  • @MFEGoingDeep I had never been to this lake or really to this part of the state and found it to be a really beautiful area! I hadn’t really even heard of the place till I began researching different bodies of water to explore, especially ones that had some historical significance. This one immediately got my attention. The area I explored on the lake tentatively was the area where the original Flagstaff village once was before the lake was made by building a Dam on the Dead River, creating Flagstaff Lake a few years after World War 2. The area’s residents and most of its buildings were all relocated before this happened according to the many different accounts I’ve read and could find but I had to have a look to see what still might remain. Whatever might still be here as you will see in this short video will be difficult to see at best in the dark murky waters. I said to myself when doing this that I would make a video here and even though it’s not exactly what I had in mind you can at least see what it’s like in the lake as well as some pickerel, cusk and perch I encountered while searching around.
If you haven’t subscribed to the channel yet I would greatly appreciate your support and as always thanks for watching! 👍🐟

Yes that was what brought me here! Didn’t see anything but these fish and lots of mud bottom this time.

Shouldn’t be too deep, the drone is rated to go deeper than the lake itself is and that’s a project I’ll be working on hopefully very soon!
