makes the gravity of the situation a little more apparent.

He’s seen as the antagonist, and he is. But truth is, he was just someone who was scared, vulnerable, and wanted to help. Gonta was the only person who really talked to him. Kokichi had been writing the book since the beginning of the game, and knew he had to find some way to win. Since miu was targeting him, he needed her gone so that he could finish the plan. Gonta helped.. at the trial, you can see Kokichi’s face turn black and he fell quiet. Gonta was his only friend and you could tell he actually regretted it. Now imagine regretting something, then everyone is telling you how much of a liar you are. That’s just one part.. Next, KOKICHI’S death. Kokichi decided that dying himself was the only way the plan would work, since he had no one else left. (Even if he did, it would’ve been like the Gonta trial. He’d regret.) Most people hate him. But what would they have thought of him if he won the game? He was only acting like a ‘jerk’ to others because he wanted to appeal to monokuma. The ones who don’t appeal, get killed off. So Kokichi wanted to live as long as he could. He was smart for that. He was told to make the game interesting. In reality, he was just trying to help the others survive without getting attached like he did with Gonta. He wanted no one in his way.. now if you think about it, if he wanted the plan to only make him live, he wouldn’t have made the plan to kill himself off if he wasn’t even alive, he wouldn’t survive. So what was the point of his plan?... To help everyone else escape in trade for his life.. Next time someone says “I hate Kokichi, he’s so inconsiderate.” Just think about this..
I feel bad for him in a way. He didn't show it but it was probably kinda painful to think about all the bad things you have done while your in fictional hell 😭

You know I randomly start crying when I think about myself in Oma’s shoes (also sorry for being late) They have no memories of who they are or who they were. They are forcefully thrown into a game where you have to murder each other, they have bonded, loved, and befriended all of these others and they are being murdered and executed. These people that they have learned to love are dying because they are getting so desperate to live, so desperate to see the people they love, so desperate to be free. Oma wanted to end their suffering by ending the game, he made everyone hate him, he made everyone not shed one tear when he died in such a slow and brutal way, he planned so much to help them but his plan only failed. He watched so many people that he cared for have their lives ripped away and he had joined them. He could’ve used the antidote and Kaito would’ve died while Maki became the culprit but instead he saw this as his chance to make it up to them, by ending the killing game. He pretended to be the villain so that he could try to save them and in the end and his plan failed, he failed.
Honestly, Kokichi was a true Ultimate Supreme leader. Trying to do the right thing and protect everyone until the end, and trying to lead them to a happy ending.

Most of the characters do become sad and hopeless. Most of them probably had a fake personality so they wouldn’t be seen as weak. Kaede was bubbly and supportive but she had dark intentions even if it was to end the killing game, (hint hint- Rantaro’s death) So their personalities that were built up could’ve gone against how they really felt.
Kokichi's talent is being a Supreme leader, right? Well when you're a leader you what what's best for -everyone. That's what nobody in V3 really noticed. He used the hatred of others to push them in the right Direction, even if it mentally, emotionally, and PHYSICALLY Hurt him. " I'm Kokichi Ouma! The Ultimate supreme leader. Ni-heehee! " "...Maybe that’s what lying is _all_ about. " " The truth is in the eye of the beholder. " " I had to lie to myself to survive the killing game! " " Gonta argue back already! " " Right, Miss Ultimate Assassin? " " How could I possibly like a game where you kill your friends!? " " ..... " " I'll end this killing game. " All of those quotes mean something. It shows some of his true colors. His introduction. A tiny bit of narrating that he might use lies to cope. Only the liar knows the truth. He had to think this game was fun to win. He cared about Gonta that’s why he wanted him To make a point on why he could be innocent. A Liar knows a Liar. His last words. .... I’ll kill myself as a sacrifice for you all. _But...on top of all that...._ _Did anyone ever care?_ *" You're alone Kokichi. You always will be. "*
Jokes aside, I was legit crying by the end of this. Like, the fact he was willing to lay down his own life to try and stop the killing game, and just this put into a animatic was just so beautiful. You did such an amazing job of this!
It makes me so sad to think that Kokichi made a huge sacrifice to try and end the killing game, and nobody even cared or believed his last words except for Kiibo, it’s not fair that Kokichi had to go through being crushed by the hydraulic press, and STILL people hated him. I think the saddest part of this animation is when he is getting crushed by the press, and I think he is imagining everyone caring about his death and being friends with them when he died. But in reality, nobody gave much thought and cared more about Kaito dying than Kokichi's sacrifice for them to be able to leave. And it's even worse when you *REALLY* start to think about the thoughts going through his head, about how much he was hated but he still thinks of them as friends. He was most likely scared about death but was probably hoping he would see all of his other friends from the killing game again, and would be reunited with everyone who survived again (especially Shuichi because we all know he had a thing for him) I'm in so many tears.. I-I can't.. 😭😭
In the game's closing argument near the end, you can see Kokichi looks visibly terrified; HE WAS LITERALLY PURPLE IN THE FACE, HIS EYES SHOWS FEAR, AND HIS MOUTH WAS JUST LIKE THIS FEARFUL SAD EXPRESSION UGH IM SOBBING.

