I think everyone gets a few members mixed up in the beginning but as you continue to watch their content and get to know them more you'll be able to tell them apart. One thing I forgot to mention that I'm pretty sure you'll notice later on is that one of the members, Handong (the Chinese member) will be missing from some of their MVs and special clips. In late 2019 she went on a Chinese survival show called "Youth With You" she was unable to rejoin the group back in Korea after she was eliminated from the show because of travel restrictions due to Covid; so unfortunately she was stuck in China for almost a whole year and she missed out on their first full album (Dystopia: The Tree of Language) and their 5th mini album (Dystopia: Lose Myself) She was able to return for the next album however (Dystopia: Road to Utopia) which completed the Dystopia trilogy. You’re not wrong about the twin thing, I had the hardest time getting names to faces with this group. Even Yoohyeon and Handong confuse themselves for each other. Their parents do too, lol. dreamcatcher intentionally makes their lyrics abstract because they want the listener to interpret them as how the music makes them feel. their leader jiu said neither their lyrics nor their videos have an absolute singular meaning. however as I mentioned, there is a recurring theme in many of their songs. many of their songs are about not giving up on your dreams, hence dream 'catcher'. if you read the lyrics in this light, the pronouns are actually referring to a dream/wish and not a person. so 'and there was no one left' can be interpreted as feeling lost and alone, but holding on to your dreams like a star in the sky to guide you out of your despair. a lot of this goes back to their pre-dreamcatcher history when 5 members were in a failed group that left several of them very depressed. in fact it was mentioned siyeon didn't leave her room for a long time and wanted to quit but jiu convinced her to carry on. siyeon said her only wish was to be on stage again so she was happy to be given a second chance with dreamcatcher. in fact she is also the only member to be given a solo song 'paradise' in their discography which she wrote and helped compose. during this time she also got a tattoo in the back of her neck 'paradise is where I am' which fans like myself interpret as finally fulfilling one of her dreams - being able to release her own song.

My favorite b-side is this song. Whistle and Poison Love or any of their Tree Of Langue B-sides have not been a take to take the 1 spot from it. This Era- Piri Era is when Siyeon became my other bias.. After I watched all the title tracks, up to Scream and Boca, this was probably the first b-side i listed too. … it only took 1 video,Boca, for Dami to claim me and 4 total with Piri for Siyeon to also claim me. I tend to know my bias(s) and wreckers pretty quickly in groups. “Welcome to the Dreamworld” is a more in-depth guide to the music and over view of the members and it’s like 42 minutes long, some people split their reaction into to parts- pt 1: the music and pt 2: the members. Insomnicy’s “This is Dreamcatcher” video from that series that is group dynamic. The other videos in that series are more member specific and is a good way to know them more in-depth. I would recommend both 2020 and 2021 versions as they have different clips. The videos are also short so it is possible to do for example “This is Jiu” (2020) and (2021) in the same reaction. Yoohyeon and JiU get confused, MCs on shoes have said that they look alike. Yoohyeon and Handong.. especially during Summer Holiday when they both had blonde hair and their moms confused them or did not recognize them. SuA and Siyeon can also get confused.

