The sound and feel of a pure strike never gets old !
One of the best shots in recent memory. Really incredible, this is Tiger of old.
That is the single sickest sound off a golf club i have ever heard !
This is my texting ringtone
Cole Weinstein seriously? share the download link?
Monty Dhaliwal got a new pc :(
Wow totally agree, i listened to it on mute, then saw ur comment and went back with the sound on. Holy crap so pure
/watch?v=iEZbiIltYHE
listen to the last two shots
Softer landing than my damn 60 deg wedge
Arfdog saaaammmmmeeeeee........
rory and tiger hit shots like this periodically, and it gives you reason to live when you witness it, even months later on youtube. You can relate to it, because we've all tried to pull of the miracle shot, but rarely do we follow it with a fist pump. it's what makes golf such a cool game.
Lmao reason to live
Played for the first time yesterday and I can appreciate this much more now that I saw first hand how hard that shot is.
238 yards with a 5 wood and sticks it within 3 feet....god damn...
I’m barely hitting my driver 250. My 5 wood you would think I’m short and laying up 😂😂😂.
I hate all the debate on this video. As a skilled golfer, I can tell you that he had to hit down on that 5 wood and that he did not try to hit that hard at all. He held off his finish, (notice the open clubface) and he tried to hit a piercing shot with a lot of spin that would take advantage of the soft greens. It does not matter if you love him or hate him, nobody debating this video hits great golf shots in clutch situation like this man does.
I'm more skilled than you and I have better clubs
@@ssbsnb1200 ur j jealous that he’s way better at golf than u!
@@shayaankim1430 you're just projecting because you know all of my golf polos are custom made
As soon as he started walking my heart started pounding, what a killer shot.
Watched it live with dad, not a golfer myself but that sound.... when you hear it... how pure it is and his follow on the ball, something different from the 78 million other car key jabbed in our ears shots we hear every day.
he hits it so hard he actually jumps back before impact
That sound and divot was amazing!
Love the sound of that shot
Absolutely incredible! Tiger is number one for good reason!!!
it's just amazing that the ball stop like that when he is using wood and not iron.. wow just wow!
That was more spin than I get on my Gap Wedge sometimes.
Good shot is an understatement......
What an incredible strike! Are u kidding me!? Sick
gotta be one of my favorite Tiger shots. that gallery reaction is amazing
Fairways must have been pretty slick, look how much his feet slid backwards on impact! Impressive balance.
Damn, that was a good shot!
that shot is absolutely ridiculous.
My favorite tiger woods shot ever for some reason this ain’t even his best shot either
If you actually golf you appreciate this shot 1000 times more because you understand how much skill a shot like this would take. Incredible.
Goose bumps!
INcredible. Took a nice divot like a wedge shot.
this guy pretty good who ishe?
Ishaan Kapoor never seen him before.
his name is lion tree
Ishaan Kapoor God
Leopard mahogany
Jaguar Forest is his name I believe.
0:33 This is one of my favorite TW shots. Look at the descent angle!
Nothing like a 3 footer for eagle
Nothing like 3 putting for par
When you flushed it, you know.
Holy shit i watched this at the course, he's a fucking beast
What a shot
Truth. This is an INCREDIBLE shot
Showed him how to play that particular shot many years ago, i taught him well 😊 👍
When Tiger talks the ball listens!
238 yards and he’s actually in between clubs. I wish I had that problem.
I'm between clubs at 238 yards too...driver and whatever club is longer than that.
500 balls a day for decades and a ton of experience, nothing like any corporate friday afternoon wannabe 'golfer'.
CoughingPig 500 balls a day is nothing hahaha, most pros probably hit thousands
How he generated that spin from 5wood.
Lol Tha Goat ... just tha best golfer ever this guy
Classic Tiger moments
simply the GOAT
WOW THE TIGER IS ON THE PROWL, LOOK OUT, HE'S OUT TO GET YOU
GO , , , TIGER . . . GO
It was a 238 yard shot so I'm guessing it was a 5 wood, but nonetheless still a sick shot. Louis's shot was a 4 iron, too.
THE SOUND of impact everyone who's ever hit a golf ball yearns for.
Really in the ZONE! We certainly expect him to give us that, from time to time. No?
That was about six months ago. Yes, Tiger will rehab and we will see MUCH more of those kind of shots.
well, he has the right last name alright
He's really playing some great golf again. Look out in 2014.
ok that was sick
What a strike that was. Cosmic.
lt was uphill, of course he took a divot. He's hitting into the slope.
You're an idiot. That's as much an "uphill lie" as an airport runway. It was a sloping fairway, not an uphill lie.
TheArfdog
You're an idiot. If it is a fairway that is sloping upwards, it is an uphill lie.
Harry he has done it before...the sick sounds.
notice how he takes a divot with a three wood. ben Hogan also took divots with his fairway woods. some experts want you to pick the fairway woods and hit moonshots, tiger takes a more classic approach
I'd love to see that swing in super slow motion.
