I think he's not French. We called that 'Bulol' those who cannot properly pronounce 'r', those who used 'y' or 'l' or curly 'r' instead of 'r'. That's common in kids. And there are grown ups as well who cannot pronounce 'r'. I have 3 batchmates who cannot pronounced r but they pronounce it differently. They even joke around saying they already tried eating genital of a female pig yet they still can't do 'r'. hahaha And they are childhood friends by the way.

Not even Tenyente Guevarra whom Padre Damaso always insulted The worse part was how his Don Rafael was still disrespected after death.The Church and government then were at odds about various things and Damaso hated Rafael's friendship with the authorities. He wanted the friars to rule, and have more power. During those times, they really did have more hold on the people who blindly followed due to religion.
The character Maria Clara played by Julie Anne San Jose is actually half Filipino and half Spanish because Padre Damaso is actually a Spaniard himself. That's why she is so beautiful.

I think he's not French. We called that 'Bulol' those who cannot properly pronounce 'r', those who used 'y' or 'l' or curly 'r' instead of 'r'. That's common in kids. And there are grown ups as well who cannot pronounce 'r'. I have 3 batchmates who cannot pronounced r but they pronounce it differently.
They even joke around saying they already tried eating genital of a female pig yet they still can't do 'r'. hahaha
And they are childhood friends by the way.
Exactly, Basilio obviously has a lisp. Even the way he speaks in Tagalog sounded a little off, because he cannot pronounce the "R". Lol

I think Basilio can't just pronounce r properly. Kids usually do that and there are even grown ups who can't say r properly.

Don Rafael was not an ereje and filibustero, accusations that really infuriated Ibarra. Those were lies that Padre Damaso spread to ruin Don Rafael's reputation. In the end, as said in the story, he died alone. He was not given a proper trial, at least. No one helped or could help him. Not even Tenyente Guevarra whom Padre Damaso always insulted The worse part was how his Don Rafael was still disrespected after death.The Church and government then were at odds about various things and Damaso hated Rafael's friendship with the authorities. He wanted the friars to rule, and have more power. During those times, they really did have more hold on the people who blindly followed due to religion.
The character Maria Clara played by Julie Anne San Jose is actually half Filipino and half Spanish because Padre Damaso is actually a Spaniard himself. That's why she is so beautiful.
We should get rid of the mentality that anything to do with whiteness makes anything beautiful. Beauty exists in all races.

Pregnants were not allowed to watch horror films too and a lot of people cover their faces when speaking to a pregnant in state of craving if they think they are ugly like being fat and tan and those are the traits the a pregnant often sees as cute and they feel gigil.
What a pregnant wants a pregnant gets. Cause if not, the baby will suffer. Just like what happened to may mother. If she likes something she wanted to buy it with her own money unlike others who asks their husband. My mother doesn't get what she wanted while pregnant because she can't buy what she wants. As a result, I was born with blisters in my face and parents should lick my face until it heals.
Pinay cravings are so weird and complex to what they want. Take Viy cortez as an example, she asked her bf (now fiance) to find her macaroni but not any other macaroni, she wants a macaroni na niluto ng nanay ng kapitbahay na nilagay sa ref at itinago sa bisita ( a macaroni coocked by a mom of the neighbor that was put into the fridge and kept to the visitors) her bf CongTV was so stressed how will he find it.
