i think it’s a nice detail despite it actually being unintentional. daisy (the creator) worked on different parts of this animation at once, with the beginning of this section being the oldest animated part, and then she worked on the section some more over time as her style changed. this took more than a year, after all. but it’s a fun thing to speculate about, since there IS a lot to analyze in this animation
The way the line “ Someone Help Me “ is absolutely gorgeous. Not saying that the rest of the song isn’t it was just a highlight to me. The way the person swings around as they transform is just mesmerising to me.

2:38-3:04, I especially like the part where she copies the man’s movements while the lyric “doctor I can’t tell if I’m not me” is playing. Really clever
why is no one talking about 1:40? the movement of the brain and characters is so readable yet it’s so chaotic. it feels real, like a sticky ocean the characters are trying to escape from. that kind of motion, especially with this many frames, must be so hard to capture correctly yet daisy has. it’s immensely impressive, and if i had a favorite part, this would probably be it. however it’s hard for me to choose a favorite part because all of this animation is so damn good.

My jaw is on the FLOOR. As a major Tally Hall fan and animation student you have ALL my respect and more. AMAZING animation, thank you for sharing your hard work!!!
This animation and song pair perfectly together and I still can’t get over how fluid it is it feels so amazing like at 2:26 to 3:03 like I can’t get over it it’s just pleasing to my eyes
3:01 I never noticed that the lower octave "himself" is also singing in this part. This animation is so perfectly adapted to the details that I couldn't help but notice how fitting it was to have two figures singing there and so I noticed
@@randomAccount405 I don't think that the animator edited the song, I think it's originally like that, but instead the version without the reminder part got more popular and surpassed the original.
I cannot describe how hyped I’ve been for this. Tally Hall is one of my favorite bands of all time, and this little side project of theirs shows so much of their talent. Not only that, you’re such an amazing animator, this is THE BEST animation I’ve seen of this song, any other pales in comparison. Worth the wait, can’t wait for what’s next!
@@hunhun7155 people say it about digital art and digital animation, though they usually get dunked on if they publicly say digital animation/art isn't a talent
I’d say that artists should be praised more for their skill - “talent” implies an automatic proficiency and kind of undercuts the tons of hard work and practice that got them to where they are today. That said, I think this artist has a talent for creativity, and great, GREAT skill with putting it out into the world. Bravo Daisy!
I wish I could see an entire movie that was this fluidly and creatively animated. I rewatched this like 10 times by now. 2:38 is my favorite segment, so much happens yet (if you watch it slowed down) you can see where everything comes from and how it ends up where it is
This is so terrifying and beautiful at the same time. The colors are so vivid and make each scene more striking than the last. So unique in it's design and animation. A true piece of art honestly, and I hope we can see more in the future.
This is such a masterpiece, the animation is so smooth yet so complex at the same time, I’m so glad to finally see this in completion because wow that was genuinely one of the best works of art I think I’ve ever seen.
Purple demon is both so hot and so silly, I love him!!! Also, king of facial expressions: 0:38 (genius how the eyes are on the beat of the music, darting between the judge and the main character) and the little tongue bite with the eye shining at 2:26.
I agree mostly but in my humble opinion negation and anger should be switched and he feels wrath and acts out after he tries to deny it. Viewing it as a good thing but his lies to himself can't help him so his pain and emotions burst out of his head.
I realized the more insane the main character gets, he turns into the cartoonish looking style, as you can see from the start, its a smooth and nice sketch, pretty much a cartoon realism style, and then in the end you see he is now a rubberhose style character, this animation is very detailed indeed. still not enough views
@@GamerDetected it’s actually because daisy worked on different parts of the animation at the same time and continued to do that throughout the year while her art style changed. the part of audric begging is said to be the oldest part of the entire animation, and it’s in a completely different style after according to daisy. but i also like to think it can have a deeper meaning! i sorta saw it as a journey for audric’s development as a person throughout the animation
Wow- this looks like a Disney animation/musical this is so cool! And the song goes perfectly with the entire theme. Beautiful animations where the small details are so subtle you sometimes don’t see them and perfect transitions are amazing and this one nailed it. I watched this out of curiosity and came back to watch it over and over again because of the pure effort and amazing detail.
3:14 OMG I LOVE THIS DETAIL: AT THE BEGINNING, WE SEE SOMEONE IN A BLACK COAT WITH A STICK APPEAR IN FRONT OF HIM, AND NOW AT THE END, WE LEARN THAT GUY IS HIM
@@IBZogTheGreatyou can read their (the person who animated this, daisy) webcomic to better understand the characters and their dynamic and why they made this animation the way it is
can we also talk about how the calmness of the song in the end credits is such a nice touch, it feels like a cooldown from the sheer magnitude of the animation itself
I put the song at a lower speed to study the movement and this is so freaking beautiful. Mesh between insanity and the beauty of the unknowable Edit: I love the webtoon as well! The dynamic between Grim and Audric makes me want to know more about the story! I’ve already watched this animatic 5 times
I believe the web comic will soon be moved from Webtoon to Daisy's website since it will no longer suit Webtoon's audience. As of today it should still be there
this is so inspiring to me. i love that the frames are messy but flow so nicely together as opposed to trying to make a clean animation with a lot less frames.
The sequence from 2:26 to 2:29 is my favorite. Not enough people talking about that. It's already masterfully animated, but the glare added to Grim's eyes makes the motion that much more fluid and believable. Crazy. Instantly one of my favorite animations ever. I can only hope to achieve a fraction of this kind of talent someday.
The song itself is already amazing in lyrics and story telling, the animation does so well to match the story in visuals and emotions without being over bearing or extremely grotesque.
For me it's really important question, sometimes I just can't understand lyrics by hearing and does it the same for people who speaks English their whole life?
This is the kinda stuff that plays in my head when I listen to music. Lotsa animations and stuff that I’m not skilled or energized enough to bring to life like this
Thank you for all the time and effort you put into this animation and for inspiring so many of us! It has been such an honor to see your process and an absolute pleasure seeing/learning about your characters. I cannot wait to see your future works 💕
Man, as a non-animator. This really made me feel how animators on 2D movies work. If you made this ALONE in a year. Imagine a hundred! Thanks for this great animation!
1:09 this part scratches my brain so good!! The Emotion in the skipping cycle and then transitioning to most possibly a feeling of panic when he sees the two demons.
2:15 is definitely my favorite part, but every frame of this is an absolute masterpiece. The way you make it hard to focus on one thing for certain sections and the way you use the stiller scenes creates a perfectly confusing but amazing experience. It’s so clear how much talent and skill went into this even just in each frame. It fits the song but also perfectly encapsulates the story and your own creativity and mind. Well done.
Holy SHIT this is amazing. It captures the chaotic confusing nature of the song SO WELL and the animation is genuinely so fluid. I don't think I can even put into words how much I love this.
SAME its kind of fitting thematically too how different parts are just older and said parts are scattered throughout. It just really adds to the experience even if the viewer never saw the previous teasers
I remember looking at animations for this song close to 4-5 years ago and just thinking about how much potential there was in this song. Just the end part with her is my favorite. her voice is just so perfect and goes with the song so well
This section alone encapsulates how I feel daily and it hurts
Same that is my fav
why is no one talking about 1:40? the movement of the brain and characters is so readable yet it’s so chaotic. it feels real, like a sticky ocean the characters are trying to escape from. that kind of motion, especially with this many frames, must be so hard to capture correctly yet daisy has. it’s immensely impressive, and if i had a favorite part, this would probably be it. however it’s hard for me to choose a favorite part because all of this animation is so damn good.
ITS ALSO ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PARTS!! It's so fluid and shows so much struggle and panic in the frames i love it, daisy is so talented
reminds of Tetsuo in Akria
Sticky ocean... Just imagine, how horrifying it would be.