+W. Jones click on the video settings and set a slower playback speed... you can do it on all youtube videos when viewing on a browser on your computer
good lord
I’ve never seen a divot like that with a 3 wood in my entire life
Sounded so flush
Magic shot!.
i watch this every hour
Classic Tiger.
I sincerely doubt a golf ball has ever been struck more pure than that.
What I would do to have those screams for me...
wow
Beast mode. :D
THE GOAT
Wow.
the G.O.A.T.
He hit that ball so hard it knocked the white off of it.
Legend
That has to be the best 260+ yard shot I have even seen Tiger hit. I think this was a 3 wood. I think the only better woods I have seen were phil at the british this year on a sunday but he did get alot of roll, and Louis Oosthuizen at the masters the year bubba won also on a Sunday. Louis also got alot of roll and double eagled that one.
Those Nike Covert woods are nice, I still use the 3 wood--not like Tiger, but not bad.
The stopping it wasn't magic. Uphill lie, into the wind a little, very soft greens, well struck shot. I think getting the carry that exact is far more impressive, anyone else playing in the event probably could have gotten it to stop like that.
Ha Ha, the only problem is my friend is that no one else did...
let's get this straight. Tiger has 238 to the pin, he hits a 3wood maybe 5 degrees down, with cut, gets it there and stops it. Unbelievable. You can't do that.
3-wood is 15 degrees and 5-wood is 19 degrees.
he was referring to the fact that the ball did not roll like a lob wedge
He shot a 3 wood like a short iron. How???
That's what I noticed also ! Just don't know how the hell to do it !
It was a five wood and I'm sure the fact that coming in so steep probably gave it the extra backspin needed to land like that
+Corek BleedingHollow Looks to me like it may have been a bit wet as well? A lot of ground flies up when he hits the ball also.
Greens were just really soft but he had to launch that up in order for it to sit like that
Gus Lascola yep
I also hit a "left-to-right fade" with any club longer than an 8.
Good damn shot. And it stuck too.
Is Tiger protecting the left knee or just playing a bunt? He is a pretty strong guy.
what is his fairway loft ?
Sensible answer pls: can someone explain how he has managed to stop that dead on the green with a 3-wood??? almost unreal
asked the same question... has to be a 5 wood right....??
seff4ever
It's a little fuzzy so I can't say for sure but I'm 90% sure it says "5" on the bottom of his club at the :58 mark.
When you hit a fade that big, it causes the ball to almost float at the end of it's flight which, in turn, causes the ball to land softly. It's one of the biggest advantages of a well placed fade.
in terms of club that's usually the yardage for a 5 wood for Tiger. How he landed so soft has ago do with a couple of factors.
1. it was wet so when the ball was so high it stopped easier due to the conditions.
2. the club, tiger said he was using covert woods because he could launch them higher in the air than the previous generation of woods so that helps lead it land softer.
3. he's tiger woods.
Yeah you can get a 5 wood to stop pretty well if you hit it like a short iron like he did here. Soft, wet greens + steep angle of attack + high fade
So close...but yet so far.
Nice try though, Mr. Woods.
Watch his reaction and tell me he doesn't care about team golf.
Awesome, awesome, awesome....🙃
He says left to right fade dude
Takes a divot with a wood. Fucking power
fix ya divot please
That's the caddies job.
Searching hard for some fault, ah Connor....
@@itsnomyth144thsnd3 having a laugh mate. Chill
Just imagine how good he would have been if he never got married🤔🤔🤔🤯🤯😂😂😂😂😂
jesus christ
5 wood.
well.....did he make the putt?
its not that incredible... he used to be able to pull off shots like that back in the late 90's early 2000's with his 3 iron..
A 3 iron wouldn't stop dead like that
You try hitting a golf ball from 2 football fields away to four feet and then start talking
@@zacharyjensen8805 i've done that plenty of times.. when you become a scratch golfer, stuffed shots happen from every distance.
@@chrislsarac I'm an 8 handicap so I can't do that without some luck, regardless of that my point was that it's a damn impressive shot
@@zacharyjensen8805 well like i said, when you become a scratch golfer, it's not that impressive. you're a 8 handicap, which means you shoot on average in the mid to high 80's. sometimes even 90's at an unfamiliar course. impressive shot, of course. but incredible? i've seen more incredible from tiger.
0:37 more like 5 feet
Sick shot. How far was that? 220? 230?
238
wow. impressive
Mark Perry
He could easily hit it 270+ with that club. He flighted it with a big divot so it would plop down like a small iron. : )
What, no back problems?
Im guessing you dont watch a lot of golf
A right to left fade on a right handed player is called a draw.
He was in between injuries with an inconsistent come over the top swing and still won 5 times in a season, lmfao!
can anyone explain why he takes a divot with what seems like a 3 wood?
maybe wet and a little upslope and ... its tiger woods
it's a 5 wood. he can hit his 3 wood 260 probably. plus the 5 goes higher and lands softer being that it was softer. and it's tiger woods lol
Deliberately steeper downswing to generate ball flight higher....so it lands softer from long distance.
Id miss the putt tho
That's a baaaaaaad man
is that a steel shaft or what?
No. Blueboard 103 graphite.
