This is awesome ❤❤❤ my favorite cartoon is the original X-Men TAS and now I have X-Men 97 to continue it and make it even that much better. I'm a 10 year old again and I'm so grateful. Thank you for all that you do.

I can’t wait to watch this! Larry Houston is my hero for how faithful to the Phoenix saga he made sure the 90s series was. What a guy!

If any feature length film with as much happening as happens in fifteen minutes of this show really good.

The Summer’s brother Larry Houston is referring to that can boil blood is Adam-X (Adam Neramani). He’s a baby made from Lilandra’s brother D’Ken DNA and Scott’s mom.

Great interview! Loved hearing you and Rick talk about Avengers EMH. That, '97 and The Spectacular Spider-Man (which I know you storyboarded on) are my favorite Marvel TV Shows. I hope you both get to return to EMH with an "EMH'12" revival someday!

It is nice listening to the insight and behind the scenes in this and the previous video! Excellent work all around!
    Some thoughts and observations...
I would also give a shout out to Scott Lobdell. He was the primary writer on Uncanny X-Men (and later the second X-Men title) in the 90s, lasting for 7 years after Claremont left the series (following a few issues with John Byrne returning). Most people who grew up during and coming out of the Claremont era tend to be either hit or miss with his run, but Lobdell was the writer responsible for creating The X-Cutioner and Bastion, including being the main writer for Operation Zero Tolerance. He also co-wrote the Fatal Attractions issues (along with Fabian Nicieza) that episode 9 is based around. He also co-created and named Onslaught (prior to the character's full reveal) *IF* the show ends up going that route, which is the speculation.
The other "Summers Brother" that I believe Larry was eluding to is Adam-X (Adam Neramani) from some early 90s X-Force issues. He was in a handful before vanishing for the better part of two decades. He recently returned in X-Men Legends, a short-lived anthology series from classic creators that Marvel released during the pandemic.
It would be fun to see the Starjammers return and then Corsair, Cyclops and Cable (all 'C' names, humorously) can have a very awkward family reunion.
How I explained using the classic costumes away was that several members of the X-Men damaged their uniforms fighting the Prime Sentinels and didn't have access to backup uniforms due to the destruction at the mansion, so they go back and get the old ones. Of course, this doesn't explain what happened to Jean and Scott's uniforms from the previous episode, or where Roberto or Nathan got theirs from.
Although it is not referenced in the show, Magneto was "reborn" as an infant in issues of The Defenders after the Silver Age X-Men ended and before Giant Size relaunched them. When he returned to adulthood, it was in a seemingly much younger body. He even gets revenge on the X-Men in issue #112 by taking them hostage and having a robot nanny tend to them as babies. One of the reasons why a holocaust survivor would still have as much vitality in 1997 (at least in the comics!) -- I know you indicated you were a Claremont/Byrne person, but since that took place before they were on the series, I figured I would point it out if you didn't already know.
By coincidence, Elliot S. Maggin wrote the second episode of "Time Fugitives" from the original animated series where Jean sees a glimpse of Scott and Madelyne as Cable's father that Larry mentioned earlier. 😉
I remember looking forward to that Captain America series and then discovering it was cancelled. I had read (probably in issues of Wizard) that it kept shifting between being a modern series or one set in World War II and that also they were trying to find a way to incorporate certain "forbidden" aspects in the show without actually acknowledging them, but Hydra was already pushing it for Saturday Morning television.

Hi on the next one could you ask or talk about the animation process and how long it takes and how many animators work on a single episode . Also would like to know how long Larry was retired for before he got the call to come back for 97 and he ever hoped it would happen.

the electromagnetic field for earth was eroded by Mageneto, the earth would lose that shielding and would be subjected to solar flares that would kill all of earth. Thats why magneto needed to be stopped and reverse his pulse.

Need to fix the volume levels. Your speech is too quiet compared to the tv cuts you put here and there.
The difference hurts when in headphones.