How did this make me cry so much? This is amazing, normally everyone hates kokichi but the way you have shown how he truly was in this video is heart warming, I almost cried as much as I did when we found out that it was really kokichi who died, which I cried for a whole day, I guess as it reminded me so much of him. I know yall are gonna say: oh he is just a game character he isn’t real so why did you over react, well to answer that question before anyone asks me it is as I can relate to him so much.

The fact he gave his life to help the others shatters me, because they didn’t care he was gone, they didn’t care about how he truly must have felt, they didn’t care in general.it was because he kept up a persona which ended up failing later on. He may have been mentally unstable but it doesn’t mean he couldn’t have been hiding his real feelings as you could never tell as he believed no one liked him when he died from the press, but he still sacrificed himself so they could end it all

It's been a year or two since I first saw this, and whenever I hear the music, I get flooded with a feeling of nostalgia, anxiety, and the general of missing the past. It was a simpler time for me when this came out. Then I left the fandom for a bit, and forgot about this song, and this animatic. In the beginning of December(2022), I started watching Kubz Scouts' v3 playthroughs, and got back into the fandom. Now, like, at the beginning of the month(February 2023), I heard the song again, looked for this animatic, watched it again, and I felt so ogsiibwfiskwodif and just This song will always hold a special spot in my heart. Thank you for this animation.

Hey, I would like a compensation since this video destroyed my soul. Kidding. It's marvelous, I can just feel the emotions that the song transmits. The expresion on the characters are absolutely on point. Ever since my first playthrough of v3 I've been really attached to Kokichi's character and role in the game, when Chapter 4 ended I was sure of what was coming, so Ch.5 trial was depressing for me, I knew since the very beggining. There's so much stuff that have been left unclear on his character (and v3 in gral but we don't wanna talk about that). I really hope we get SOMETHING more of the v3 cast in any way. God, my heart... Watching People play the game and seeing how none of them notice the genius that is kokichi and how much he actually did. Watching this hurts my heart when I think of how much I love kokichi and what he was willing to sacrifice and everything he did to end the killing game and save everyone.

Yes yes finally! I've seen alot of people hate him solely because they think he's overrated. He died in the end for everybody, yet nobody gives him enough credit. He hated the killing game the most, and he intended to end it. It's sad to think about the fact he died believing nobody even cared a dime about him. He went through so much trauma, most of the people who hate him dont know about his past. Kokichi was an orphan and was bullied. Its said his pregame self was very fragile and emotionally unstable. Imagine being the most emotionally vulnerable out of the 16 students, yet your only friend being a robot who technically can't feel. What he needed most was somebody to vent to. He really was alone, nobody to turn to. He gave his life to save them. Yet, they believed he killed Kaito. It just-feels so wrong.
Kokichi is so misunderstood he’s so caught up in his lies that he forgot who he was before and now when he tells the truth I don’t think he knows he is
I am thrilled, almost crying, I hadn’t been like this in the game, incredible animation and even showed the true feelings of the kokichi, with a short time of video managed to show a lot. Congratulations
Kokichi is honestly the only character in Danganronpa that makes me generally sad to just think about. Not just because he was a cool character or because he died it'd because of the sacrifices he made. Oma could have befriended everyone instead of causing constant problems but he knew from the start that making friends would cause grief in the end so he put up his wall of lies and made everyone despise him for so many reasons. He goes so far as to force a murder to happen in the hands of Gonta and pretend he was the mastermind just so he could follow through with his plan to end the killing game. I truly believe he cared for everyone still alive at that point even though they all hated him. All he wanted to do from the very beginning was save his friends even if it meant sacrificing himself.
i’m personally not the biggest fan of kokichi, but i do feel bad for him. i feel like even if he could be annoying sometimes, he got the shaft in character development. i don’t like throwing shade at the devs but i feel kokichi should have gotten a bit more backstory and development. it really just felt like he was only bad because he was self aware.
I never was able to truly understand kokichi but after seeing this video it crushed my heart that no one really wanted to be around him because they though he was dangerous, but he was just trying to same everyone, and none of the other characters really cared much about his death like the rest of the peaple that died.
thats probably because they could not find kokichis true motive, and since he showed that he didn't really cares about the others, the rest of the survivors wouldnt think that he do something as even kill himself for everyone

