your smooth and extensive explanation is exactly how biochem needs to be taught. these other teachers teach like they are teaching themselves with short term words and blah blah which complicates it. hopefully i pass my exams. thanks!
My professor's lectures make biochemistry seem like an untamable beast. Your lectures make biochemistry fun and easy to understand. Really really appreciate these lectures, they're fantastic!
The most thorough comprehensive explanation of electron chain transport that I have ever come across. He goes at a fairly quick pace, but is very coherent and easy to understand and listen to. An exceptionally talented highly skilled lecturer.
I really feel that for studying biology well, you have to study chemistry, for latter you have to study physics and for physics, you have to know maths, thus study of biology is the application of maths physics and chemistry...and I am lucky to be studying all of them together
This video is liked by people from the 90s more I believe because it makes us re live the classroom days without any smart classes or boards to play fancy animations. He teaches like a determined teacher who literally draws all diagrams on board along with short notes. Thank you so much for your time. Best wishes from 🇮🇳 ❤
Salute! The pain u take in explaining things so easily shows that u r a great helper and a teacher indeed.. thanks for all ir super amazing videos SIR :)
English is not my first language so when I watch educational videos, they used to speak so fast to the point that I can't understand a word from what they are saying!! But U are totally different, I could understand every word u said 😊 You are amazing!!! THANK U for this wonderful video💛
Sir, thank you for your time and investment to teach others like myself. No doubt you've got the best illustrations with great simplification of the processes
You are amazing! You go deeper than crash course but is just as easy to understand due to your ability to break each step down slowly and coherently. Thank you for creating this!
I literally fell upon this video two days before my Biochem final and it has been tremendously helpful. I wish I knew about this earlier. I hope you make videos on each and ever single topic in Biochem! You are fantastic!
I really appreciate your effort, the attention to detail and meticulous simplification of complex concepts - explaining the "why" and "how." You're the best.
Omg thank you so much! Your lectures are so clear and I could understand from just this video which takes only 15mins compared to my 2 hours lectures in school!
Sir, I'm going to tell you this, with absolutely NO hesitation: If I could hug you right now, I SO would!!!! Yes, it was that helpful. Thanks so much! Hands down, best Biochem teacher ever.
Thank you so much, now I understand those complicated. As I was studying this in biochemistry. Chapter 18 on my book I got lost in between the chapter but thank you so much again for making it so easy. This will be my final exam for biochemistry in summer. Thank you thank you. You are awesome........
I suspect that most of the University professors don't understand Biochemistry entirely, that is why they can not explain it well. Only when you can explain to someone in simple terms you understand it completely! And that is why your explanations are understood so well!! Thank you!!!
I have learned so much from your past lectures and this one. Questions; Is there a reason you did not show complex 1 and 2 as an attached unit? and Is QH2 not involved where you have FADH2?
In the step involving protein complex IV when you donate 2 electrons to the 02 molecule I would in my limited capacity to understand complex things, expect to end up with an Ionized oxygen not a a water molecule. Unless there is one more step where the Ionized Oxygen species is paired with the protons coming back through the Atp synthase. Appreciate any clarification to my misunderstandings
"Lactic acid provides energy for seizures" - cited from "Glycolysis in energy metabolism during seizures" DOI:10.3969/j.issn.1673-5374.2013.14.008 Yet it is unknown why. I am thankful for anyone with an hypothesis on how lactid acid contribute to energy creation in the Glycolysis process shown in this video. This could explain tonic clonic seizures.
this helped me in high school, it helped me in undergrad, and now im coming back again for graduate school
your smooth and extensive explanation is exactly how biochem needs to be taught. these other teachers teach like they are teaching themselves with short term words and blah blah which complicates it. hopefully i pass my exams. thanks!

thanks for the kind words, Dani! :)
exactly...
😂
much better than khan, keep doing great videos!
I agree ! Khan Academy didn't even explain the electron transport chain I was so confused.
I agree with you
godbless you A K ❤
Really great
The most thorough comprehensive explanation of electron chain transport that I have ever come across. He goes at a fairly quick pace, but is very coherent and easy to understand and listen to. An exceptionally talented highly skilled lecturer.
It's very impressive that you are a mathematician and do so well teaching biochemistry, and a big range of science subjects as well.
I really feel that for studying biology well, you have to study chemistry, for latter you have to study physics and for physics, you have to know maths, thus study of biology is the application of maths physics and chemistry...and I am lucky to be studying all of them together
I never really comment on videos, but I just want to tell you how much you've helped me with surviving my Biochem class! Keep doing great things!
