Rumor has it that comments from early screenings say that this is the first time in the dceu where the protagonist actually feels like a flesh out, empathetic character; that's fucking good news right there!!!!

Wow a superhero actually giving a super heroic speech to the villain. Now a days movies try to make the hero so "cool" and "badass" all they do is make angry faces and throw ppl through walls. They forget that these are still golden age heroes and there's nothing wrong wit a cheesy speech every now and then.

Except Captain America, who still stands for right, against wrong, and doesn't hide that fact. But yeah, super-heroes these days are more like anti-heroes, and the "good vs evil" is really more like bad guys vs bad guys, with one side being called the good guys.
Seeing comments regarding sync issues, but everything looks and sounds great on our end. Try refreshing.

You all are the best! I'm very excited for this movie, and I really want it to be good. My favorite moment in the trailer was actually the gag in the last 5 seconds or so with the sword. "Can we put the sword down?" "It doesn't go with your outfit... at all!" Hahaha!
You all need to remember, she is technically, the first official DCEU superhero because this takes place during WW1, and even before! she's 5000 years old... I really like that haha!
I'm in the minority, I don't think Wonder Woman needs to be the savior of the DCEU mostly because people did enjoy at least 2 out of the 3 movies that have been released so far. I think where the pressure comes from is that this needs to be the first female superhero movie that is good, that won't fall flat on its' face (ie Supergirl,Catwoman,Elektra & countless others that just flat out didn't work for one reason or other)
People are looking to Wonder Woman to shift the overall tone of the DCEU from a dour, depressing, overly-serious one, to one of hope and heroism.

Can we stop with we don't understand Man of Steel/ BVS comments? Man of Steel was ok, but BVS was a trainwreck, because the people behind it didn't care about the characters.

Do you care to explain? And before you say this is some Marvel fanboy stuff, I think most comic fans would agree that the Dark Knight is probably the greatest comic book movie so far.
Just to be clear Darkseid was created before Thanos in the comics, for the people who don't know that and might think Darkseid is a copy but in reality Thanos is lol...
We have emerged from the print age - thankfully we have entered the age of the moving picture. The Marvel cinematic universe came first, as will Thanos, the film character. The first Cap movie (with a heart-of-gold leader with a shield set against the backdrop of a World War) came before this WW movie. WW as a film character is therefore a copy.

just to be clear, out of the 3 dceu movies so far, only SS is mediocre. the other 2 were good/great.
You guys and beautiful guest host make watching these movies even more fun than they would by themselves. This movie is going to be so much fun. I cant wait for my daughters (3) to see it.

We are about to witness some epic stuff! I'm crying tears of joy.
I think Chris Pine was the perfect choice for Trevor. His comedic timing is Spot on and he is not emasculated and still stays true to his character. Trevor holds his own while not overpowering WW. Really digging this film.
Before the trailers came out I feared a very heavy handed feminist overtones. To me, WW is just a hero. Not a female hero, a hero. Her character, her moral compass makes her an exemplary and compelling character, not the fact that she's female.
I'm glad she's a role model for women and girls everywhere. I hope that many young girls discover the amazing character of WW. I had just feared that men would be demonized and so far it doesn't look that way. Patty Jenkins is an amazing Director and I'll be there opening night.
so hype for this movie. low expectations but the trailers make it hard to do so. summer needs to come soon!!!
I go to these movies mostly because I love these characters and want to spend time with them. It looks like I'm going to get that.

The name of the main character in the series, "Princess Diana", "Diana Prince" or "Wonder Woman" takes its name from that of this pilot woman, as well as her costume, made from the pilot's uniform. Amazons venerated. And we could think that the son , Steve Trevor , is going to go where his mom die.
I thought this was the weakest of the trailers we've seen so far...however that's because the trailers have refused to give any more plot details or reveal the main villain of the film. So really I'm not complaining because the trailer was pretty good anyways.

Totally agree with Dani about being positive, or at least neutral, when going into movies. Don't go in negative. Let the film push you one way or another. Great discussion from all and enjoyed having Dani here.
I will say I think Hector's nose looks kind of big and Agustin's jaw is too bulky. Don't get me started on Adam's posture. Can we get that chest pushed out some more Adam?

I have been a huge WW fan since I was a kid. One thing that I'm really hoping for in this movie that was not much in the animated movie is super strength, not all swordplay. Seeing her throw the truck did it for me. I just hope there's more of that.

