Mr Pavarotti, was singing “It’s a Mans World” in Italian. If you look at the Orchestra, at the end tapping sounds are audible they tap to honor the performance, it’s not often done. It was magnificent!
Pavarotti was one of the most renown opera tenors of the last hundred years. His voice was his instrument. He also did surprising collaborations in his 50s and 60s with pop culture figures, like James Brown, Sting and Bryan Adams among others. He also did a tour in the 1990s ‘The Three Tenors’ with two of the other ‘best’ tenors of the age where they would take turns singing stanzas of famous tenor parts from various popular operas, trying to out do each other. I’m not a huge opera guy but I definitely appreciated that stuff and this. James Brown of course…you know! I hadn’t seen seen or heard this before-this was great.
This is one of the best performance ever seen. EVER. Resume of Pavarotti lirycs : "Man chase power but... nothing have any meaning if someone live for himself only."
This was definitely an epic performance. Pavarotti was an exceptional opera singer and James Brown..well what can you say? He was James Brown. Pavarotti and Caruso were my favorite male opera singers. I couldn't see it on my phone but it's either a cello (chello like jello) or a standing bass. If the person was sitting it's a cello. A standing/upright bass has to be played standing because it's about 6 ft tall. A cello is slightly smaller.
Where have you been living? Luciano Pavarotti has simply been the greatest tenor of contemporary times. James Brown is a legend, can't even begin to list his hits. Great performance. If you want to check out Pavarotti's performances, try Nessun Dorma, or Ave Maria.
Actually not just Africa, also the middle east. He raised millions and millions for refugees all over the world. These were annual concerts that last a decade
Pavarotti was legendary, many big names recorded colabs with him. James brown was a legend as well. Who ever put them together was certainly thinking outside the box. You never watched Rocky 3 @Disfunktional TeeVee? James Brown was in that movie. He sang the song from that movie, "Living in America". James is worth checking out by himself. Brovo to who ever requested this. Great selection. Now lets vibe.... Smoooooooooth.
Every single duet was entirely down to Pavarotti, these were his concerts every single one. All proceeds went to give refugees a better life, Pavarotti raised millions and was even made a united nations ambassador of peace for a decade for all his work. He didnt just raise money he also volunteered many hours to help those less fortunate and was said to have become obsessed with doing all he could for the less fortunate
This should show us, as people, even though you may be different when you come together you can make Beautiful music...or have a beautiful life living peacefully with one another!
pavarotti put on concerts annually to help the poor in his native Italy . he invited artists he enjoyed to perform with him. no payment involved. it was a great honor to be asked . check out his duo with celine dion to be blown away ..
The Orchestra including the violins were already playing from the start! The Orchestra is there for both singers. Luciano is an opera singer, he is one of the famous 3 tenors!
Thank you for posting this one, it is one of my favorites. Such a treat to see the GOATs in their own music genre perform a duet together. Some other duets with performers from different music genres that I would highly recommend reacting to are: "Champion" by Carrie Underwood (country) and Ludacris (rap), "Perfect" Ed Sheeran (pop) and Andrea Bocelli (opera), and "Undo It/Walk This Way" Steven Tyler from Aerosmith (hard rock) and Carrie Underwood (country)-- all are great!
It’s actually not an odd match up because it’s all (regardless of genre) great music. If you liked this you should definitely check out Freddie Mercury and the incredibly talented Montserrat Caballe singing Barcelona (live version). Prepare to have your socks knocked off.
The story of thay collaboration is even better than the song. Pavarotti was so eager for Bono to write him a song that he went as far as befriending Bono's Italian housekeeper and would call every day asking for "God" which is what he would call Bono lol . Very soon the housekeeper would constantly harangue bono and say God is going to judge you if you don't write a song for Mr Pavarotti luckily bono did write the song in the end lol
BANGIN WITH THAT HOT FIRE , TRY JAMES BROWN IN 1974 LIVE IN ZAIRE, THE PAYBACK, AND SOUL TRAIN, THE GOODFOOT, MIX VIDEO, AND YOU WILL SEE WHERE HIP HOP STARTED FROM .
OMG! i love your reactions and I follow you, but seriously?? Lu "ch" iano Pavarotti and James Brown, I mean... legends. The show I guess was "Pavarotti and friends" and I think it was for some humanitarian cause. This two incredible artists left this world leaving and incredible amount of works of art! Instruments in the orchestra: if you talk about "strings", violini primi (higher voice in violins) secondi violini ( normally playing the second line of the harmony) viole ( medium range) violoncelli (cello, low range) contrabbassi (lowest range) I am done with the strings! I love your enthusiasm!!
You don't speak Italian, @Disfunktional TeeVee? I thought you were part Italian. (I'm just missing with ya, I'm part Italian too and I don't know how to speak Italian.)
That is the Viola. The Cello is even larger, so that you have to stand to play it. Let the video finish. ALWAYS let the video finish. You missed James Brown's most famous line, cut him right off before he could answer the reporter. Injoyous Interuptous!!!!! Dimash auto-corrects. Pavarotti wouldn't ever have even thought of using auto-correct.
Have you ever heard Pavarotti in his early years - I wonder how Dimash‘s voice will be in 20 years. Could be he has to sing only opera to get near Pavarotti.
The Maestro and the Godfather of Soul together....Legends!!!!

You should listen to Luciano Pavarotti "Nessun dorma"; "O sole mio"; "Caruso". All pieces of art.

Like Todd Howard said: "It just works"!
It’s actually not an odd match up because it’s all (regardless of genre) great music. If you liked this you should definitely check out Freddie Mercury and the incredibly talented Montserrat Caballe singing Barcelona (live version). Prepare to have your socks knocked off.

Talk at the end of song PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Italian vocabulary.. ci and ce have a ch sound.. like cello the instrument. So LOU CHEE AHN OH
You should try interrupting the song with comments every ten seconds instead of every twenty seconds. You're the show, nobody cares about the music.
Speak for yourself, Pavarotti and his music were fabulous, Of course we care.
Fale menos !
Du redest zuviel.
fake reaction boy
Sorry Dimash is no where Luciano’s level
Have you ever heard Pavarotti in his early years - I wonder how Dimash‘s voice will be in 20 years.
Could be he has to sing only opera to get near Pavarotti.
@@p.f.5718 he will never reach that!
