Is it me? Do you ever think once, you've gone to far? I'm doing a burst and I'm thinking I went to far, that's why I bought a laminated ES 175 China body (my first) and I think if it doesn't work? So far it looks angry. An Angrybirst like I waited 50 yrs of playng and I'm making my first hollowbody and I'm making my first hollowbody electric an Angryburst. My electronic's same and different. I was raised in a TV repair shop that my father owned an operated over my first 20 years and 50 yrs of playing and learning, but I never thought of building some guitars until my first hardbody was dying. I was built by al professional nass maker. So then I made one. And like it. And now I'm making another but liter and my love with wood is weird, but the look of grade 5A flame to scallop is mesmerizing! Today I split a cord of an Olive Tree and the Nation's Revere honor natural wood of Israel. It's taking me 5 year to break this piece of a log and I still need to split a 2nd board really another log like the 1st!

How do you finish the back, also with tru-oil? I'm also looking at options for finishing a flame maple over alder body and have heard that Alder doesn't take stain. I'm looking to do a darker blue back but am fine with seeing the brown through it.