Thank you Dani. People go in to DC films expecting to hate it and compare it to Marvel. Iron Man was well received Incredible Hulk wasn't, Iron Man 2 wasn't, Thor wasn't, Captain America wasn't. Avengers was the pay off from those films. People went back and appreciated those not so well received films. Like people forget this. Batman motivation was fighting crime for 20yrs and believing his efforts was in vein. Criminals grow like weeds. Dead Robin. The fear of not being in control of his fate like as a child when witnessing his parents murder. Alfred explained this in the film. DC dialogue is so strong in these films . Marvel has heart felt moments but the tone switches so often to light hearted to serious tone feels like it's getting old already. I like both Marvel and DC and their films should have a different tone to separate them. Keeps the genre fresh.
OK. So you guys just want a DC film that is structured like a Marvel one? Do you eat other burgers or just McD's? Kudos for saying you hate you going into movies with a negative vibe.

Miloš Bekić The German officer played by Danny Houston is not Ares. Ares is being played by David Thewliss in the movie.

Interesting conversation and reaction. I want this film to be good for a myriad of reasons and will be watching it when release. Two points still give my slight pause to this film though:
1. It's still the DCEU and so far have been let down (at best) by their films.
2. Everything in the WW trailers has worked (for me) so far but the humor. Idk it its the overall tone or perhaps it's just not my kind of jokes, but the attempts at levity and humor in the trailers have not really landed for me.
Still hoping for the best.
Diana is talking about saving the world during WW1 and not in the current day... so its prior to aliens and monsters and other heroes.
If it's Ares, wouldn't he know who Diana is?

Well Thanos was a rip off of Darkseid, but each company has ripped each other off. The ending of the trailer was definitely the beginning of the fight with her and Ares who is in human form. We have seen him in previous trailers too. I don't see this movie being as good as the animated film from 2009 which is a great movie, but I just hope it's good.
My only worry is that editors screw up WW just 2 get a WW extended cut and I'm sick of the DECU doing this.
i feel like ppl made thier opinions about this movie already.. maybe dc should use a trick from marvel movies and advertise the movie as if its the greatest movie of all time... you know play with peoples heads...cause u kno that works

Hector doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about...MOS was a full origin story,and that movie was filled with his motivation and character development..every scene with Joe-El showed motivation ..and MOS was extremely hopeful...and in BVS we know full well what Bruce's motivation was and character arc...hence the Alfred scene...BVS was also filled with heroism. BVS was a success money wise ,just because it fell slightly short of a billion does mean it crashed and burned....these iconic characters have have several movies in the past that did far worse than BVS....and SS won 2 major awards .

After getting super hyped by the BVS and Suicide Squad trailers and being disappointed in both, I'm going in with super low expectations and I hope I get blown away

Now, reactions about the trailer: I love the guitar theme a lot, but is it me, but it's out of place in the trailers, except in the first one. Kickass theme, but play it when it fits, ppl!
As for the rest, I liked when she said "I am Diana of Themyscira..." Gave me chills. But, I just hope it's good. Not even great. Just GOOD.

This is for Hector , Batman didn't need an origin story,and we all know why Batman does what he does.Bruce gets his character from Batman, so he didn't need a character motivation for fighting crime in BvS.
To ask an audience to bring 75 years of comic book history with them to a movie, but them also ask them to forgive drastically changing the point of the character, is contradictory and lazy.
When you compare certain Batman movies, his motivation in BvS is weaker and doesn't work as well as it has in the past.

I have to disagree with Hector that, we needed more background information for Batman in BVS. However I do agree he was pretty flimsy in motivations in BVS. Especially that the character had turned into a gun toting lunatic. What's the difference between him and punisher at that point?

Not only were we getting a new Batman but they were obviously changing key aspects of the character, so yeah that needed to be explained and should have been explained better.
funny, the fact that marvel copied most of its characters from DC, yet they want to establish those copied characters on the big screen before DC introduces the actual original characters in theaters.

Once I was able too watch it on lunch but damn, chaboy just want to get into some jammies, roll up, and watch on my time. I know this is different and I'll tell you what indomitable 👌... but that my time thing was one of four parts of what made superhero news great ( ... a lot of parts went into making that show great but it sounded good)

When someone come from other country and try to speak other language is normal the acent don't go away so easy. I don't have problem with her acent but i know some peoples have, but i don't blame the actress, they choice her and she was just doing her job. If WB care about this they should not choice her in first place and avoid the critics cause i think they know this was coming . She and Henry Cavil was the only no american in the Justice League cast, but he is british and have more on screen experience like superhero so we can't put them in the same level. The future will say if this is gonna work.
