Hey Jay, I’m Dominican-American and I’ve been in the states for almost 20 years. There’s no one day that I don’t think about going back there and you just nailed it on all the reasons why DR doesn’t get out of my mind. I just found your channel last week and I’m loving it. But I’ve been watching your wife since she started.

Hey Jay. I know people who live in Ghana for over 30 years who wouldn't move back to the US under any circumstances! It's the same in many other nations where expats have moved and lived long term. Black and white! Once we get a taste of what life is really like in other parts of the world its mind expanding and mind changing. Safer, cheaper, more enriching on multiple levels. Peace out.

Facts, it's a lot of propaganda that all immigrants are dying to get to America. Well that maybe true to are certain extent but what they don't tell you that many of them once they realize what going on head back to their country. And many more would leave if they knew they could afford the lifestyle in their home country.

I moved from Santo Domingo to Mexico last year and I agree with every bit mentioned in this video. The healthcare is affordable. I spent $80 monthly for two people on health insurance. I had some minor procedures without any issue. For the most part, the people are great. Though Mexico has some advantages over DR, I would still recommend DR to people who are looking for a slower-paced, laid-back lifestyle in the Caribbean.

One way is finding a company in the States that allows you to work remotely. Or join some of the online freelancer platforms and create a profile like Upwork.com. This is where I got my first online gig. Another way is create a business around your skillset and become a subject matter expert and provide a service.

I shared with co-workers that I will be moving to Panama and I got so much hateful comments about living in a foreign country. It was unbelievable to me that people would be so against me moving from the US. On the topic of food I did a test while I was in Panama. I bought some chicken from Popeyes and noticed it didn’t bother my stomach and I did same with KFC and I had no problems so I’m convinced that the food here in America is killing us.

In today's world, you go where you are treated best. Everyone is looking for the best life possible wherever it may be. Matter of fact, I know a few people who left Miami to Santo a while ago and never looked back. The country offers lots of direct international flights, great restaurant options, global entertainment venues, lower taxes, shopping ect..... Not everyone can manage to leave but if you can, why not?

Those that would send negativity has most likely never traveled out of the country. Tina Turner moved to Switzerland. Marvin Gaye moved to London for awhile. Josephine Baker (1906 - 1975) moved to France. George Clooney moved to Italy. Jimi Hendrix (1942 - 1970) moved to London for a better record deal. I know of a dude from Atlanta who rents out 4 units there, has 2 Air BnB's in DR and decided to live in Thailand. It's best to understand ones preference rather than hate on the choices of the preference.

Another great video Jay and on point with every statement. I have always said, we all need to get off the struggle bus in the US. The US has the lowest life expectancy compared to countries with a similar GDP. The US has the highest cost in healthcare compared to similar countries yet it still has an average 8 years lower life expectancy than those countries. In the US you get to pull Social Security at age 62 however you don’t get to pull full social security benefits until you reach Full Retirement Age, (FRA), at 67. That said life expectancy in the US is around 76 years old. Bottom line is that you work to survive in the US and the expectation is that you may never get to live long enough to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Keep the value information coming and ignore the naysayers and nonbelievers. 🙏🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪💪💪
