My skin is cleared up! I was on accutane from January to July. At first it took 4 months to see some major results I didn’t really go though purging, slowly my skin cleared up all I have to focus on are my scaring. But after my last round of accutane I got oily again but no breakouts yet. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼if I start breaking out again I’ll take accutane in a heartbeat
I take that back when I first started I noticed the third day my white heads basically got pushed out. And my blemishes were still there. After may my skin was much clearer. My skin did okay it wasn’t painful. I still wore makeup,sunscreen. When I looked at my skin while on accutane my skin looked dry close up but I wasn’t oily or severely dry. Keep in mind I have eczema( on my wrist)it got very dry and sensitive. And you nose will dry up a lot. It sounds scary taking it but i promise it’s worth it 🥰

I have only gotten maybe 2 pimples in the last 6 months since I’ve been off of it. I highly recommend if you’re willing to go on it !
@@jayjay5096 personally, I used the la roche posay hydrating cleanser. It works so well, If not that then the cerave hydrating cleanser. Aquaphor is going to be your lips’ best friend lol. Make sure you stock up on aquaphor. I used the cerave daily moisturizing lotion for my skin after cleansing. Make sure you DONT exfoliate on accutane. Seriously, it made my skin even more irritated and you don’t need to exfoliate while on it. I also used the ordinary hylauronic acid. It helps hydrate the skin and you put it on before moisturizer :) hope this helps
I start accutane on February 25 2021! I have been dealing with acne since eight grade! I’m currently a sophomore in high school. I am pretty nervous ngl. So hopefully everything goes great!!😁
My dermatology just give me easy tips to keep my skin healty i use a cleanser cerave for normal to dry skin and a serum (cerave) and a cream for extramely dry skin same company and a sunscreen50+ thats all told me to use nothing else because it helps me a lot and a lipbalm 💁easy and is not expensive

Christian kyle Acbang i feel you! My acne was worst at the 3 month mark and I still had acne at the 6 month mark but towards the 8 month it was clear. And I had scarring but it has faded the longer I used anti-scar products. My Derm wanted to put me on accutane before I got deep scars though. I think it’s different for everyone depending on how severe your acne is / genetics. Almost two years later after accutane I still get acne, but just minor breakouts and it’s easier to control, but my acne is mostly due to stress! I’m sorry to hear about how hard your experience is right now, but I hope it gets better!
I love to work out and i heard accutane gives u severe body pains. Im gonna go on a six month journey next month. I’m really scared coz i cant not work out for six months. Thats just torture
Zander OG hey! I love exercising too but I think you’ll be fine working out on accutane. Just remember to be gentle with yourself and patient; you might have to lower the intensity of your workouts but if anything it’s good to have your joints moving whilst on accutane! You got this ☺️
It should! The only thing I would say is that my lips were still pretty dry until 6 months after I got off accutane! Are you having dry scalp or just dry hair in general? If you’re having dry scalp I suggest sleeping with coconut oil on your scalp and then washing it out the next morning! If your hair of it’s entirety is dry definitely purchase some hair masks ☺️ hope this helps!

Hi! I was pretty much on 40 mg for 7 months, but for the first month my doctor gave me 80mg accidentally. I did not experience hair loss, but my scalp was dry. I don’t recommend anything lower than 40mg, so I think 30 mg is not enough, but again I’m not a medical professional so definitely ask your doctor! 😊 happy to help!