I've seen a lot of people be defensively quick to correct others about that. Some of their lyrics DO come off as a love song. Like, that's not arguable. I think what people are trying to say is that they don't make hollow and/or cliché romance songs. There is almost always a deeper meaning and/or metaphor they are expressing. I agree with that. Not trying to debate anyone. Those are just my feelings on it and wanted to get them out since they are relevant. As for a guide, of the two that I posted on one of your other videos, I really kind of like the one with the spoilers. The content on it is rather up-to-date, informative, and does a good job representing the group and members. The MV snippets start at 1 : 21 and end at 4 : 50. The rest of the spoilers are going to be in the form of live performances, random Special Clip snippets, or some B-side snippets for transition music between the segments. You've already heard a decent chunk of the spoilers that will happen during the member section. They have a lot of "BEcause" (their latest title track) spoilers so, ummm, yeah. Other than that, I personally think it would still be worth it. An orange tabby named Fionna and a tuxedo Bombay (probably) mix named Seamus. I'm sure they enjoy Dreamcatcher. They're probably tired of my poor attempts at singing along with their songs though.
You're not wrong about the lyrics being more open to interpretation. Jiu wrote Dear for the fans and it reads exactly like a love song so yea they definitely have an interpretive quality to their lyrics. I don't particularly confuse Sua and Siyeon (blonde) myself but they do look quite similar since they both have sharp eyes and strong expressions but Siyeon has a more rounded face while Sua has really sharp pointy features. In fact the company actually leaned into their similarity and made them the creepy twins in their old mv's. JiU and Yoohyeon also confuse a lot of people (again I don't fully see it cause their eyes are drastically different but they are more similar than Sua and Siyeon) and their company actually used them for a shot in Piri and that is why they have practically the same pinkish red hair in this clip. The REAL problem twins in DC are Handong and Yoohyeon because even their own mothers can't tell them apart sometimes. Gahyeon is the thicc one, she is one of the examples of healthy steady weightloss as well as healthy environment and I don't think much anyone including the company and fans ever really wanted her to drop weight through unhealthy diets. Also yes Siyeon And Gahyeon are the queens of expressions.

Gahyeon is the one you 'slurped' at. lol She's the maknae, which just means she is the youngest in the group. The third lady from the left, who whispered in Siyeon's ear, is the oldest and the leader of the group. Her name is JiU (the i sounds like ee, so it sounds like JeeYou). Whatever microphone you are using is TOO GOOD. It is picking up a BUNCH of sounds from elsewhere. To me, it sounds like somebody is moving furniture around in the apartment building (kind of distracting, but not terrible). I have had that same problem with a particular laptop that I used for Skype, and anybody I was on Skype with could tell when I had people coming up to my door before I even knew it. CRAZY stuff. I never did figure out how to fix that. It's the opposite of a shotgun mic, since it picks up EVERYTHING instead of being extremely directional. Great reaction, though. I have no favorite among them, or, they are ALL my favorite. OT7!

Oh, also keep in mind, these ladies change their hair often (including eyebrows) so it will still be easy to get confused sometimes. Just keep watching them and you will get their faces memorized enough to eventually know each of them on sight. It really took me a LONG time but I also have bad eyes on top of there being seven members. For some of the ladies, it's obvious who they are BUT there are two pairs of them who always get mixed up for being each other by people who are new to the fandom. People frequently mix up Siyeon and SuA and people frequently mix up Handong and Yoohyeon (even their own mothers mixed them up in a recent comeback when they were both the same shade of Blonde...). Most importantly, don't feel alone, because you are not. It's okay. And the answers will come. :)

so 'and there was no one left' can be interpreted as feeling lost and alone, but holding on to your dreams like a star in the sky to guide you out of your despair. a lot of this goes back to their pre-dreamcatcher history when 5 members were in a failed group that left several of them very depressed. in fact it was mentioned siyeon didn't leave her room for a long time and wanted to quit but jiu convinced her to carry on. siyeon said her only wish was to be on stage again so she was happy to be given a second chance with dreamcatcher. in fact she is also the only member to be given a solo song 'paradise' in their discography which she wrote and helped compose. during this time she also got a tattoo in the back of her neck 'paradise is where I am' which fans like myself interpret as finally fulfilling one of her dreams - being able to release her own song.
I love that they’re so open to anyone listening! And I think the part about not giving up on dreams and catching them.. is beautiful. It all ties together, their songs the meaning their name! Such art 😭❤️

