@GO Gamer my daughter placed a styrofoam plate on top of my Xbox series x and it overheated. Now when I turn it on it turns of and if it does turn on it doesn’t display to screen . The fan kicks on if I turn it off and on a few times
I dont know what was wrong with my series x. It would immediately shut down after hitting the power button. I tried your 3 button trick to get it into safe mode and now it works perfectly fine. You saved me a ton of grief. Thanks man
My son’s Series X is over a year old and it is doing the exact same thing it won’t stay on I tried the sync, eject, power method and it won’t go into power mode it is also making a slight electrical crackle when plugging in power cable to Xbox it’s probably the same problem. My question is are parts more accessible now a year later for proper repairs???

@@RBKing80 you sure? I’ve had my ps5 for longer than my Xbox, by about 6 months, and i haven’t had one single issue with it. But my Xbox series X won’t even turn on anymore. It does the same thing the one in this video does

i have this issue with my one x. Was playing overwatch and everyone went invisible on the game turned my console off to try and fix it and now it wont turn back on. It wont even send signal to the tv that its on and just cuts off 😭

@@johntran2121 no man I was just in the middle of a competitive game of overwatch between rounds when I selected my character and spawned in everyone was invisible and so i tried turning it off by controller but it didn’t work so I got up and hit the power button and it never came back on 😭
Here to report that I also am having this issue. Hard crash and shutdown shortly after launching BG3 in coop. No issues in 3 months prior. Also, recently changed to standby during power down for cloud play. Powers on for a few seconds, then turns off. Cloud play recognizes console is on, when it clearly isn’t. Tried swapping power cords, hard resetting, power cycling. Nothing seems to make a difference 🤷♂️.

Scary that the ground shorted & melted...this seems like a design issue and could cause a serious shock or fire. An inline fuse would save all this hassle and threat. MS should be repairing these issues free out of warranty.

It only makes a beep once and that is it. Any idea what it could be?
very good but for safety i sugest to use a little bit of hot glue on the joint that you have done, electric tape is not a good choice in this scenarios
is there a way to confirm if the main board and daughters board are the correct pair for each other. say if you mixed them up? besides testing over and over? aswell as the SSD XBFS. is there a way to verify its the correct XBFS
Mine goes on for a few seconds nothing gets displayed then turns off. Use to be if I would leave it plugged in for a day then it would work but not anymore

Something similar happened to my xbox series S but the turn off was not that fast. Then after like 40 min it was back to normal but after 5 minutes boom off again. After 3 days (and a factory reset i managed to do) its normal again (no random shutting off) Microsoft wtf. Have someone experienced and issue like this?
If your on series x, if you have a external hard drive in remove it and boot the console. That worked for me and then just replugged in the storage drive

I always shut down my Series S completely from the full shutdown option. But it still happened. I hadn't used it for two days then turned it on last Friday. This issue!
I'm using a surge protector and this still happened to me. I wonder if this is more of a Microsoft manufacturing issue like the red ring of death for Xbox 360 if you were around back then. Might take a class action lawsuit to get MS motivated to deal with it rather then letting the cost fall on the consumers.
@@hunterling8788 I think it's a factory issue so there is no fix. Maybe you can take it to a repair place, but if you have a warranty or something just return it and get a new one.

There is a Fuse in the PSU. I agree for faults like this with a proper investigation (bench test) PSU that MS should replace/repair for free.

Could be a bad hard drive, retimer chip/ hdmi chip, or bad apu ( bad motherboard for heat flexing)
Had same issue. Best bet send it back to Xbox for repairs they will email u a shipping label an it will take 4-5 days to get there. Strongly recommend

If you want to make double sure, sometimes I like to put a dab of hot glue on there both as insulation and mechanical reinforcement

Try turning off TV first and then turning Xbox back on while the TV is off.