Is awesome tho see someone so talent make this things with the tally hall.
I love how the girl during the “see how the brain plays around” mimics him, on top of that, the animation is unfathomably smooth
Watching this at .25 speed is so enchanting, seeing all the frames and motions played out so satisfyingly.
That's for it
I was about to comment about this! Its very cool
Even at the speed it’s still so fast paced you get a headace
The audios cursed when played at that speed💀💀

This animation and song pair perfectly together and I still can’t get over how fluid it is it feels so amazing like at 2:26 to 3:03 like I can’t get over it it’s just pleasing to my eyes
3:01 I never noticed that the lower octave "himself" is also singing in this part. This animation is so perfectly adapted to the details that I couldn't help but notice how fitting it was to have two figures singing there and so I noticed
OH MY GOD
The man really edited the song for the animation, what a legend
@@randomAccount405 I don't think that the animator edited the song, I think it's originally like that, but instead the version without the reminder part got more popular and surpassed the original.
@@alligatoralligator. I guess🤷♂️

I cant believe people would say art/animation isn't a talent/job when this exists

Holy shit, genuinely the best music video I have ever seen. The colors the art… it’s perfect,
Never have I seen the principles of stretch and sqaush be used this well before, an absolute feast for the eyes. Amazingly done!
I wish I could see an entire movie that was this fluidly and creatively animated. I rewatched this like 10 times by now. 2:38 is my favorite segment, so much happens yet (if you watch it slowed down) you can see where everything comes from and how it ends up where it is

Absolutely incredible work. Can’t stop watching this part especially.
i really like how the horn guy is really elastic, he feels more like a liquid than a solid figure.

Not to mention how well the story is told, and how intriguing it makes the characters feel!

I never forgot abt this, no matter how many times I watch this I’ll never get bored of it
I realized the more insane the main character gets, he turns into the cartoonish looking style, as you can see from the start, its a smooth and nice sketch, pretty much a cartoon realism style, and then in the end you see he is now a rubberhose style character, this animation is very detailed indeed.

I wondered what was the correlation to his for lack of a better word “inconsistent“ form and now I do thanks
0:35 the way the purple guy looks over like "yo dude, you okay?" Is fucking sending me 😂💀

this is so inspiring to me. i love that the frames are messy but flow so nicely together as opposed to trying to make a clean animation with a lot less frames.

Well done.