My favorite b-side is this song. Whistle and Poison Love or any of their Tree Of Langue B-sides have not been a take to take the 1 spot from it. This Era- Piri Era is when Siyeon became my other bias.. After I watched all the title tracks, up to Scream and Boca, this was probably the first b-side i listed too. … it only took 1 video,Boca, for Dami to claim me and 4 total with Piri for Siyeon to also claim me. I tend to know my bias(s) and wreckers pretty quickly in groups.
“Welcome to the Dreamworld” is a more in-depth guide to the music and over view of the members and it’s like 42 minutes long, some people split their reaction into to parts- pt 1: the music and pt 2: the members. Insomnicy’s “This is Dreamcatcher” video from that series that is group dynamic. The other videos in that series are more member specific and is a good way to know them more in-depth. I would recommend both 2020 and 2021 versions as they have different clips. The videos are also short so it is possible to do for example “This is Jiu” (2020) and (2021) in the same reaction.
Yoohyeon and JiU get confused, MCs on shoes have said that they look alike. Yoohyeon and Handong.. especially during Summer Holiday when they both had blonde hair and their moms confused them or did not recognize them. SuA and Siyeon can also get confused.

This song is so chill. The Dami vocals always get me too. The blonde member's name is Siyeon, pronounced "Shiyun". Her vocals are simply unfair. 😂 I do want to speak my mind about the love song bit. I've seen a lot of people be defensively quick to correct others about that. Some of their lyrics DO come off as a love song. Like, that's not arguable. I think what people are trying to say is that they don't make hollow and/or cliché romance songs. There is almost always a deeper meaning and/or metaphor they are expressing. I agree with that. Not trying to debate anyone. Those are just my feelings on it and wanted to get them out since they are relevant.
As for a guide, of the two that I posted on one of your other videos, I really kind of like the one with the spoilers. The content on it is rather up-to-date, informative, and does a good job representing the group and members. The MV snippets start at 1 : 21 and end at 4 : 50. The rest of the spoilers are going to be in the form of live performances, random Special Clip snippets, or some B-side snippets for transition music between the segments. You've already heard a decent chunk of the spoilers that will happen during the member section. They have a lot of "BEcause" (their latest title track) spoilers so, ummm, yeah. Other than that, I personally think it would still be worth it.

You're not wrong about the lyrics being more open to interpretation. Jiu wrote Dear for the fans and it reads exactly like a love song so yea they definitely have an interpretive quality to their lyrics.
I don't particularly confuse Sua and Siyeon (blonde) myself but they do look quite similar since they both have sharp eyes and strong expressions but Siyeon has a more rounded face while Sua has really sharp pointy features. In fact the company actually leaned into their similarity and made them the creepy twins in their old mv's. JiU and Yoohyeon also confuse a lot of people (again I don't fully see it cause their eyes are drastically different but they are more similar than Sua and Siyeon) and their company actually used them for a shot in Piri and that is why they have practically the same pinkish red hair in this clip. The REAL problem twins in DC are Handong and Yoohyeon because even their own mothers can't tell them apart sometimes.
Gahyeon is the thicc one, she is one of the examples of healthy steady weightloss as well as healthy environment and I don't think much anyone including the company and fans ever really wanted her to drop weight through unhealthy diets.
Also yes Siyeon And Gahyeon are the queens of expressions.

Whatever microphone you are using is TOO GOOD. It is picking up a BUNCH of sounds from elsewhere. To me, it sounds like somebody is moving furniture around in the apartment building (kind of distracting, but not terrible).
I have had that same problem with a particular laptop that I used for Skype, and anybody I was on Skype with could tell when I had people coming up to my door before I even knew it. CRAZY stuff. I never did figure out how to fix that. It's the opposite of a shotgun mic, since it picks up EVERYTHING instead of being extremely directional.

Oh, also keep in mind, these ladies change their hair often (including eyebrows) so it will still be easy to get confused sometimes. Just keep watching them and you will get their faces memorized enough to eventually know each of them on sight. It really took me a LONG time but I also have bad eyes on top of there being seven members.
For some of the ladies, it's obvious who they are BUT there are two pairs of them who always get mixed up for being each other by people who are new to the fandom.
People frequently mix up Siyeon and SuA and people frequently mix up Handong and Yoohyeon (even their own mothers mixed them up in a recent comeback when they were both the same shade of Blonde...). Most importantly, don't feel alone, because you are not. It's okay. And the answers will come. :)
