    I went through it during the first two months taking 1mg fin daily. It wasn't "ball pain" at all, it was just a little discomfort that went away within the treatment. I had a feeling of heightened sensitivity when moving or sitting. I also noticed that my semen became less thick in those first few months, which also reversed throughout the treatment. I am now on my tenth month using 1mg fin without any side effect. I think we should let our system make the necessary adjustments without forgetting that we live within homeostasis machines.

    Hi Kevin, you overlooked one aspect of testicular pain. I've been dealing with horrific pelvic pain for 2.5 years that made me bedridden, forced me to stop working and had to learn how to walk again. Hey Kevin, could you possibly make a video (or just give your thoughts here) on Vitamin K2 as a mechanism to fight/reverse balding? The theory is that supplementing high doses of vitamin K2 can stop/reverse calcification in the scalp caused by baldness. Have you heard anything about this? Sounds like it could be useful in conjunction with finasteride to help maximize hair growth, especially in areas that have little to no hair left on the scalp. Thanks, Mann.

    • @haircafekevin
      @haircafekevin  6 месяцев назад

      I'm not sure I'm ready to jump down every Reddit rabbit hole. Calcification isn't causing hair loss. It occurs at the end of the process along with fibrosis, but it's at the final stages. So even if vitamin K2 affected calcification it wouldn't stop hair loss. So I don't know if it's worth a video, but I'll consider it.

    Can confirm my balls hurt the first few weeks when I started finasteride (not a lot though). Never heard of it so doubt it was nocebo. Went away though. Funny enough it did not happen when I switched to dutasteride 0,5 mg nor when I increased the dose to 2,5 mg.

    • @exactly1176
      @exactly1176 6 месяцев назад

      It did happen to me as well. Finasteride did hurt my balls (a little little bit) during the first week. But then the " pain " disappeared and never came back.
      Nowadays I'm on dutasteride 0.5mg everyday and no pain at all.
      That was definitely weird during the first. But I was not worried since the pain was very very mild and not bothering me too much and I knew it was a temporary side effects anyway .

Though your heart may still act up on that analogy, your scalp won't let you down under fin, so there's an advantage...

      Yes, it sounds like a treatment shed. Shedding will be much more aggressive for diffuse thinners because they have more telogen hairs across their scalp. Give it a few more months to stabilize, you should be fine.

    Hi, are we absolutly sure that our body doesnt developp any kind of tolerance from finasteride. Are we sure that the fact that for a lot of people finasteride is less efficace with time is only due to a sensitivity to the dht remaining and not to a tolerance develloped. Im asking that because i want to start it in prevention.

    Hey, i my hair started thinning about 10 to 11 months ago on the middle of my head and then my hairline also started to recede more and more every week a noticed more thinning or receding at my scalp and it didn't stop now. I lost probably 60 to 70 of percent od hair on my scalp. My father is in his mid 60s and he has 40 percent hair on his head and my brother is 40 and he also has about 60 percent hair that is not thinning. But he doesn't have a bald spot. I am trying nizoral and i am going to see a doctor as fast as possible so i can talk about which things i should test in my bloodwork to see if i am sensitive for side effects of finasteride and i hope that im one of the majority that isn't sensitive to them. I got told by a doctor that inflammation can increase the strength of male pattern baldness. I know this video says that its not true, but i am so shocked that my hair is falling out so fast, do cases exist were people with aga went bald in 1 - 2 years ? And if it would be true that inflammation speeds up hairloss, would it also speed up the dying off of the hairfolicles. Because i am looking for a treatment to regrow my bald spots without minoxidil because i did read that it decreases in efficiency after 5 to 10 years and that it isn't a help forever. What do you think about microneedling with topical finasteride, but i guess it is going more systemic this way right ? If you know other treatments or things that would regrow my hair on the bald spots except minoxidil,
    Thanks for the long read but pls answer 🙏🏻🙏🏻. I would be very thankful for every answer. 🙌🏻

      Dut 0.5 mg is VERY powerful. Don't freak out if you get a shed from it, because a shed is expected. You have to be patient and give it time. Ultimately you have the potential to go to 2.5 mg of dut per day if you want the ultimate stack, but you really should just give 0.5 mg a day a chance. Also, you should be on topical minoxidil if you aren't on it already. Don't be depressed. Stay positive. But be patient. It can take 6 months to a year to see real results.
