Thought they were gonna have to evacuate us because after the animation with the yeti, the yeti leaped away and we sat there for about 45-60 seconds in complete darkness before the ride started moving again. The teenagers in the back row resorted to making bird calls to pass the time. It was so much fun though!
Did this ride last week, and trust me u dont wanna miss it. This is THE ride in Disney World u have to try, along with Hollywood Studio's Rock n Roller coaster.
This ride is amazing . I would recommend going during the night time because it seems scarier , the view is beautiful , and the brown yeti scares the crap out of you . I also recommend putting your head back when you are going backwards and up . That is literally the best part . It goes so fast that you get a funny feeling as you go up . I rode it 5 times in a row bc there was no wait time .. it's one of the best rides at Disney .
@KimboCrossbow The rides might be on the tame side, but the themeing is really great. Disney always does an excellent, first-class job with the ride's theme and decorations.

when I rode this ride I was screaming my head off when I saw the yeti and so was the girl next to me and we got so scared we hugging each other and everything and then the ride tipped and she screamed I'm gonna fall off so I was like holding her arm so tight it was the scariest ride I've ever ridden (btw the girl was from my dance class so I know her) but yeah

Future Girl it is! its not hard whatsoever this was my first roller coaster ever and it was awesome! theres an 80 foot drop but the good thing ab that is ur going backwards so u definitely dont feel anything like at splash mountain. theres no gut feeling in your stomach bc i HATE that feeling. totally recommend

Jadyn Sauro Nope. Matterhorn & Everest are not to be compared as they are two very different style rides. You could compare this ride more to thunder mountain rather than the matterhorn. Which this ride is 10 times more fun than Thunder mountain.
You know I never knew that when you went backwards after the broken track it gives you the feeling you’re going upside down and it’s scared the crap out of me
His hand is right above you, but he himself is clinging to the wall a little bit away from you. And his hand swings down like he's going to grab you, but he doesn't ever actually touch anyone.
thelazymushroom also his hand won't move anyone part of the base that he is part of is cracked so instead of him moving strobe lights are used to simulate the movement. They switched the mode he's in after the base was showing lots of stress, so in order for no damage and or injuries to occur, they switched his mode.
DANG, that's a long ride. I love how Disney rides aren't just RIDES -- they tell a story!

When you go backwards you tend to feel as thou you’re going faster so it is a lot more terrifying that way

I know you may not answer, but days do you go? I have an annual pass and I'd love to wait just 10 minutes on the ride I don't get fastpass on.
This was just early in the day before most of the crowds. If you want to avoid long lines getting to the park early is the key.