I think the saddest part of this animation is when he is getting crushed by the press, and I think he is imagining everyone caring about his death and being friends with them when he died. But in reality, nobody gave much thought and cared more about Kaito dying than Kokichi's sacrifice for them to be able to leave. And it's even worse when you *REALLY* start to think about the thoughts going through his head, about how much he was hated but he still thinks of them as friends. He was most likely scared about death but was probably hoping he would see all of his other friends from the killing game again, and would be reunited with everyone who survived again (especially Shuichi because we all know he had a thing for him) I'm in so many tears.. I-I can't.. 😭😭
In the game's closing argument near the end, you can see Kokichi looks visibly terrified; HE WAS LITERALLY PURPLE IN THE FACE, HIS EYES SHOWS FEAR, AND HIS MOUTH WAS JUST LIKE THIS FEARFUL SAD EXPRESSION UGH IM SOBBING.

This is amazing, normally everyone hates kokichi but the way you have shown how he truly was in this video is heart warming, I almost cried as much as I did when we found out that it was really kokichi who died, which I cried for a whole day, I guess as it reminded me so much of him. I know yall are gonna say: oh he is just a game character he isn’t real so why did you over react, well to answer that question before anyone asks me it is as I can relate to him so much.

He may have been mentally unstable but it doesn’t mean he couldn’t have been hiding his real feelings as you could never tell as he believed no one liked him when he died from the press, but he still sacrificed himself so they could end it all

Kidding. It's marvelous, I can just feel the emotions that the song transmits. The expresion on the characters are absolutely on point. Ever since my first playthrough of v3 I've been really attached to Kokichi's character and role in the game, when Chapter 4 ended I was sure of what was coming, so Ch.5 trial was depressing for me, I knew since the very beggining. There's so much stuff that have been left unclear on his character (and v3 in gral but we don't wanna talk about that). I really hope we get SOMETHING more of the v3 cast in any way. Sorry I got carried away, thank you for this beautiful piece of work, you are really talented. It's my favorite work related to v3 and I wanted to let you know ♥

Yes yes finally! I've seen alot of people hate him solely because they think he's overrated. He died in the end for everybody, yet nobody gives him enough credit. He hated the killing game the most, and he intended to end it. It's sad to think about the fact he died believing nobody even cared a dime about him. He went through so much trauma, most of the people who hate him dont know about his past. Kokichi was an orphan and was bullied. Its said his pregame self was very fragile and emotionally unstable. Imagine being the most emotionally vulnerable out of the 16 students, yet your only friend being a robot who technically can't feel. What he needed most was somebody to vent to. He really was alone, nobody to turn to. He gave his life to save them. Yet, they believed he killed Kaito. It just-feels so wrong.

Kokichi is honestly the only character in Danganronpa that makes me generally sad to just think about. Not just because he was a cool character or because he died it'd because of the sacrifices he made. Oma could have befriended everyone instead of causing constant problems but he knew from the start that making friends would cause grief in the end so he put up his wall of lies and made everyone despise him for so many reasons. He goes so far as to force a murder to happen in the hands of Gonta and pretend he was the mastermind just so he could follow through with his plan to end the killing game. I truly believe he cared for everyone still alive at that point even though they all hated him. All he wanted to do from the very beginning was save his friends even if it meant sacrificing himself.
Its been 4 years and I still remember watching this on a daily basis in 2020 omg.

i’m personally not the biggest fan of kokichi, but i do feel bad for him. i feel like even if he could be annoying sometimes, he got the shaft in character development. i don’t like throwing shade at the devs but i feel kokichi should have gotten a bit more backstory and development. it really just felt like he was only bad because he was self aware.

I never was able to truly understand kokichi but after seeing this video it crushed my heart that no one really wanted to be around him because they though he was dangerous, but he was just trying to same everyone, and none of the other characters really cared much about his death like the rest of the peaple that died.