Hi!! Thanks for your question. You shouldn’t be waxing your body either, at least that’s what the doctor told me because accutane makes your skin sensitive in all areas in general!! Just to be safe I wouldn’t wax. You can shave or pluck though! Good luck! 😊
I am on day 16 and I noticed the dry lips starting day 4 but I have been applying aqua for every time I feel the dryness coming on. The dry skin is preventable as mine hasn’t been too bad just yet with applying moisturizer with SPF multiple times a day and the neutrogena water boost twice at night, hope this helps!!
My skin completely cleared up 5 months into accutane, but I would say accutane works pretty quickly. You go through cycles because the medicine pulls everything out of your skin! So it got worse before it completely cleared up. As for your second question, I would also say the same as Nataschia W, I got dry lips within the first couple weeks. I definitely recommend applying aquaphor and drinking plenty of water as well. Hope this helps as well, and good luck!
this is my 10th day on accutane and so far today was the first day i woke up with very dry lips and around the lips !! its nothing major yet but the worst side effect i have started at day 9 which was the dry scalp because it itches so much and it starts to burn and it affected my sleep cus it bothered so much and it’s weird cus it only burnt in the night when i tried to sleep

I’m not sure, but I would stay away from any topicals as your skin is sensitive on accutane. I can’t for sure say as I’m not a medical expert, so please check in with your doctor! 😊
After a week of taking this, my moods have changed for the worse. Any advice..I feel like I'm slipping into a state of depression and there's no turning back. I never thought I'd feel this way.
So sorry to hear that, I would recommend to stop taking it and contact your doctor immediately! Your mental health is the most important thing. Rachel Marie dame with me , dairy sugar and coffee for some reason. I am dairy free whenever I cheat I’ll break out but cutting the sugar has been hard I love chocolate or cookies and pastries really... I need to find some sugar free desert and fruit doesn’t cut it !!! Lol
Hi! I'm sorry for the late response but yes! you can pluck, tweeze, or shave on accutane and I've had no problems at all. It's just the abrasive waxing that is bad for ripping sensitive skin on accutane! Hope that helps ❤️

Sorry to hear that. How many mgs are you taking? I would let your doctor know immediately to see if they suggest to stop taking it or to be put on a lower dose! Make sure to use lots of shea butter and aquaphor for the lips. Good luck! 😊
Hi! Sorry for the late response, for some reason sometimes I don't get notifications... To answer your question I did not drink while taking the medication, HOWEVER, I did turn 21 when I was on accutane, so my doctor told me a week prior to when I would want to drink STOP taking accutane, and don't take it for the duration of when you want to drink. Then you can go back on it a couple days after you stop drinking. But again, consult with your doctor first. The person who responded to you is right!

I mix it in with moisturizer for the face and only use it on the face when I need it but I never had problems using it on my body everyday ! 😊 do what’s best for you😊
Make sure you aren’t consuming alcohol or medicine besides accutane that is harsh on the liver. Also keep up with the monthly lab routines and consult your doctor!! You shouldn’t live in fear like that so if you are super concerned I would recommend getting off accutane. I’m sorry but I hope that helps ❤️ good luck!

Can i use adaclin gel(nicotinamite and clindamycin gel)on face when taking isotretinoin 10mg?

Have you tried epilating while on Accutane ? Or like plucking your eyebrows using tweezers? Or like remove facial hair ??

Sorry to hear that. How many mgs are you taking? I would let your doctor know immediately to see if they suggest to stop taking it or to be put on a lower dose! Make sure to use lots of shea butter and aquaphor for the lips. Good luck! 😊

Hi! Sorry for the late response, for some reason sometimes I don't get notifications... To answer your question I did not drink while taking the medication, HOWEVER, I did turn 21 when I was on accutane, so my doctor told me a week prior to when I would want to drink STOP taking accutane, and don't take it for the duration of when you want to drink. Then you can go back on it a couple days after you stop drinking. But again, consult with your doctor first. The person who responded to you is right!

I mix it in with moisturizer for the face and only use it on the face when I need it but I never had problems using it on my body everyday ! 😊 do what’s best for you😊

I’m on day 4 of accutane. I heard that it can cause some heath and liver problems in the future. I’m so scared right now😢
Make sure you aren’t consuming alcohol or medicine besides accutane that is harsh on the liver. Also keep up with the monthly lab routines and consult your doctor!! You shouldn’t live in fear like that so if you are super concerned I would recommend getting off accutane. I’m sorry but I hope that helps ❤️ good luck!
